Hey y’all have you ever used anything like that bait for crappie? I had no idea how good they work.
Not yet! LOL 😁
@@glennmize9057 I’m going to be getting some more for sure. Sure a different look than the ole crappie jig.
I wear the jumbo perch out with the 1/4th oz steelshad and I know have to target slabs crappie with it🎣
@@panfishin-fool8057 I was very surprised how well it worked. I caught a few nice bluegill that didn’t get included in the video as well. I guess it catches everything lol thanks a bunch for your comment 👍
Just keep the videos coming buddy I enjoy them that's for sure🤙🏾
That thing is so much fun to throw! I get the small size in the twin pack. The vibration is so smooth and the fish find it!
They definitely catch all kinds of fish. Thanks a bunch for the comment 👍
A true sportsman will help and share information about bites, lures etc., with others. My hat is off to you for your sharing. Thank you.
Thank you Michael. I sure hope folks can use some of the things I share on here. Maybe they can help them catch a few more fish 👍
Good Saturday morning ~ I just wanted to update you on my experience now with this blade bait. You’re right the hooks need to be upgraded one size but all in all the bait catches fish. I will have to order a bunch more because you most definitely will get hung up until you get the depth right. I had more success slow trolling through the fish ID’d on my fish finder and then started twitching the bait until one would grab it. I ended up losing all 4 baits after about 9hrs of fishing… Lol
@@trucolored glad to hear it worked for you. I’ve only got one and I’m scared to use it 🤣
I just picked the twin pack at my local bass pro shop for $10.99 and came straight to youtube, can't wait to try them out.
They work great. Keep me posted how you do with them 👍
Bass love it and tree limbs can’t resist them ~~ Lol have a great day and keep the pressure on those fish ✌🏽
@@trucolored you too 👍
Gary i can tell you were genuinely excited. Fun to watch an old fishermen find a new trick!
Hey Jordan thanks for the comment. Yeah I don’t get excited much about baits but this one had me thinking about all the possibilities and that was exciting. It’s definitely helping put more limits in the boat and quickly 👍
Looks like the real deal, I ck'd out the link but couldn't find the 1/4oz in chrome. I did find the chrome in 3/8oz. Thats for sharing.
Hey thanks for the comments Ernie. Appreciate you letting me know about the link. I’ll look into it 👍
I thought you were going to share that secret cheese bait recipe! But I tell you what that little shad bait is a killer! Thanks for sharing,
Lol not just yet J.D. and yeah I wish I had known about it sooner. Those little trebles sure snag those light biters lol
@@CATCHAHAWG gonna have to get some, also thanks for showing more electronics info, always wanting to learn. 👍
@@j.d.survivoroutdoors4912 you bet ya. Thanks for taking the time to watch 👍
Man, that thing was catching them. Thanks for posting.
You ain’t kidding. I made that video in less than an hour which almost never happens lol
Great video. Can't wait to see you catching bass.
Hey thanks Lannie. I’m definitely going to make a video catching bass with that bait. I went for a couple hours that afternoon and caught two and then remembered that I only have one of those baits lol decided I better get a few more before trying to make a video
Smart thinking.
@@lanniesteen9154 yeah I’m almost positive I would have lost it if I tried to make a bass fishing video lol I did however catch two before I realized I only had one bait .
Looking good brother!
Thank you Willard. I really enjoyed myself out there. It’s not very often I come across something that works so well. I couldn’t believe how it snagged those two nice crappie lol
I’ve only caught one Crappie on it but the Bass in our county’s reservoir are attacking it with authority ~ I’ve lost a couple nice size ones right at the boat because little hooks pull right out on the flop.
@@trucolored oh yeah I understand why you need some bigger hooks for it. Number 6 superline Gamakatsu should be good and wouldn’t kill the action if yours is the 1/4 ounce size
Guess I need to make a trip to the tackle shop
Me too Ben. I’m really excited about how well those things work. I’m definitely going to need a few with all the brush and timber I fish around lol
@@CATCHAHAWG I’d be real excited if I could get a minute to go fishing 🎣! Thanks for the secret sauce 😆
@@benbrownlow5007 I hate to hear that Ben. Fishing is good for the soul lol Hope you’re able to get out soon 👍
Hey Bro. Have you tried Rapala's Rap V blade bait yet? I would love to see you make a video using this lure. I think you would slay the fish on one of these lures. If you can, please make a video using a Rapala Rap V blade bait.
Hey Michael thanks for the comment. I’ll check those out and see what I can come up with. 👍
I've used those for a long time, caught a ton of white bass, never thought to use it for crappie
Hey Milton I’ve used another version called a gay blade for bass back when I was younger. I never thought much about them for crappie either until recently. I was needing something that customers could feel when the wind is blowing and I think I found it
Thanks for the video enjoyed watching. GOD bless
Thank you David. I really do appreciate your comment 👍
Awesome video, I just bought 4 of those to use to catch some Skip Jack for catfish bait this coming Saturday. It is good to know they will work for crappie as well. I think I will buy a few more. Looking forward to see how they work on Bass. Have you quit using your LiveScope or just giving it a rest?
