37 minutes of pure joy. watching 2 masters of their trade, and an added bonus of watching one of the best comedy duo's in the country. The Cheeky Boys ! ✌❤ Bob.
When you're taking the piss and trying to sabotage your mate but accidentally create the greatest rig ever 😂😊
We used to use that rig 20 years ago on moor side fishery it was called the rattler rig.
Definitely one of your more pertinent video's. Great test, Keep them coming guys. Cheers
Great video. Just two mates having a laugh whilst catching. Jamie is on another level and it's not fair.
Rat jig will be the best. When I saw the first video. I knew it would return! Great idea guys!
Brilliant humour and insight into older methods. Love it
Played with the Rattler back in the day. Found it worked best on venues stocked with new carp from 2oz -6oz such as Mallard on Brookside when that was 1st dug for match weights to 50LB. Caught on it once at Burton Mere but complaints from some anglers and it was sort of banned. You might remember, Jamie.
Awesome video and interesting challenge. Shows the quality of the methods & angling. You 2 are awesome. Tight Lines 🎣 🐟
Great video you guys. You make the best fishing videos on UA-cam. Keep up the great work. 👍
I'm getting one for my next session . Amazing method the Ratjig .😃🎣
I love andys pike bung
Common the Rat Jig wait till I rock up with this on our Local match 😂
has anyone notice at 3.42 the red float hanging from the tree in the far corner.
"CAN'T STAY DOWN WITH 3 BARRELS NOT WITH 3 BARRELS 😂😂😂
Its effectively a self-hooking bolt rig. The buoyancy and surface area of the float sets the hook. Literally the harder the fish hits the bait, the better the hook set.
Hooklength breaks may be similar issues to the method feeder. The resistance of the float when fixed may put extra pressure on the hooklength knots rather than spreading it across the whole rig.
Andy I use that rig with a method feeder under it when I’m surface fishing for big carp and I find that some of the hook holds are so far down the fishes mouth I sometimes get bitten off 🎣🎣
Bitten off by carp ?
Yes
Might wanna change the tactic if carp are swallowing your hook.
Rat jig rat jig rat jig! This better be part of the coaching at partridge!!!!
Just a thought, but could the hook length snapping perhaps be due to the very large resistance or drag created by the large, big bodied float and the huge bulk of shot beneath it be proving too much for the line?
I thought that too!
It’s a float method of semi fixed lead method feeder just using bouncy
Andy change the rat jig shot to a olivette with a float stop underneath it so you can change the depth quickly you will smash jamie up
Im going to say the Rat Jig but like every method its on the day, but certainly i think you are on to something here lol.
Rat jig for the win
Rat man wins every time 🎣
I used the rat jig at partridge with andy it was awsome i loved it go on the rat jig 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Andy need to plop it in more.
Thought of a challenge you boys could do order 2 poles and end tackle off of wish might take a year to turn up but eventually you would have a decent video who knows what will turn up 😂
Done the poles. Just not the end tackle but most of that looks barbaric 😂

U guys coming astons park fishery on monday
8 mins in and I'm saying the RatJig will win. Go on the RatJig!!
Rag jig on a pellet waggler rod? Could that work?
Looks like a bubble float to me
jamie's proper fishing works more often covering more moods of the fish..if you get what i mean
What float is it?
It's just a rattler , used to be ping pong ball 😂
Just like the rattle rig of old
Ratjig to win
ratjig should win
Used to be called ‘the rattler’ back in the day at Bradshaws etc
Bolt rig
Put paste on it
I feel sorry for the old boy opposite... he came for a quiet day's fishing then these pair rocked up
Haha I was thinking the same but I would love these 3 rocking up opposite me 😂
Try this rig on my next session thank lads 🎣
Have fun!
Go on the rat jig
RatJigger looks so wrong. But, looks so good!
How did that guy get his car around the back of Oasis.
You have to be the same to do such a test - same line same hooklengths, same bait, same depth. Andy turned his into a jigger. If these conditions are not the same the test is obsolete.
Rat jig all day baby
Can see tackle shops selling out of pike floats
😂😂😂
The jaws rig
Has J stopped using little dacrons now? Or just on his shallow kits?
Just playing about with beads on the shallow kits
Rat jig
Rattler from 20 years ago
Ratjig rig will win
Is that a Drennan pike float
I thought the Rat Jig rig was a Winning Ways p**s take, but decided to give it a go. I fished my local commercial today and caught over 120 fish, mainly F1s but also a fair sprinkling of bonus mirrors. I hardly had a missed bite or hook pull. To try and be a bit scientific I set up a conventional rig and fished at the same depth, same bait in the same spot. The results were palpable , more missed bites and hook pulls and after half an hour reverted back to the Rat Jig rig and carried on catching. It does look unconventional, but it certainly did the business today. Thanks for showing it.
This is an old rig called the rattler used as I know 20 plus yrs ago .
It was barred on Bradshaw in Bolton and its barred on my local water widows flash wigan this is in the rules just saying
sorry lads
We know, went into the history of it all in the previous video ua-cam.com/video/Cz3Rs1R9yGI/v-deo.html
@@WinningWays hi guys just trying to point out changing a name of rig that has are was banned could be trouble only my opinion.
My apologies it was just a comment
Keep up the good work that you lads do for angling .
Love the videos
It’s the Rattler crossed with a Jigger, which is where Rat-Jig came from. As with so many methods it will be allowed at some places and not at others. Just a case of being sensible and checking with fishery owners if you’re not sure. Don’t want to get anyone in trouble 👍🏻
@@WinningWays there is more than me that thinks it's a rattler look in the comment .
Normal rig all the way 🤞
