START RANT: Make no mistake, France and Iran are guilty of throwing a game. It makes no difference at what level or competition - this is not acceptable from any federation. The fact that it happened at the pinnacle celebration of our beautiful sport makes the actions even more reprehensible. FIFA needs to take action. I know they won’t because they are corrupt and broken. The fact that Miguel received any comments that made him feel unsafe is a tragedy for our sports culture. This all boils down to us squabbling over a non-existent pie again. We all need to focus on growing the sport. We are not big enough globally to eat our own. In the spirit of competition, I can understand wanting a better spot in the bracket, but losing on purpose!? In order to win, you need to be the best. So, be the best! Play the game you are dealt.
