Great video. I love these books. The village one Is based on the video game Animal Crossing. He also has 3 dinosaur books out called Chompy Fluff Monsters which are super cute.
Lovely. I bought this book after seeing your flip through but haven't tried it yet.. might give it a go tomorrow. I did a ton of coloring today, I cut my thumb at work yesterday and have been sent home for three days by the doctor. It's not terrible but it's on the top of the knuckle and needs to be clean, dry, and immobile to heal so it doesn't break open.. and since I work in a restaurant kitchen that can't happen there. So I spent the entire day coloring (it's on my non coloring hand thankfully) and listening to audiobook. I finished a large page in Wildflowers, did the inside cover and title page of the Basford mini forest book (don't think I'm going to continue with that one.. it's just too small, hurts my eyes and it's very hard to color. I really wish she had done portions of the original drawings in their original size.. like the back side of the pages... instead of shrinking it all to microscopic size).. and did two pages plus started a third in the Berman land book which I adore. I can see myself buying all of Berman's books, I just wish they were easier for me to get in the US. Those were the ones I had to go through Book Depository for and took three weeks to arrive.
Enjoy your colouring, I may treat myself to a few days just colouring soon! I think Rita's lande book is probably my favourite at the moment but I am sure I will change my mind, shame you cannot get them easily
Now that you have had a chance to use it more, what do you think of the Castle Golds? They seem to go down on paper really nice, but the colors are quite odd.
@@RachelHendersonColouring I'm finding myself frustrated with the green selection in my Brutfuner squares.. there are a lot but many are just very similar, both in color and value. Only two very dark greens, and the majority are somewhere in the middle. It's difficult for pictures with a lot of green.. I was doing the first big image in the Berman land book this afternoon, it's a circle with a landscape, plants, and animals... I found myself having a hard time making the different areas different enough to show up with grass, evergreens, normal trees, tropical trees, cactus, and green animals all in the same space.
@@waymire01 You can darken greens with browns but also with dark blue (just add some yellow if they seem too bluey) - it could be worth having an experiment in your sketch book / on scrap paper. Also you coudl try using some darker greens from another set, I find most sets can work well together with no problems.
Thank you for watching, please pop along a views June's video too - ua-cam.com/video/A-H3qKa63Bo/v-deo.html
What a lovely surprise. Thank you for the very beautfiful bonus video.🙃💛

Lovely autumn colors! It's amazing how a little detail like the color of the tiny doors can give the picture life.
Thank you, isn't it!
Fascinating to see both pages! 🎃🎃🎃

Rachel you have made a beautiful combination of tones, the scene looks warm, cozy and feels like going to sleep next to the owl. Cheers!!

I have seen those, I have never played animal crossing but I dont think it matters, the book still looks cute!
I usually stay away from animal books, as I just don't know how to do the animals, but I love this. I think I am going to look more carefully!
I stay away from people books for the same reason but I am determined to master them one day!

I agree! I am getting used to the colours but there seem to be gaps, but the 120 might have a better range
