- Highlights of Cam Newton as a senior at Westlake High School, taking on arch-rival Banneker H.S. Westlake won 41-7.
Cameron Newton was a five-star prospect in the class of 2007. He was committed to Florida, but ultimately landed at Blinn C.C. (TX). A couple years later, he landed at Auburn - winning a national championship and the Heisman Trophy.

This was before he was stealing laptops at UF.
He was a show off back in his early days just as he was with the Panthers. Not so much now to show off for, couldn’t even lead the Patriots to the Playoffs. Look at a player like Mahomes- he has composure and is excited on excellent plays and doesn’t have to do tribal dances to show off. Respectable quarterbacks last in the NFL, show offs only try to make themselves stand out as, “It’s all about me”, and do not have long careers.
