I became a Christian and single mother of 2 little ones and an older child around about the same time ..... I cried out to Jesus daily so I could make it through , it seemed hard at times , but I just kept Praising Him through my storms so to speak .And I held on tight to the fact that He was never ever going to leave me or forsake and my kids ❤ hope this helps .

Something quite wonderful, almost mysterious, mystical ❤about John- he wants you and I to KNOW Jesus the way he did. Later in one of the little John books still in the New Testament he says about his intimate knowledge of Jesus “that which we held with/in our hands…. “ All my life he has fascinated me that way, no man spake like he did. Up to now I am so cross with myself for missing the opportunity to go to Patmos Island when I was stuck in Istanbul during the volcanic ash that stopped all flights and I was stuck in Istanbul for two weeks. I could have taken the boat to visit, but hey-ho, you get some, miss some…. The artists have tried to paint the life of Jesus in pictures, like the last supper, the the disciple leaning on Jesus’s breast, the crucifixion, in Joseph of Arimathea’s tomb, etc, maybe some are close but am not sure

It is a shame I have this illness I have been asking for prayers for- I don’t know what plans God has for me. Reminds me of many years ago when I went to Robben Island where the South African government used to throw unwanted prisoners, and I had the fortune of visiting Nelson Mandela’s cell when he was incarcerated there. He was no disciple of Jesus but you could imagine him stuck in that rocky outpost for 18 years, seeing the beautiful city of Cape Town within a stone’s throw away, but not even getting there, surrounded by all kinds of sharks, whales, sea snakes, just to show the determination and cruelty of some earthly governments to crush their own citizens spirits . Just a crying shame what has been happening in SA but we are told to still take the gospel there, and places like that. As a follower of yours, I was so glad when you spent sometime there- again work commitments meant I couldn’t fly over and be there with you, but we thank God for this gift of technology.

"The Word was with God" and "The Word was God", help me understand how they are applying the concept of definite article '"THE", if i read the scripture, i see the term "Word" as the only term (noun) coming after that definite article and not God. The Holy Trio, the Three Heavenly Worthies, the Heavenly Dignitaries, etc. It is so unfortunate that the Catholic term Trinity was adopted by SDA. It has caused great confusion. That should be corrected. NOT the concept of Three Divine Persons; hat is correct but the Trinity term which describes the Roman Catholic Concept causes confusion among us.

Pastor Finley forgets the scripture that says God is love. Not that he should love someone else but he is love. If he is love he can exist before beginning a son. Trinitarians let peer pressure dictate their understanding of important doctrine.

The point is that though Jesus is God, He's not the father but the second person of the Godhead- the son. It just confirms Jesus' divinity.
