Awesome video! SUPER helpful! Just got the exact stereo for my 2012 Impala and the only issue I had was getting the GPS antenna cord through the spot in the trim to get down to the box. I tried for 20 minutes and couldn't get it down there but I just ran it along the passenger side of the dash and under into the stereo and it went just fine. I'm a visual learner and even showing the settings and stuff at the end was a great touch! Thanks for the help!!!
This videos is helping me so much! I actually think I got the exact same stereo as you for my 06 Chevy Impala and this video really helped me figure out what all the extra things like the GPS antenna and the microphone were for haha. I still have a few questions like: Do I still need to mount the GPA antenna if I’ll only be using the GPS with my phone? I’d also like to know if having that microphone is necessary if my phone is always connected to the radio; can I just use my phone as the microphone? Also, is the external speaker for the door chime really necessary; Could I just leave the chime to keep coming out of the speakers?
I have this hooked up to a 2008 Silverado, no Bose and no steering wheel controls. I can not get a display but I can get sound. None of the push buttons work. The display will come on for 4-5 seconds and then switch to a picture of a stock webcam photo. It’s been two days of frustration. Everything is hooked up like you did here. I can’t figure it out
So I got mine next day delivery for 149.00 on cyber Monday. I want to thank blue collar garage for this video. I watched it many times so when I started my install it was a breeze. I did have some trouble getting that GPS cable through the top dash. But a quick pull off of the dash bezel on the passenger side I was in! It did not come with the camera. But Winter has started here in Ontario and I would not have installed anyway till spring. The guy is right . This think has the look and feel of units hundreds more expensive. If you have a non Bose system in your Impala it's a breeze. I have the Bose amp and having trouble getting sound out the back. Custom service is pretty much non existent. I will try again today as I really want to keep the unit. If anyone has some advice on the Bose hookup or what I could be doing wrong any help would be appreciated. There's only so many connectors
For mine I just needed to keep adjusting the harness wires connected to the radio until it stopped making static and on the dsp setting I would put the passenger mode and keep adjusting the wires until it was connected to the back speakers and perfect with no static
@@DjdjdjfnnffI can't get no sound from the rear. As I feared. I hate this Bose shit. Always a problem getting a after market radio. I have it all hooked up and I'm lost
After fiddling around with this unit. If you find you amp is too powerful. Or do not want a backup camera and don't want it to come in when you reverse. Go to settings Select Car settings Go to factory and enter 000000 You will able to adjust your amp and turn off back up camera detection

Does anyone know if you can install this without the microphone/gps/speaker? Im totally fine using wires connection for apple car play
To connect the backup camera can’t I just splice into the wiring harness connected to the headlight? And not the actual wiring connecting to the car
Your link takes me to the radio. But this one does not come with HD camera. Can you provide the right link for exactly what you got. I want this!
I just clicked on the link and that’s the exact unit and camera that I used and installed in the video.
@BLUECOLLARGARAGE ok.i ordered today
According to the site. Camera not included. Will see soon
