- This is my review of the iPhone 15 in...green? Are you sure that's green, Apple? In any case, there are a lot of big upgrades coming to the base model iPhones this year. Here are my thoughts.

I actually really like the color choices of the base 15’s. In my opinion the best shades they’ve had in a while. I like the pastel look , before the colors were too overwhelming
I wouldn't mind it if they also had a purely white option. But since they don't the black one is definitely the one to go for IMO.

The main 48MP camera is not the same as the 14 Pro… This is a big mistake by a lot of reviewers, the iPhone 15 Pro has the same camera system as the 14 Pro, the 15 has a little bit smaller and different main sensor.

When you said it’s the biggest upgrade since the iPhone 12, that was actually music to my ears. I upgraded from the iPhone 12 to the iPhone 15 Plus. Worth it and love it. Always loved the Plus iPhones.

The iPhone 15 this year is probably the most solid upgrade I’ve seen since the iPhone 12. Most complain it doesn’t have ProMotion but to me I prefer having better battery life. We gain so much more in a lighter package. Then I actually like the new colors because it sets them apart from previous generations. I’m digging that green color and thinking about upgrading soon.
Well actually a LTPO 120hz screen saves more battery by going down to 1 hz

I updated to a 15 Pro Max from the 11 Pro that was truly on its last legs (I'd already replaced the battery on it at some point and it was still at like 84% capacity and the speakers were trash for some reason). I would have updated to the 14 Pro last year but I was waiting for USB-C and I'm so glad I did. Also upgraded my wife's 12 Mini to a 15 so we truly can be an all-USB-C house (except for my freakin' Magic Trackpad).
Nice to see someone updating from a phone that actually needed it.
Too many people uselessly updating and then complaining that it doesn’t feel different.
@@DipsyMum29 ha yeah I mean if you can afford to do it every year sure go for it, but it *is* weird to complain it’s not massively different from the previous model. Before the 11 Pro i had a 6S, so I usually am on a 3-4 year cycle. It honestly makes getting the new phone feel like such a massive upgrade.
I am just getting ready to leave my iPhone X for Iphone 14 pro / 15 / 15 pro but I don't know yet which one to choose. Do you have any suggestions ? I know that the change itself will be big for me
@@dunku4946 judging from the drop tests I’d get a 15 plus over a 15 pro max.
The pro max seems to the having heating issues and can the back glass breaks from the slightest bend (so no back pocket).
The plus also has 2 hours more battery than the pro max ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
That said the pro max is really all about the 5 zoom in the camera.
@@dunku4946 i think in terms of performance you will be really happy with the 14 Pro and save money BUT i personally waited for the 15 series to make the switch to USB-C. I love being able to charge most devices in my life with the same cable now and can do away with all my lightning cables (except the one for my Magic Trackpad).
I'm gonna get the green iPhone 15 with 256GB. I would get the 15 Plus for the great battery life but can't deal with the overwhelming size.

Mark, you are right about the camera system. The iPhone 15 does perform well for that! I am surprised that you have gotten yourself a pastel green iPhone. Thought you might get the black version 😂.
Cropping a 48 mp sensor 2x to 12 mp is an ingenious way to zoom without an additional lense . Cool !

I don't think upgrading year over year is a reasonable choice anymore. Someone coming from the 13 or 14 can wait next year for there to be a significant upgrade. If someone using a 12 wanted to upgrade, that would be reasonable, but anything newer than that can still function perfectly well and will recieve software updats and support (and hence most of the new features) sooner or later. There's not much reason to buy.

I personally upgrade every other year to get the most out of the trade in value.
I just got a sales call from my provider in Germany, offering me the 15 Plus for 59.99€ per month with 10gb on 5G, and a trade in for my Product Red 14 Plus of 470€! I mean, c‘mon, who wouldn’t go for that. I have been for years with my provider, in the family in total four contracts, 2 iPhones and 2 iPads Air M1, V-DSL with Deutsche Telekom though. I work 100% remote from home, so I don’t a huge data plan. I barely use 50% of the 10GB mobile data. The 15 Plus in blue arrives this Monday.
I really do not need all the bits‘n bobs of the Pro/ProMax models. But I need iOS and a big screen.

I keep hearing about these slow transfer speeds. I don’t think I’ve transferred anything via cable in at least 7-8 years. is this a common thing people do? I just use the cloud, Google Photos, OneDrive, etc..
It is flexing. Unless you are a photographer or content creator that need to transfer big data files among devices, there is no need to have it. But it is nice to have. But hey, this is Apple! 🤣
One amazing use is, to USA an USB-C 3.0 to HDMi adapter, and hook up the iPhone 15 Pro to a monitor, with keyboard and mouse connected via Bluetooth, you can type long texts, or edit videos/photos without a Mac. That is quite nifty!

I’ve been using a 13 Pro since its release and I was looking forward for the 15. I found Apple’s event a bit dissapointing regarding the new iPhones and the fact that this one is still really similar to the 12 in appearence made me not pre-order it. I see now though that the camera’s improvements have been quite significant, which makes me indecisive between buying this or waiting for the 16 series.

