@gatzu8599 people who get saved are changed people. They usually start to turn away from sin and move towards holiness. there must be brokenness over sin atleast. If not you're probably not saved but deceived!

People can’t stand that we can REST IN JESUS ALONE. This is the Gospel people. You are resting in what Jesus accomplished, not you.
Yet most people don't do that. Jesus taught that if people are ashamed of Him they are not worthy of Him. How can someone who refuses to deny them self be trusting in the atoning sacrifice of Jesus, for Jesus taught very clearly that they not worthy of Him.

This one is big to me because of my own salvation path. When I finally acknowledged Him as Lord and Saviour over my eternal state I know He saved me. Living as a christian for almost 2 decades didn't save me. It wasn't until I placed my faith in Him, and not myself, that I was able to trust Him for salvation. Nothing about that was easy. It would have been easier to simply look at the actions of my life and say that I have fruit and therefore must be saved. God looks on the heart and mine was trusting in the wrong things. My salvation had nothing to do with me, because if it did, I would still be as lost as I ever was. He paid for it fully, and it took way to long for me to figure that out. Awesome video. Keep it up.
“Easy believism” *is* the narrow path. Most people are trying to work for their salvation. Works salvation is the wide road that leads to destruction.
I like this! The reason why the path is narrow and difficult I think sometimes it’s because we make it more difficult than what it needs to be.

But I’ve always been curious as to why those verses never say how long or short road is… Only how narrow the road is towards eternal life. Like… if more people find the road or we help them find the road… then all of us lining up one by one behind each other, waiting to get to the gate with only make the line longer. Thoughts?

"If you're actually saved you will have good works and continually have good works or you never believed. No fruit, no salvation . thanks again brother.
Whenever I hear people say “saving faith,” I tell them faith doesn’t save us. God’s grace saves us through faith in Jesus.
Our faith doesn’t have any special power.

@@jedimasterham2 Yep. Followers of Calvinistic Theology tend to use the term "saving faith" a lot, probably because of their view on the unscriptural idea of "Regeneration Precedes Faith".
That's a contradictory statement. If you don't have faith His grace doesn't save you...
There is such a thing as vain faith. Believing in vain. Confessing with the mouth but the heart is far from Him.

Anyone who adds works to the gospel in any way, to quote Scripture "tramples the Son of God underfoot" (Heb 10:29) because they make the finished work of Christ simply into a stepping stone, like the first step of a stair that you move on from, where it becomes just a "common thing" instead of the perfect offering once and for all.

All they had to do was look and believe in its cleansing power, and it was so.
All obedience to the Lord is a form of works.
Faith is trusting in Him, this is what the Father requires from the sinner. We are to be paid for our works just as Jesus taught. But the gift of eternal life is from God and not of our works.
I am amazed that pastors and teachers can still get confused over this? I obey and do works out of my love and desire to serve my Lord. But in no way am I where I need to be or even want to be as His servant. If I had to believe in a certain level of obedience to be assured of my salvation I along with every other Christian would never have any assurance!
Keep the faith in our Lord and serve out of love!

“we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”
Obedience is what makes our faith ALIVE for as james says “as the body without the soul is dead so faith without works is dead”
No one is saved by just believing in Christ, demons also believe in Christ, are they saved?
@rlg6728 if that were true you would think Paul would tell the jailer who asked what must we do to be saved, believe in the Lord Jesus AND be completely obedient to Him or you'll lose that salvation. The chastening of the Lord that keeps us sealed with the Spirit of promise and prevents us from being condemned with the world is the destruction of the flesh. 1 corinthians 3:13-17, 5:1-5, 11:30-32 kjv. Thanks brother. If salvation was based on what the proponents of Lordship salvation say is required. No one would be saved. They place a yoke on the necks of those that hear them, that they themselves cannot bear.
Huh? If living righteous feels like works to you, then you need to get saved! When you are born again you are given new desires, and it is natural to live righteous. Of course we can't bear it in our own strength, but we don't have to because we have the Holy Spirit. So what sin can't we overcome through the strength of the lord?

I trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ. I believe in his blood that covers my sins. I hate my sins, but I trust that I am forgiven because of what Jesus Christ did for me, not because of what I do. Knowing that I will sin doesn't give me an excuse to sin. It isn't a free pass. But my faith and trust remains in Jesus' blood. It's all in his blood in fact. Had he not shed his perfect blood, nobody could be saved.

Yes sir, many people are confused about their salvation, and why? Because their desire is for salvation and not the Saviour. There would be no confusion whatsoever if one’s desire and love is for the Saviour.

Those works truster's who are really trusting in themselves by their ongoing outward fruit bearing, obedience so-called, are NOT solely trusting in the BLOOD ATONEMENT for salvation.
Where is the blood atonement in their proclamation and requirement for salvation?
Either Jesus Christ alone through his blood atonement alone being shed on Calvary's cross and his resurrection on the 3rd day is enough for salvation; or we are all still in our sins without remedy for our sins and utterly hopeless.
Biblical Salvation is in the person of Jesus Christ alone.
He alone PAID for ALL sin.
He said..."It IS FINISHED!" right before He gave up the ghost on Calvary's Cross.
The sin debt has been paid in full! Nothing else needs to be nor can be added to this.
Eh.. Not good enough, says these modern day Pharisees, Judiazers who say that true salvation only comes from obeying the law of God through outward fruit bearing and constant obedience (works) to really be saved.
These people reject the blood atonement ALONE as the only payment for sin.
They profess Christ, but in works deny Him.
They are ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their OWN righteousness, and have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
These folks are no different from any other religion in the world. They proclaim that one must DO and continue to DO in order to be saved.
Jesus said himself in essence, It is DONE! FINISHED! Debt PAID IN FULL!
Trust in Jesus Christ alone according to the scriptures; not in yourself nor even your trusting, but solely on Jesus Christ alone for salvation.
Now that's the truth, unfortunately numerous professing Christians including myself for 3 decades believed works come first unfortunately many are deceived because 3 decades i lived in anxiety and depression because i had it backwards which does not please God, believing Jesus Christ 100% alone for salvation pleases God not works.
Trusting in Jesus alone for salvation (Eternal) IS the Narrow path. Doing and thinking you have to do good works and or keep the law to be saved (Eternal) IS the Wide path.

First off I totally think every word you’ve said is 100% on point and totally correct. And also were able to articulate it all in an accurate way that defines terms and also distinguishes the correct way to interpret believe and salvation and believing and discipleship.
But I’ve got one genuine question I’ve never heard someone give a stable answer to. And maybe this could be the talking point of another video but in revelations where Jesus speaks of spitting some out of his mouth. Yeah but dont confuse that for your changing is what saves you. We all deserve hell for our sins, even if you lived an absolutely perfect life from now until death it wouldnt be good enough. Trust in Christ my friend.

I struggle so hard with this, I agree with pretty much everything you say, yet I am such an awful sinner. I've become calloused to my sin and do it so easily. It makes me feel like I'm not really saved because I sin so much. I wish I could just press a button and stop sinning forever. the only way to be saved is to be born of the spirit,i was raised in church i thought i was saved i trusted jesus i taught sunday school itruly believed i was a real christian then i thought i backslid went to florida from oklahoma got real wild and crazy i found myself at a crossroads in life i was hitchiking back an old guy gave me a gospel tract and that night on i-35 i prayed a broken contrite heart felt prayer the holy spirit came down on me and i had a white light experience i was filled with the holy spirit and god radicaly changed my heart he gave me a hunger for his word and a desire for lost souls after that i have led many men to the lord i have also struggled more with sin than before i came under more attacks since i was born again the difference is that i hate myself when i sin i hate the sin that i do and i was missunderstood by the church i was raised in god began to give me revelation of his word and brought me out of the arminian denominations into reformed theology during that transition time i was misstreated by the so called church and i tried to go back out into the world but god would not let me instead he chastened me and he used me as a soul winner even when i went to prison god has never left me or forsaken me even when i lived a very sinful lifestyle i have been sober for 17 years and i am still a soul winner but i have to tell the truth i led more people to the lord during the time i was drinking and druging than i have since i have been clean god is sovereign

JM has so many followers because he’s the Spurgeon of our time. I’ve watched or listened to his sermons for decades and he is as sound as they come. This video is not a good representation of what JM preaches. JM is firm that salvation is by faith… period. But it’s also true that faith without works is dead, and let’s not pretend we don’t know what that means. “You will know them by their fruits “..

