You are truly amazing Michelle. You are not possessive over any of your content or resources. Everything that you do and create as a teacher, you share with us. You literally showed us all how to film and edit videos- something that you do as a hobby and job- so we can do it ourselves. You show us how to create slides and activities that you do for our students- and ask for nothing in return. It just shows that you put all students first, not just your own, and that all teachers should support each other. Thank you so much ❤️
You are amazing! I’ve taught elementary for over 30 years, and in June began binge watching your channel 💗 I feel like I’ve taken a master class this summer and can’t thank you enough for these great lessons!!! I love your knowledge, professionalism, and happy, positive personality... you make me proud of our profession 🥰
You amaze me. I retired from teaching (elementary level) a few years ago, and went right into teaching education classes at the college level. I've watched several of your videos, and they not only help me, but I will be sending my students your way as well. Thanks for putting out such valuable content, Michelle! Keep up the great work!
I came across your video whilst searching for an educational vlog for my assignment. sat down for 4hours to learn how to do this and I created mine whilst listening to your instructions. This is really helpful and now I have a new skills in editing both educational and lifestyle. thank you so much.
I’m a middle school and high school teacher in Spain. I love watching your videos and personality. In the couple months I’ve been following you I’ve learned so much. Thanks for everything!
Thank you for all your amazing videos! I’ve been teaching for 23 years. I’ve learned so many online teaching tips from you since March 2020. You are very creative and motivating!
Just finished my first video about submitting files to google classroom. Why was this so easy? Oh yeah, she is a great teacher. Just trying to keep moving forward. Thanks Michelle!!
Thank you!! Another shortcut to splice a clip is to click where you want it to start and then hit i and then move cursor where you want to end and hit o. Then you can delete or move that clip. Does the same thing you showed, just another option. Have a great school year everyone.
I LOVE your videos so much! I was feeling so nervous this summer about the new year and after watching almost all your videos about using technology while teaching, I feel so much more confident. Your videos are so concise, clear and positive. You have helped me so much! You are such an asset to the teaching world. :D Thank you
Thank you, Michelle! My tech savvy daughter was filming, editing and exporting all my videos for me last spring during our family shelter at home time. I was so thrilled for so many reasons to have her here. Alas, she has so patiently tried to show me what you have so beautifully demonstrated in your video. Now I have a recording I can watch over and over. I can't thank you enough. Now that my daughter has returned to where she normally lives, she'll be relieved I have some back up!
Wow! I’m so excited to see this video! I haven’t even finished watching it but I had to comment! The editing is the most timeous part for me. You are a huge motivation to me!
Thanks so much! I've just been playing around with iMovie recently (Mac user of 1.5yrs) and all your little tips with picture-in-picture, cut away, adjusting audio, fading in/out, etc. will surely help me in my future video editing. Cheers!
I have learned a lot from your videos over the past two years. I make videos for my online classes in college (English). I just wanted to mention to your current viewers of this video that another outstanding video editing program is DaVinci Resolve; it's available completely for free and rivals the functionality of the Adobe products, but it's free. I am not affiliated with this program or anything like that. It just seems that so many people still don't know about Resolve. I learned to edit using iMovie and switched to Resolve a few months ago. It's a wonderful program with full professional functionality!
Thank you for making quality, helpful, and free series on how to proficiently use digital resources for our remote teaching classrooms. Between your Google Classroom tutorials and these filming/editing videos I’ve learned so much! Thank you!
Thank you so much for making this video!! This has helped me so much prepare for my classroom in case we close in the fall. This has given me a lot more confidence! I hope you have a great year! Prayers for a safe and fun year!
This is the video I never knew I needed!! Thank you!! I have been using Screencastify and Zoom to record my videos, but I don’t know how to edit. This just SAVED my life!!
Michelle, thank you! I just made my first teaching video edited with iMovie. Your videos have been life saving over the past few months. I just shared this video with coworkers. You are amazing!
wonderful video Michelle...I appreciate everything that you do...thank you so much for sharing this with us..by far the best step by step video I have seen and I have watched a lot!
Thanks, Michelle! You killed it. I used iMovie in the past and found it really user friendly, but like learning a language you have to use it or you lose it. I’ll go back and play with it. Have a great week!
Michelle, this was a super useful video. I really appreciate your brisk pace and lack of filler chatting. You get right to the point in a fun and friendly way!! I learned several terrific tips from your video which will be very helpful starting (egad!) next week! Thank you!
Thank you so, so much! This video specifically on editing is super helpful and I learned a lot. I have a PC instead but I think I am going to try editing my instructional videos for students on my iPad just so I can use the iMovie app (you make it seem very easy to use!). I appreciate that you make your high quality teaching tutorials accessible for us and produce them when you are so busy yourself.
Girl! Gggggiiiiirrrrrllll! This 👏🏻 just👏🏻 helped 👏🏻 me 👏🏻 so 👏🏻 much!👏🏻 I have successfully filmed, edited, titled, added audio and transitions, and completed my first video for our district parents 😱. This would NOT have been possible without you! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
Thank you so much for sharing these tips! I've been slightly stressed about having to record lessons. You've made the process easy to follow and very informative!
Thank you so much for this video. I’ve owned a Mac for many years and NEVER knew the purpose of iMovie. This will be very helpful since I plan recording this year for my online students.
I really appreciate your videos, it has really reduced my anxiety about this chapter in my career. Thank you for contributing to the educational community. I'm also a teacher in Maryland.
thank you so much for making this amazing easy to understand video editing tutorial. I though editing videos will be very hard and I need to be a pro to edit on my own. But it seems to be " It's better to learn just enough so that you can achieve your goals"
I am a 60 year old teacher but you are an excellent amazing teacher! I love your presentations. BTW, English is not my mother tongue, still I can listen to you almost clear though you speak fast.
Thank you for doing this video! I just did one for my Biology class. I have had several students say they learn best with visuals so this allowed me to edit my Loom video down.
This was incredibly helpful!!!! You are insanely talented and know how to talk to teachers! I've used I Movie for years and only knew the bare minimum. Thanks for all the tips. Can't wait to get started!!!
Hi Michelle, excellent presentation, I learnt a lot! Do you maybe have a training video on Purple Mash? I subscribed but could not find it anywhere... Thanks for the help!