I'm still using the normal iPhone 13 and I still feel like there are no real significant differences. Since I use my cameras for most photo taking, I'm just waiting for them to update the front facing selfie camera.
To me personally, there are no big differences with the cameras when taking photos in room light or low light. There are differences but it so slight that it doesn't matter that much.
Man, I bought the iPhone 15 last week, but I’m still using my iPhone 11. The 15 looks and feels really great, but I’m not getting the same “upgrade feeling" like when I changed my old iPhone 7 for the 11. iPhone 15 is great, but I think I should have waited one more year.
Anyway, I think you can keep your phone until next year, or even iPhone 17.
I was looking to do the same. The want too much money and trade in is not even worth it. Plus the new design with the more rounded edges may make it feel a tine bit better but also makes the glass brake easier. Why spend that money, you can get a laptop for the price of the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Plus with inflation and how everything is, companies just sucking up money and not even trying to impress people with new design.

I had the blue (love the muted colors) 15 for a day, and decided I had to have the Plus version I'm used to. Great phone overall though. I returned the FineWoven case also. Will go with a silicone with the Plus. Do you prefer regular or Plus sized phones?
I prefer the size of the smaller phones but the battery of the bigger ones haha

You should do a video comparing the 15 to the 15 pro. I'm very torn between the two. The overheating on the pro and the titanium potentially not aging very well if you don't use a case is pushing me towards the 15.

Hey, i was exactly the same too. Ordered on line and cancelled several times because i kept changing my mind. Coming from a 13 mini I was definitely wanting plus or max so eventually settled on 15 plus with 256gb, even that storage is not necessary but I always feel better with extra space. Wanted 120hz because my I pad M1 has it but then realised i don’t need it nor do I need high end cameras. So given the reviews it seems the 15 is winning and if I’m correct the plus is actually a better version of 14 pro. Remember you have 14 days to return. Good luck cheers from London.
There have even been reports of the bbase 15 overheating when recording 4k video so I think I'm just going to wait a few weeks and see how apple respond. If they do a software fix I would consider getting the pro, but if the software doesn't address the issue I think the base 15 is a safer option longer term.@@KeRooy

How would you say that the iPhone 15 stacks up against the iPhone 14 pro? As they are roughly the same price I am wondering which is the better buy at the moment.
The only difference I think of is screen refresh rate.

I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max
But I want the form factor of the iPhone 15 the camera and the usb C port
But for the most the form factor
My only fear is that the 60 hz will annoy me the whole time
But I don’t know if I should get it because of 60 hz had the 14 couldn’t do it so long but I always nick picked about it.
I have yet to drain the 15 Plus. I’ve gotten 13 hours SoT and still had 25% battery left.
The lines at 1:49 are from pwm flicker on display.
Currently using the 13PM but unfortunately the battery life was down to 82% just within 2 years so was thinking of wether I should upgrade to a new iphone. 15 PLUS is really appealing but the 60Hz though...Do you think it's worth upgrading or i should just change the battery and wait for another 2 years?

one thing coming from a iphone 11 the iphone 15 is the iphone 14 pro only thats its brighter and has better battery but doesnt have the always on display. but the iphone 15 last me the almost all day it feel small but really comfortable in my hands especially for pinky support .... this is probably the best basic model iphone apple had in a while for me. u get the benefits of the iphone 14 pro like the iphone 16 and iphones beyond probably will get the action button on the basic model at some point. the only thing i hate is the dynamic island pill is just in the middle of video other than that get it fuck it

1. You can easily just seach YT unboxing and get your answer.
2. 128GB is enough for light users.
3. Color is subjective, its up to you. You can even get the pink, i mean who cares? Buy the one you like, its your money.

Ported from the 13 PM to 15 Plus, really not bothered by the 120hz to 60hz switch, the phone is super light and blazingly fast.

I still got a one plus 6 from over 4 years ago and I might need to replace it soon. I like the new iphone, but considering the battery life and charging speed + only 60hz I might go with android again. Never used an iphone though, is the OS better than stock android?

My iPhone 13 is great and I see no reason to upgrade this year.. The color options for the 15 are really quite underwhelming.

I love iPhone and been using 12 pro since the it was released but there’s always something that makes me hate bout iOS, like limited call log, only one web browser, bad low light photography compared to android’s that costs same as iPhone, no having properly file management system, bad notifications management, and apple not allowing 3rd apps to download/unload files in the background (try uploading videos/photos to g-drive, sucks)

Black 15 this go around. So good! I think if you are not a movie maker or a photographer then there is no need for the pro. Overkill and heavy. I don’t need pro motion to scroll instagram and til tok lol

Question. What would you recommend getting. The 14 pro or the 15 plus?
That is not an easy choice. The 15 plus has a better battery life, also fits well in the hand, larger screen, better photos. I think the video camera is slightly better than the pro and the pro has a 120hz refresh rate. 15 plus is pretty good, also has the dynamic island. Definitely worth considering, but you will have to make the choice yourself. Should I have to choose if I had no other choice? I personally would go for the plus 15. And if you have plenty of money, why not the 15 max?
My last iPhone was the iPhone 7, since then I have been buying Android devices.
@@FlubFlubber 14 pro, it’s not even close. For $100 more, you get 120 hz refresh rate, always on display, three camera lens, stainless steel, and the same chip as the base 15 models. If the 15 Plus cost like $700 or $750, I’d say get that instead, but for $900? Absolutely not

Just wanted to note that while the regular 15 lineup inherited a 48 megapixel camera from the 14 Pro of yesteryear, it's not the exact same sensor.
The iPhone 15 has a faster aperture, but has a smaller sensor compared to the 14 Pro. Additionally, the 2x zoom isn't necessarily "digital" or lossy, per-se. It's a loss-less 2x zoom wherein the middle portion of the image sensor is being used, so it's a 100% lossless zoom.
