It's crazy how you can so easily connect with the puppets even when the puppeteers are clearly visible.
I view them as living entities who just so happen to have a hand up their bum.
That's the Magic of the Muppets. ❤
45 years to make an album. I can't stop watching the Puppeteers. Amazing job.
There mouth s move
This interview alone had more jokes and funnier improv than Muppets Now entirely. That aside, can’t wait to totally legally watch The Muppets: Mayhem.
Nah, muppets now had swedish chef, enough said
@@Ashwgun sadly he could not save the show. But he did his best.
Now a Swedish Chef series on the other hand, hoo boy; that would be amazing!
@@lPsychoMax a Swedish Chef series would do great, all it takes is Disney actually promoting it and boom! instant success
The chef is better in small doses tbh.
these puppeteers are amazing
Celebrate Muppets 70th anniversary celebrations in 2025!💚💚💚💚💚💚Muppets includes all around the world like Australia, Canada, Japan & much much more!🌎🌎🌎🌎🌎🌎
Animal is my favorite drummer. You know you made it as a drummer, when you go against Animal in a drum off.
Harry Belafonte, Buddy Rich and Dave Grohl are just some of the celebrities who have faced Animal in a drum battle.
@@tysargent9647 Yea, and lived!
Nice to see the puppeteers recognized
Can’t wait for this. We need more Muppets in the world these days.

The Muppets clearly have access to Time Lord tech. Specifically a Perception Filter.
Because I KNOW there are men laying on the stage, but I can't make myself look at them. I can only look at the puppets, as if my brain just doesn't want to know the humans are down there.
I want to appreciate the dedication to their craft. And wonder how long any of you could sit in that position with their arm in the air and not have a body part fall asleep?
...Agreed
I'd like to assume they would normally have a rig like Big Bird's suit but a smaller version built for comfort working in a television show...
I was trained by Matt Vogel and Peter Linz. Believe me, those guys have incredible arm strength!
I am so ready for this. Need more Janice... and there are some gems with timing and delivery that are just passing over the audience 😆
Many of you are wondering where Dr Teeth is..well he's actually doing another round of in patient rehab, not because he had a relapse he just wants to be his absolute best when promoting the show and touring with the band
4:58...Kinda ties into this one question I'm dying to ask any past or present Muppeteer: "Have you ever found yourself having a whole back-and-forth conversation with any of your Muppet characters?"
I'm friends with a muppeteer and I can confirm yes. I've seen it first hand, and it's the best thing ever.
Electric Mayhem gets to do a side project, it’s great to see them again 😂
That's me as Kermit at the end of the video! Don't suppose you caught the moment just before 15:00 where Flloyd said my name, gutted i missed getting that on video.
Sorry we missed it. You looked great.
We do have a photo of you. That may be when he said it. Message us at info@attractionsmagazine.com and we'll send it to you.
I have never seen a muppets interview like this before.
Me either that's why it makes this so hilarious
jim henson used to do it a lot! look up him doing kermit on johnny carson
So awesome! I love Janice and her outfit is super cute! Floyd Pepper and Animal too?! Oh that would have been so awesome to have been there! Also Animal's comment of No Pig! :D Best comment. I love the Electric Mayhem! :)
We need a world tour like we never needed it before.
The Show is cool. Muppets are Timeless. Animal is the best... Make Noise 😂
you my friends rock! Even! you Taj! just so awesome and funny. Love you all
I love the Muppets
I recently saw a video that Floyd did and it was incredible and not just puppet cover incredible
Just imagine going to the bathroom and Animal is laying on the sink
I didn't know that we see the puppeteers of them for the first time 😁
This isn’t the first time you get to see the Muppet Performers lol
@@tyleriguana oo
@@emilyschulz907 Yeah! The Muppets have done many live performances and even interviews where you get to see the performers. A lot of the Muppet Performers are even recognizable in the puppetry community.
There's a special kind of magic when you see The Muppets in person 😁😁😁
Kinda wish Dr Teeth was there with them too....
And Zoot
I knew something was missing!
Aw, Eric is having way too much fun, here!
He must be, he's taken on all five of Frank Oz's major Muppet Show characters (Animal, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Sam Eagle, and Marvin Suggs), plus Bert, Grover (also Frank Oz characters), Oscar the Grouch (originally played by Caroll Spinney) and Guy Smiley (a Jim Henson character) on Sesame Street.
Omg love Animal ❤❤
Me too it was so hilarious at 8:19 where he wanted to play tag
Where's Dr. Teeth???
That looks like such an uncomfortable position. They’re necks is always sideways, back always slouched. I like the iPad tho. Thanks for recording!
They must have great arm and core strength tho
Dave actually has a great little story about that. The first time he ever got fitted for a suit and tuxedo, the guy who made and fitted the suit was absolutely baffled by his build, and had to come in for extra fittings because he was quite literally, lopsided.
His right arm (the one that holds up the puppet) is super powerful and over developed, and his right shoulder is actually like an inch or so taller than his left.
@@megelizabeth9492 Yep, the Muppet performers have notoriously bad posture.
Like, this stuff really messes with your body. I'm pretty sure Dave has had multiple shoulder, hip and back surgeries at this point, and despite it all, is still such a total pro. (Apparently, one of the first things Frank Oz taught him when he was first learning to puppeteer, is that you just can't think about how absolutely exhausting and downright painful it can be.)
Also, the Ipad is a makeshift monitor I think, so they can actually see what they are doing.
@@megelizabeth9492 oh wow. I thought it was for a script
Unexpected but SICK
I saw the trailer for the show and I can't wait to see animal back in action
I love you more Janice, you mean the world to me!!
Wait a second, is that TAHJ MOWERY??!! Wow, almost didn't recognize him!
I love Floyd so much. I can’t even stop looking at him LOL. He reminds me of a little bit of George from the SGT. Pepper álbum of the Beatles.
This was cool
totally LOVE Animal on his drums ~!~! ANIMAL for president of those Delusional states!
Tahj is lucky
Animal is my fav Muppet
How do they not have elbow rests attached to those 'chairs'?
It isn’t about the elbow. It is support for their back shoulder.
Awesomeness job
Anamle is my favorite mupit
The Muppets Universal Studios Singapore
I had to pull the window way down to cover the people after a minute, lol. I can only have the "magic" ruined for so long!
Lol seeing the performers isn’t a way to “ruin the magic.” The magic is how these characters come to life. That is the art of puppetry and a part of Jim Henson’s vision.
The performers ARE THE CHARACTERS. Real Muppet fans know this!
Didn't ruin the magic for me
@@andyreacts Me neither. The performers sort of disappeared after a minute.
then you should see the old interviews with Jim and Kermit
Bruhhhh, I freakin ❤ Janice
Tahj Mowry, The MC ❤
I need a Nandi Bushell and Animal team up
I think it was a great idea
Every single day redey 😊🎉
Animal needed to mark his territory
When will is start streaming on Disney+?
On May 10th
Why did animal leave half way
Will this be connected to the other 2 muppet films?
It's more like a really big Behind The Music type documentary on the Electric Mayhem, presented in 10 episodes
Release date?
2023