The Lordship Salvation proponent will rarely bring up verses like these to illustrate their point, despite it being directly from the mouth of the Lord. Rather than rightly dividing the word of truth they want to glorify the flesh by doing something.

As in Jesus's day the pharisees, the religious leaders, made "new converts" twice the sons of hell and they do not enter God's kingdom either. Like so many nowadays in church pastors and elders tell people that they need to do works to be saved and receive eternal life. A burden after burden that we cannot carry, but Jesus's yoke is easy and burden is light as He said in Matthew. And by faith alone in what Jesus did for us on the Cross is how we receive eternal life and forgiveness of all sins.
Well, MacArthur is Calvinistic in his beliefs, specifically the belief of "Regeneration Precedes Faith" (which is not in Scripture).
So in his mind, "saving faith" means faith an individual can only exercise AFTER the Holy Spirit has Regenerated them.
Which, if followers of Calvinistic Theology stopped to really think about it for a minute, would have to mean that an individual must *first be saved* BEFORE they can exercise faith in Christ, which is so against Scripture, it hurts.
(That worldview ALSO would have to mean that salvation lies in something OUTSIDE of through faith in Christ.)

Regeneration before faith is ridiculous, however, the Father predestined us before the foundation of the world unto the adoption of children by Christ Jesus. MOSTLY Biblically correct. The one statement of "predestined us before the foundation of the world unto the adoption of children by Christ Jesus" means that GENTILES were also that way and not just the nation of Israel. The reply makes sense, though, but since it's a public setting, who knows who sees what? 🙏
(Lest anyone forget that everything, including all of the Laws in the Old Testament point to the message of the cross in the New Testament. When Jesus fulfilled all 613 rules of the book of the Law, He rendered them obsolete (Hebrews 8:6, Hebrews 8:13). That includes the Ten Commandments brought down from Mount Sinai by Moses (2 Corinthians 3:7-8) as well as everything mentioned by the O.T. prophets (Matthew 5:17-20, Hebrews 1:1-2 -- He didn’t ABOLISH any of it but rather FULFILLED all of it. That “Mosaic Law” stuff is all but a type and shadow of what Christianity is all about through Jesus.)
Apart from the Law, sin is dead (Romans 5:12-21, Romans 7:7-12, Romans 10:1-5). Christ is the end of the Law (Romans 10:4-5). Gentiles never even had the Law in the first place, hence that “secret plan” of God the Father to predestine them to salvation - John 12:32.). If you’re in Jesus, He changes what you want which is why in Ezekiel 36:26 one who is born again (or “born from above” - or “born anew” - John 3:3-6 - biblehub.com/greek/509.htm) has the stony heart removed and replaced with one that wants to honor the Holy Spirit.

Any jesus whose blood didn't atone for all the sins of the world for anyone who has ever or will ever live is NOT the Jesus of The Bible.
Any god who arbitrarily selects and predestines certain people to burn in hell forever without ever having a chance to be saved is not The God of The Bible.
And any gospel that teaches that a person doesn't have to believe The Gospel to be saved is not the One True Gospel of Grace taught in the Bible which is CONDITIONAL on individual faith in the finished redemptive work on The Cross ALONE of Jesus Christ ALONE.
And to be IMMEDIATELY, PERMANENTLY & ETERNALLY saved, one MUST BELIEVE in the Jesus OF THE BIBLE and His finished redemptive work on The Cross ALONE (i.e., His substitutionary death, burial and ressurection which is THE GOSPEL)! (Ephesians 1:13-14, 2:8-9, 4:30, 1st Corinthians 15-1-4)
