This video shows you the complete instructions on How to conduct remote proctored examination using the Safe Exam browser integrated with MOODLE.
SEB is a browser that sits above all applications and it never lets the user turn on any other applications or open any other apps when they are writing the examination. But we can let them use only the Zoom or Google Meet or MS Teams to get opened.
The complete instructions are given in this video.

what if the student only has linux os?
+1, I exclusively run Linux on my computer, what should I do?
Since there are multiple distros in linux, SEB does not have an option for Linux OS. I being a rigoros Linux User felt very bad when I understand there was no option for linux. But this tutorial helps in conducting the exam either in campus or BYOD devices provided they can have either WinOS or Mac OS or iOS. When I configured this exam for all final sem students of around 1300, 28 students had an issue like they have only Linux or other issues. We conducted a separate exam for those in a later date...

can you as a teacher see the student screen or capture a screen shot of their screen when they are doing the exams

There is no allow camera access and audio capture in configuration tool. If I open google meet it says browser denies permission for camera and mic

Move the hidden zoom folder to a visible location like desktop or downloads

There will be a section called permitted process and prohibited process.
Remove Zoom.exe from the prohibited process
@@akashshanmugaraj4150 Same issue for me. I already deleted zoom.exe in prohibited process. But still not working. When i click the zoom icon, it will open then close itself. Any suggestion for me?
