@@bethdavis6863 It's dumb as hell if YT is auto-flagging and censoring videos that have a "blood" color in them somewhere, but I'll take "fiddling with color saturation" over "having to blur the details of a livestock birth process" any day.
The one lady off by herself against the bunk that had her baby fast was because she pushed the lamb out with all of the might of her ears! She was so cute!!
Sandi, getting the notice you have posted a video makes my day. Your arms have to be aching. The lambs are as cute as ever. Thank you for taking the time to film, edit, and post your journey. It's so appreciated.
Raining here in New Zealand on a winters morning at 5.43am. Been awake since 4am. I can hear the magpies singing. I get to wake up and enjoy you Sandi and your lovely girls, what could this 65year old girl ask for better. A busy, busy lambing. 🇳🇿
Great job mama Sandi, they're coming fast and in multiples, I can only imagine how exhausting this part can be. Relieved to hear the pregtox moms have all given birth. Hang in there, and thanks for taking us along.🐑❤️👍
margaretcameron1275, Pretty sure there are sheep farmers here on the channel that could explain itbetter than I. From what I understand it's when the mama lamb hasPregnancy toxemia due to a nutritional metabolic disease during late gestation, Sandi is trying so hard to fix this problem. Hope that helps!
I'm a retired nurse who's been addicted to Sandi since the COVID lockdown. Pregnancy toxemia occurs when the ewe's feed is not nutritious enough to meet the needs of the lambs in utero. The ewe's metabolism starts using proteins from her muscles. The waste product of that muscle breakdown is ketones which if left unchecked will cause death.Sandi had an 'epiphany' realization that her ewes are heavier than they had been when she first consulted a nutritionist. And they're carrying more multiples than just twins. The treatment for preg tox is glycol orally twice daily, calcium subcutaneously & I believe Sandi also gave selenium. Traditionally shepherds gave molasses which has similar effect of providing glucose quickly. Sandi's also giving the preg tox ewes pellets which I think are protein enriched. I appreciated all the info nero wolfe & crickets shared so I hope I'm "passing it on"💕💕
My favorite time of year. I love the babies. I also love videos of the lambs sitting on the moms and running round and round. They are so cute following anyone wanting to lead them.
Sandi, I really appreciate how hard you work and how much of your heart you put into everything. I've learned so much because of you! Thank you for being such an amazing example of compassionate animal husbandry.
Have just finished a big bundle of ironing and hit UA-cam and there is Sandi with her sheep! What a way to relax ❤️ I wait in eager anticipation of every one of your videos but the lambing time just lifts my spirits. Thank you for putting in the time to make these videos and I know you have even more work to do with the restrictions from UA-cam. We appreciate you Sandi ❤️
Poor Piper! Hope she's better. I hope all her detractors realize that she's a young dog learning her place. Just like you can't expect adult behavior from a toddler, you have to give pups a chance to make mistakes so they can learn. This has been on my mind since the couple of times you've mentioned how some viewers hate her. She's a good pupper.
For a Puppy she is actually rather well behaved I've delt with some CRAZY little puppies before one of which is now about 10 if memory serves correctly and she's still extra hyper
Piper has become quite the sheep dog. But she is young and still learning. She does overstep her boundaries with mom and new babies and it sounds like one of the mamas let her know to stay away from her babies. Glad only her little feelings are hurt. She will be okay and hopefully learn to give mom and newborns a little space going forward.
Wow! what a fulfilling video! I don't watch any other 'reality' shows - don't need the Kardashians or the sharks!! Sandi & her flock give me adrenalin-filled suspense waiting for that newborn to shake its head. Holding my breath while Sandi's magic fingers with eyes figure out who's what in the mysteries of the birth canal. Wow! thank you, Sandi!! 💕💕
Yayyyy!!!! I have been waiting for another video LOVE YOU SANDI!!! ❤️ also I will watch your videos even if all I can do is hear you and the sheep! Leave her alone Yt this is so uplifting and educational ❤
Would you be able to stock the barn with a lambing kit for YOU? Snacks, protein shakes, instant coffee, etc? Whiskey? Lol. It's no good if the farmer works themselves ragged while taking care of the herd.
@@pattirowe3864 Or Jess or Mark could bring some take-out to the barn? I'm sure Sandi just needs to eat her meal in peace with nobody Baaaing at her 😂💕💕
Piper was probably put in her place by a Mommy and went flying through the air. I noticed that even Kinsley gets a good shove every now and then. It's a learning curve for all the doggos!
I do worry about Piper being in and around the flock, just because of the size difference. She could easily get squashed, trampled or butted by a snotty ram or even a ewe when they have lambs and get all mama bear. That said I had a dog that used to come with me while using a digger, people would worry but she had a sixth sense and would never come closer than just off the tip of the bucket. I'll respect that Sandi knows her animals as I knew mine, we just want to care for and keep them safe.
