Another good watch Nick. Weather report as requested, here in Western Australia (work), finished off hottest summer on record, yet Eastern states (home in New South Wales) floggin down with rain and major flooding across Queensland and lot of NSW. Cyclone tracking off the Northwest WA heading for the Pilbara. Be a shame if I can’t fly back up to work. 🤣🤣 Tad of a contrast to your place mate. Look forward to the next instalment. Nick, great vid mate 👍 So many different bits of useful info here, even if not using a chute. Site looks good, great job 👍🌟😁 Oh, by the way. I live in Louisiana in America. Right now our weather is cold windy and rainy. Usually Jan.,Feb., and first part of march are like that. Temps vary from warm muggy or cold freezing days to cold wet or moderate clear nights. But hey, if ya don't like the weather around here, wait five minutes it's apt to change. Won't be long we will be in the hot and humid point and hurricane season will begin and run till November. Starts cooling down around October, but could have days that can get hot. Christmas one year was 31.6C. Anywho, take care, stay safe. Hello to Finn and Mum.

At my local ecotherapy group some twunt keeps nicking the parachute, so we have to take it down every week. Putting it up and taking it down again has become quite smooth with all the extra practice though!

Here in Canada we can't go to Canadian Tire and pick one up so easy to make one. ;) Nicely explained, as always. I was wondering how you were going to deal with that tree without reducing the effectiveness of the cover.

I have to say, that it wouldn't have occurred to me to use a parachute for a roof like this. At most, I might have seen fit to use a MASH-style canvas tent for this, but more likely would have turned to something even more "old-school," like a yurt, or a tipi, or some kind of pavilion.

I have an old large 'chute, had it for years, used to use it at festivals. I was wondering if you could have got away without cutting it, mine has internal loops every other seam and we used to make a 'slice' by folding the 'chute around the branch/trunk and lace up the loops and use them as tie-outs also. saying that it wasn't a 'permanent' structure like yours. 😁👍