Matt does Floyd great but his Kermit could be better.
Wonder if their arms get tired?
that's why they had to put their arms down in the middle of it!

I know someone who is terrified of Janice
Why the men got the hands up there bottoms
I can’t say I’m not excited about an upcoming Muppet project, but the voices aren’t even close to what they should be
Well it's a phone recording and live so I'm sure it's not peak audio for them
@@whofactchecksthefactcheckers the voices can be heard well enough to tell the problem is not about the device’s recording but more so the recreation of the voice
Performers train their successors, and they're largely picked for how well they can retain the soul and mannerisms of the character. Of course the voices aren't going to be 100% identical to the original performers, but that comes second to overall skill at character acting and puppeteering; Frank Oz has mentioned this from time to time
I always thought that Janice was voiced by a chick!
There arms have to be hurting...and more buff.
Floyd pepper 🌶️ 🎸and Janice🎸 dude 😎 we'll be with janzo🎸 and monzo🎸 and made the mouse 🐁 🎺🎉🫂🧬 Animal 🥁⭐✨🥳🎆🌄 talk about the albums 😊
Why are the puppeteers ducking out of view, Henson and Oz and Clash appeared on shows alongside the puppets and made no qualms about it. What are you up to Disney?
This is progress actually. It used to be that you never saw the puppeteers at all.
@@megelizabeth9492 Agree, and Eric Jacobson does pretty much jump up into View halfway through.
He literally runs out into the audience, and is just hanging out there with animal for a bit.
I'm looking forward to this, but I don't think it will be a big success sadly!
Even watching this interview I found myself wanting to see the inclusion of Kermit, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Fozzie, etc...
The band just isn't quite enough to pull the entire weight of the franchise to the average viewer unfortunately...
Disagreed. Kermit/Fozzie/Piggy/Gonzo get plenty of airtime and they're always the ones who are brought onboard whenever Muppet presence is needed somewhere (talk shows, interviews, surprise appearances, hosts, promotions, etc). They were at this same convention promoting the restored re-release of A Muppet Christmas Carol too.
If the wider-but-still-well-known cast (like the band) is always left out/pushed into the background, then it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy where they never get any recognition because they were never given any in the past. They have to start somewhere, and they're pretty popular already (especially Animal, who would be enough to get casual people interested). Not to mention that The Muppet Show always had sketches with random nameless monsters doing spontaneous stuff, so it's not even as though they're going for fully obscure characters like that.
This could be a good step away from Disney forcing their Disney-fying on the Muppets brand where they just reduce a franchise to like 3-4 characters and one song - they seem to forget that this is a musical franchise and has more songs than Rainbow Connection for instance. I'm sure there will be cameos but the Mayhem are a motley crew, they should do fine as long as the performers aren't micromanaged to death.
@@fishdude2954 I wish that was realistic...sadly it's just not though.
This franchise is called THE MUPPETS, not ELECTRIC MAYHEM BAND unfortunately.
The band are a huge part of the past successes of The Muppets cuz they ARE Muppets themselves!
Take them away from their counterparts and it just won't meld like it always has.
The personas that each classic character exhudes works so well because they depend on working with each other to create a blend.
I still don't know why Disney insists on doing new things for The Muppets...
It has not spelled much success for them.
Why can't they just do a new Muppet Show and copy the way the original show was in it's beginnings--
Creative, inventive puppetry (no CGI), relevant guest stars, a stage, a backstage, a show, and some songs?
How has Taj Mowry been reduced to this
Yeah I used to think he was a smart guy
Reduced to what? I'm not familiar with him, is he usually better at keeping up with people he interviews or something?
Otherwise I don't see a problem. Performing with/interviewing Muppets is an honor, not an insult
@@fishdude2954 He was an actor for many many years. Starting when he was real young 6 or 7 then continuing to act into adult roles. Very talented so seeing him do this is a waste of talent.
you don't show the puppeteers, at this point I've just lost all interest in muppets. I'm done, No more muppets. You betrayed us disney.
Can't believe they have a guy voicing Janice. That's so transphobic, and misogynistic 😉
And Camilla the Chicken too. Don’t forget Camilla. And Fozzie’s mother.
It's not uncommon for guys to do voices a female characters. Especially since there are some ladies that do voices for Guy characters
