Ok, that was incredible! I've been trying to think of different ways to sign this song because of all the repetitive lyrics. I'm so glad I saw your video! I love the way you change up the "amen" portion. Can you tell me, in the part "he is for you" (time: 4:56) is the sign you're using "support?" I've always used a directional "help" sign, but yours looks better, I'm just not sure what it is. Thanks! Can't wait for more!

This is an ASL interpretation of the song so she is signing the meaning and concept of the words, which is not an exact word for word English translation. It’s the same in other places where the song says “he is for you” she does different signs to represent the meaning in the song.

Larisa Lynn Ortiz It could be that there are different concepts being included in the meaning of the word “amen”, such as how the Lord is with us, He cares for us, our response is to show our love for Him, and things like that.
Yeah I totally understand what you mean. From what I have seen and heard through listening to various interpreters and my own understanding and research of ASL song interpretations is that a lot of it can depend on being appealing visually, so they might have added those other signs to add more meaning to it but also make it more visually pleasing than just repeating the same sign. It really does depend on the interpreter though, I always find it interesting to watch the different interpretations of the same songs, I think it’s so cool!

I am learning sign language in English interpretatiin and ASL. Why are the repetitions of Amen differently than the first sign??
This is an ASL interpretation of the song so she is signing the meaning and concept of the words, which is not an exact word for word English translation. It’s the same in other places where the song says “he is for you” she does different signs to represent the meaning in the song.
@@Meliss301 I understand that ASL is a lot of interpretation vs. word for word but it doesn't answer my question. If the word Amen is said three times, why is it not the same sign the three times?

Larisa Lynn Ortiz It could be that there are different concepts being included in the meaning of the word “amen”, such as how the Lord is with us, He cares for us, our response is to show our love for Him, and things like that.
Yeah I totally understand what you mean. From what I have seen and heard through listening to various interpreters and my own understanding and research of ASL song interpretations is that a lot of it can depend on being appealing visually, so they might have added those other signs to add more meaning to it but also make it more visually pleasing than just repeating the same sign. It really does depend on the interpreter though, I always find it interesting to watch the different interpretations of the same songs, I think it’s so cool!