Hey Glenn yeah I’m just giving the livescope a rest. I like to know I can still catch them without it lol
Hey this was some great footage right here... I bought a Humminbird beginners model 500 series fishfinder and i have been studying how to recognize structure and fish but the challenge is what to through at them once you locate them, this Steelshad Blade lure is the ticket.. thanks for sharing ...Happy 4th of July 2024
@@trucolored I’m really glad you liked it. Those types of baits work really well when the fish are finicky. The steel shad is a little bit more pricey than some of the other brands but they all work great. Thanks for taking the time to watch 👍
@@CATCHAHAWG I just ordered (4) from BassProShop and plan on putting them to the test. Like I said Im in the learning stages of using a fishfinder and a buyo marker, I will share my results with you. I think this lure was a great find and hope you continue good sucess with your fishing guide business. I need a invite to Texas hint hint lol
@@trucolored hope you bust them. Keep me posted on how it goes 👍
As many crappie that you catch and eating lots of them you are fixing to start growing fins. As always, good job Brother.
Hey Michael, fortunately for the fish I don’t eat very many of them lol I keep ten a couple times a year and release the rest. Do like me some venison and wild pork though 😬
@@CATCHAHAWG Big pork fan myself. mmmm
@@19jake23 those rascals have showed up on my place the last three nights. I’m about to let the air out of a few of them lol
Man I know what u mean about finiky black crappie having some problem... man u stumbled across a gem in that bait looks like awesome ideal to think outside the box 👍
I got em now. They’ve had it lol. The sad thing is I got that thing a couple months ago and just put it on a shelf where I could see it everyday lol
@@CATCHAHAWG this whole time who knew huh?😂
@@slabbusterrtr7690 I know right 🤦♂️
Mine came today in the mail.... Can't wait til next week to give these babies a try. Don't go to the Lake on a summer weekend. Too many crazyies...
Hey Rick I know what you mean. I try not to fish on any weekends lol let me know how those baits work for you.
@@CATCHAHAWG Got me a pvc "brush pile" set out. These could work great going right over the top of it.....
@@rickneyhard7795 they definitely work well especially on those fish that barely bite the bait
@@CATCHAHAWG I have a couple of slab white bass lures and old guy made. Really sharp hooks. I always told him the whites just have to look at those lures and they're hooked. He's gone to the big hole in the sky now. If I get hung up with his lure , I'm going swiming.....
BIG Honey Hole in the sky. Think faster than I punch...
Nice crappies
Thank you Michael I appreciate the comment 👍
Bass pro shop has a lots of them
I’m building my outdoor rewards points for them. Lol I seem to accumulate a lot of tackle that way 🤦♂️
It looks like a walleye bait. I'll be trying these in a month or so.
They work fantastic. I’ve been told there are some similar for less price so you might look around some. Thank you for the comment 👍
Blade baits off Temu are pretty good for $1 a pop
Hey thanks for that tip. I’m always getting emails from that site but never have bought anything. It’s good to hear from someone that actually has 👍
Wow
Hey Billy thank a bunch for watching and taking the time to comment 👍
Goin to try it
Hey thanks a bunch for the comment. That thing works great 👍. I’m definitely going to be getting some more for myself
@@CATCHAHAWG i absolutely love speck/crappie fishing and I think it will work for white bass and hybrid bass also
@@orlandogardener oh yeah definitely. It seems to catch everything lol
curious how many feet deep was that timber on average and how many feet were you were letting that jig fall into the timber before you start jigging?
Hey Ben, those trees are in 20 ft. I was dropping that bait down to the bottom and hoping it like a jigging spoon. I’m guessing it will work on suspended fish as well. Thanks for the comment 👍
@@CATCHAHAWG Thanks for the reply, Love the videos...keep em coming!
@@holyawesome2 thank you sir I appreciate you watching 👍
How deep was the water where you were vertical jigging that steel shad?
The Glenn those trees are in 20ft. They were right on the bottom.
@@CATCHAHAWG I can see where the flash and flutter of jigging that bait would make them bite on the fall.
@@glennmize9057 definitely! I am amazed at how well it works. There’s been a lot of fish just nipping at our jigs lately. This bait snags them lol
What if you take that front hook off and add a small willow leaf blade?
Hey Kenneth I’m sure they would get after it. Have you tried it yet?
@@CATCHAHAWG I have just ordered some, waiting on them to come in.
@@SherrieWilliams-rb2go nice 👍 let me know how they work for you Sherrie. Thank you for the comment.
Just ordered mine.
@@KennethTrivett-kr8rr awesome! Be careful with those things around brush those hooks are sticky lol
What size is that Still shad
@@michaelupchurch3769 the one I’m using for crappies is a 1/4 ounce. Thanks Michael for the comment 👍
@@CATCHAHAWG okay thanks