@@trippinggauntlet4520 I know my dog, a pit bull boxer mix, is about as smart as a stick. Strangers come near and she runs behind me to protect her. She was scared of a wild rabbit. So, I give Sandy huge credit for trusting her dogs and allowing them to learn through trial and error how to interact with the sheep. I think Piper learned error quite well and has some good bruising happening and that's why she is hiding.
@@iris5678 Sounds like my dog. I got a new mop bucket. It's scary! She's a pit bull boxer mix. When she gets annoying, I think I will just bring the bucket out and put it near me so she leaves me alone.. she has issues...
This is my first comment to your channel! I love watching your videos. I am an elementary teacher and enjoy learning from your channel. One thing that I love is watching you take such great care of your mamas, daddies, and precious babies! Thank you so much for sharing your story with us!
Thank you Sandi. ❤️ There is such a fine line between giving the ewes the feed they need to support multiple births and over conditioning them. Those were some really large lambs, it’s nice to see large lambs but equally as nice to see that the ewes had no problems delivering them ! Thank you again for an enjoyable day ! 🌺💚🙃
Sandi Sandi Sandi!!! Thanks for taking us along! I appreciate you!!! Poor Piper , hope she feels better . Stay safe stay great and keep up the good work!!!!
What a busy gal!! You are such a good caretaker of your flock, Sandi! It is so sweet when you talk to them! Yikes, five babies for that one! Sad that two were still born. 😢. You are a wonder, Miss Sandi!! Love from Pennsylvania, USA 💕🌷🐻
Having babies is contagious today 😉. Lots of new ones and so far ( 21:59 ) and not many issues. All those beautiful babies! Sandi is the best grandmomma.
Me too! I actually miss it when she doesn't have time to greet them all, especially the "Welcome " greeting. Don't know why that one has become a favorite, but after 815 or so videos, it's ingrained in my brain. (I have actually gone back to #1 and watched Sandi grow.) And I still holler "get the resuscitator " or "time to get out the thermometer " way back when she hadn't learned these lessons. So I guess I'm trainable still at 74. 😮 😊
Love a bunch of new lambs at lunchtime on a Saturday! Although it's been super busy for you, you seem less stressed than with some previous lambing, and I love that for you! ❤❤❤❤
Your patience with letting that one ewe lamb on her own was amazing ❤ I really wanted to jump in there myself. Wish that unique colored one had been a girl, but still so so cute. Hope you got to eat! Thank you for sharing!
Sandi, bless you..when they decide to lamb- they just don’t give you even a break to eat! But they are such cute little babies, thank you for sharing them with us, so precious ❤
Anyone watching Sandi's lambing videos for the first time? Keep this in mind: Sandi is an experienced sheep farmer, and cares very much for her flock. Many have names, and are her 'pets'. If in doubt, know that Sandi loves her flock, and that Sandi knows best how to care for her mamas and babies. ❤
It's never easy losing a new born , my mother wanted sheep and we raised them for three years. Remember a lot of late cold nights helping deliver lambs. Calves were a lot easier and less likely to lose one.
Don’t know how you manage to get such good videos and midwife at the same time. But I really appreciate it. Such a busy time for you taking care of your animals and your viewers too!❤
Lovely lamb news. I am always amazed at how matter of fact farmers have to be about losses. You must feel the emotions inside, but need to be practical. Hugs x
You know Sandi, the week wouldn't be the same without a video from you and your sheep. I love watching you anytime, but I must admit, lambing is my favourite type of video you produce. How you find time to deal with so many lambs, and so much else, and STILL record videos I will never know? You look rushed off your feet! Kudos to you for recording such great content in such hectic circumstances. Seriously, you make such great videos, and I watch them religiously. Thank you for showing us all what it's like to be a shepheress in this day and age, it's so interesting. Have a great weekend!

I found your videos just after my husband ended his life and you really have helped me and my little ones through a dark place as we sit and watch the lambs, sheep upto mischief and Lucy etc always getting involved and my little lads love the farming aspect of it all as well.
What a fabulous video,Sandi you are soooo good at what you do and sooooo kind to all your sheep.Come on utube give this channel a brake as there are so many channels that show sheep ,cows, pigs horses and the test giving birth live no matter how much afterbirth, blood there is so come on give Sandi a brake she is such a caring sheep farmer.

It occurs to me we don’t see you doing the hardest part of your job - juggling all the gigabytes you create! SD card issues, dang editing police, etc but you always manage to tell a story I can’t wait to watch.
You are such a great farmer. I love how much you care for your sheep. Each lamb is so important to you and making sure Mama is doing fine. It is sad when you lose a lamb but such are the ways of nature. Glad that the last pregtox had her babies.
I keep thinking that she should keep some protein shakes in her office fridge and make a PB&J sandwich, just in case. Her metabolic rate has got to be so high that she needs all the help she can get. 😊
I'm amazed at myself when watching a tv show and see sheep and look to see their docked tails, shearing, pregnancy or gender dangles. Who knew I'd ever know sheep growers in Scotland, Canada, and Australia? UA-cam can be a classroom ready when you are to learn and see the world. Sandi is a caring shepardess. THANK YOU, Sandi.
How did you learn all this OB stuff? Did you take a class? Read a book? Follow Rex around? I'm always amazed by what a great labor, delivery, recovery system you have set up. Just like human babies!
Sandi's been sheep farming for over 12 years. I learned a lot about her & Mark's journey from their guest appearance on Fed by Farming podcast when they were visiting Cammy in Scotland. Sandi & Mark both have agriculture degrees from U of Guelph. Sandi was in chicken farming, decided she wanted sheep. She did take a Masters class in sheepherding. Her vet Rex has been very good about sharing his knowledge by text & phone rather than insisting on getting paid for a house call. I'm sure by now Sandi must have helped deliver over 10,000 lambs. Her fingers & brain coordinate to 'show' her whose feet belong to who & sort out the tangled jigsaw when lambs are trying to all come out at once! 💕💕

Long day as a hospice nurse and now in my jammies and getting my Lamb fix. Thanks, Sandi!
🙏blessings on you & your work! Thank YOU! 💕💕
It's so much easier to understand the situation when you leave a hint of color so everything is just dulled. I hope that works out!
"You can't run away from your responsibilities" 😂😂
Even if they're oopsie babies!
Baby explosion before due dates 😮 I'm so excited 🍿
Great job mama Sandi, they're coming fast and in multiples, I can only imagine how exhausting this part can be. Relieved to hear the pregtox moms have all given birth. Hang in there, and thanks for taking us along.🐑❤️👍
@bkm2797 Can you explain what "pregtox" is please.😊
margaretcameron1275,
Pretty sure there are sheep farmers here on the channel that could explain itbetter than I.
Happy Sandi Saturday everyone ! 🌺💚🙃
What a treat this Saturday. Just what I needed!
Sandi-you bring us joy with the mas and bas
Your lambing videos NEVER get boring, love all you do !
🙏🙏praying the tornado misses you & you & all your flock & buildings okay!💕💕
I was thinking the same!
I hope that Piper gets better soon. She was such a comfort for Jess last year.
I believe Piper's confidence took a hit! Probably by a ewe in labour that she pestered too much! Piper will learn the boundaries!
For a Puppy she is actually rather well behaved I've delt with some CRAZY little puppies before one of which is now about 10 if memory serves correctly and she's still extra hyper
I adore Piper. She’s young and eager. And cute to boot! ❤
LOL. What a great idea! 😮❤
@@pattirowe3864 Or Jess or Mark could bring some take-out to the barn? I'm sure Sandi just needs to eat her meal in peace with nobody Baaaing at her 😂💕💕
Sandi makes that choice.
We healthcare IT workers are on call 24 hours a day. To keep ICU ventilators running, etc. Rather a big deal.
It could have even been she was mildly inconvenienced by something. I've had mine get startled by a falling broom and sulk all day
@@trippinggauntlet4520 I know my dog, a pit bull boxer mix, is about as smart as a stick.
@@simplymeconnie4003My rescue dogs have issues. One is very needy and the other thinks she is a cat.
It is amazing how fast they can go from barely standing to jumping around
I’m loving the Summer Lambing Diaries!!!!! 🤍✌️
This is my first comment to your channel! I love watching your videos. I am an elementary teacher and enjoy learning from your channel. One thing that I love is watching you take such great care of your mamas, daddies, and precious babies! Thank you so much for sharing your story with us!
Kudos to Sandi
and a special kudos (especially at this time of year) to elementary teachers. lol
Love watching Sandi and all her mommas with babies! Warms my heart to see all the little ones! ❤
Thank you for sharing beautiful moments of new life Sandi. Keep doing what you do.xx
What a wonderful way to start a Saturday..with an explosion of lambs!!!
Man oh man what a day you had beautiful lambs!!!
Love it when im holding the phone and Sandi posts a video.❤️
Same!
It's a full moon in two days! Good luck with the lambing rush!
Happy Saturday everyone!
Thank you and have a blessed day♥️🙏🏽
Shauntae, have a wonderful weekend too 🐑🐏🐑😊
excellent video. As an old Lamaze childbirth educator I feel for the sheep and watch the breathing they use to deal with the pain.
Wow! That’s a lot of lambs! Sandy you are a CHAMP! Love to you and all the little ones…you did it.♥️👍🙏😍
Sandi Sandi Sandi!!! Thanks for taking us along! I appreciate you!!! Poor Piper , hope she feels better . Stay safe stay great and keep up the good work!!!!
I think a labouring ewe handed Piper her as*! 😂😂😂😂
I love how Sandi greats the newborns! 'Well hello...Welcome... Good Morning!'
@@JC-kr9vt it’s super cute 🥰
Sandi Brock your sheep 🐑🐏 are the best because you do all you can to make them that way. Love you Brock family!!
Don’t know how you manage to get such good videos and midwife at the same time. But I really appreciate it. Such a busy time for you taking care of your animals and your viewers too!❤
Love watching all your videos.I have learned alot. All your hard work does not go unappreciated!
Lovely lamb news. I am always amazed at how matter of fact farmers have to be about losses. You must feel the emotions inside, but need to be practical. Hugs x
The birthing ewes are keeping Sandi hopping! 💕💕
I love watching all those babies popping out at once. Its a really wild thing to see. Thanks Sandi.
Take care if yourself until next time.
Well those lambs certainly came fast and furious today, kept Sandi hopping ❤
Thank you so much Sandi! Your videos make me so happy
Thank you for listening to my comment, the bit of color makes it not to hars on the eyes ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Growing up we were cattle oriented and I always wanted sheep. Dad called them field maggots. As an adult I finally got polypay sheep❤❤❤
what are "polypay" sheep? Is that a breed? Glad you got to fulfill your childhood dream! 💕💕
Sandi your absolutely amazing and give all your fur babies the upmost care, love and attention, I don’t know how you do it sheep, farming, family life plus I bet you do a whole lot more than we see your like super woman.
❤❤love watching the lambings! Fast and furious day for you and the Mama's, oh my goodness!!❤❤ beautiful babies❤❤ you are my favorite person to watch. I've learned so much about lambs. Thank you for your incredible videos!!!❤❤
The background lamb antics of the 10 family at 13:20 really made me smile. They are so cute and funny 😊
I’m so in love ❤ with lambing season! And the way you tell each mama how good she has done, also how sweetly you talk to the new babies are just the highlight of the whole thing! I bet there’s not another 🐑 breeder that talks like you do to the herd! So sorry you are having issues with YT but I will watch no matter what you show so for me I say film whatever is easiest for you. Your time is way too valuable to accommodate their requirements and I’m happy to watch any and every thing you put out there. Thank you for all you do! 😊❤🫶
❤❤❤
Not even an hour later you have hundreds of comments!! Always love watching you and the flock. It occurs to me we don’t see you doing the hardest part of your job - juggling all the gigabytes you create! SD card issues, dang editing police, etc but you always manage to tell a story I can’t wait to watch.
I don’t know how you do all you do. Love the babies.
I love your videos Sandi. I’m always amazed how the ewes tongue starts flicking when the lambs are being born. It’s like Mother Nature’s on switch.
Excellent vlog, Sandi! TFS!! Much love ❤️~

Good early 2 am morning in Australia, Sandi. I have been looking forward to seeing your next episode.
You are such a great farmer. I love how much you care for your sheep. Each lamb is so important to you and making sure Mama is doing fine. It is sad when you lose a lamb but such are the ways of nature. Glad that the last pregtox had her babies.
Great job at keeping up with your mamas. Eat to stay strong, Sandi!
Oh yeah, & then there's Sandi's NICU!! 💕💕
@@elainerempel1613 I saw that interview too. I was just wondering if this was all learn as you go or did she gave specific training
Hi Sandi, you are busy, busy with babies.👍. Those three babies are so cute. That baby is pretty. That ewe was somewhat traumatized. Hope she settled down ok. Thank you for this lovely video.❤️❤️ bye 🥰
Sandi-"what are you doing?" The ewe-"Chillin on a dirt road. Laid back swervin like I'm George Jones. Smoke rolling out the window, an ice cold beer sittin in the console!" 😂 I don't know why THAT popped into my head, but enjoy. 😂😅
Thank you for the laugh 😂
@@m.dilitto5488 You're welcome 😊
Sandi, I absolutely love lambing time! That is why I first started watching about three years ago and have followed along with all of your life events ever since. I have cried with you, laughed with you, been frustrated with you and all the things in between. Thank you for being open and honest with us about the ups and downs on the farm.
Loved seeing the lamb in upper left screen frolicking (start at about 14 minutes in) ! This is a LOT of babies BEFORE official due date, whew.
I absolutely love your videos with the precious lamb births. I get so excited when you have a new video up. It makes me so happy. It’s such a nice break from all the terrible things in this world. I hope and pray the remainder of your lambing births go amazingly well.
I will always watch your videos. Thank you sooooooo much for making my day. Yay!!!
Keep up the great work. You have so much compassion for your lambs and ewes.
They’re all so very precious. It’s such hard and long work.
