“This green is my favorite color in this palette” - that’s funny, because she doesn’t like gree- “So take that, people who think I don’t like green!” 😂😂😂 dead.
I heard so much love in the way you talked about Caleb. Mentioning his likes and dislikes, how he inspired this soap, and gave you ideas, what he was like when you met him. Its very beautiful.
I understand when Katie says it’s a modern look for this soap because everything vintage and the neutral colors are coming back in trend big time. I remember when I was a teen modern meant crazy neon colors. :) this is so much more relaxing. Looks like Swiss military colors. Great for men for sure
@@revinaque1342 exactly ! And the geometric patterns as well! The neon tubes the pop art. So crazy thinking about it isn’t it? And at that time „future“ looked so different than what now is the future of then.
@@sarassoap So true! I thought we'd go full minimalist--lots of white with some stainless steel accents. I never in a million years would've imagined vintage and cottagecore as the aesthetic of 2020 😄
Step by Step and Family Matters were at the height of they're success, and there wasn't enough room in the year book for all of the high hairstyles...🤣💖😂
Pausing the video to say I LOVE THIS TOP!!! When it was just swirled i thought theres no way its going to look better textured, then you did the half and blew my mind! I was thinking noooo leave it like that then... you did the other side and i fell in love. that is amazingly creative! I'm a soaper as well and i want to so badly try that out now. i know it won't look THIS perfect but I would have never thought to do that. ahh, the inspiration QUEEN!
I like watching Gilmore Girls as a sleepy show.. There are arguments but nothing truly bad happens. Plus I've seen it soooo many times already that I don't really need to concentrate.
I take gift shopping super seriously. I will search 5 stores for the perfect personal gift. I loooove finding that one perfect thing for someone. If I had money I'd buy things for people all the time
The amount of people that came into my store (bath and bodyworks) looking for that candle was insane haha. I had no idea it was a tik tok thing until someone told me. So many calls about it too.
It’s 1am so time to overshare with internet strangers. I’m having major physical anxiety symptoms and I needed something chill to watch. Very thankful for Katie’s chill vibes and regular uploads.
My Mom was watching "Call the Midwife" and so I started, and it's very cozy and comfy, unless you happen to be pregnant, where I could see it might bring up worries (since it's all about midwives in the 50s and 60s).
It got pretty serious pretty fast, and I was afraid of what was coming so I stopped watching. Maybe I could give it another try, with a glass of wine just in case.
Call the Midwife is amazing! It has some very intense moments but it isn’t melodramatic or overly cruel. I do cry nearly every episode, but usually while saying “whhyyyy am I crying right now?” because it’s either just inspiring or poignant or actually sad. It’s a fabulous show
I love Hearing how your creative process was different this time and how Caleb was able to give you direction and you took the direction and created a soap based off of that! A lot of people in that same position wouldn’t take to other people suggestions and that’s what I love about you is that it’s not just what inspires you but you’re inspired by what inspires other people!
MORE CANDLES PLEASE!!! Also, hearing how much you and Caleb love Doc Martin makes me happy. It was one of my late grandma's favorite show that we would watch together ❤️
Omgosh yes! 9's would have to be something leathery smelling in shades of black and gray. 10 would be khaki and blue. 11 would HAVE to have some red. And a River and/or Ponds soap! I'd buy every single one.
I've been obsessed with Carole and Tuesday on Netflix, it somehow manages to fit all the typical anime elements into a really lighthearted and beautiful story in such a well-coordinated way without being very hyperbolic or sensationalized - it's really expanded my understanding of how you can use a genre to tell a story even if they aren't historically paired well together. And besides that, the animation and music is absolutely gorgeous, I honestly can't recommend it enough.
I think i prefer how cool toned it looks in the thumbnail from the top view than this warmer tone that sort of reminds me of a military uniform. Love the textured top
adding a touch of blue to the greens and dark gray could be interesting to try and pull it back. but with the scent acting the way it does, trying the same colour palette with a slightly browning scent could be interesting too.
My favorite calm and sleepy thing to watch is Ophelia's Soapery here on UA-cam! Her videos are so gorgeous. You rock, Katie! I loved hearing more about how you and Caleb get along and work together.
I love the look of this soap! So earthy and warm 🧡 I watch typical "kid" shows for sleepy times like sofia the first, octonauts, care bears - any one that's got enough of a story to feel engaging but it's a kids show so the peril won't stress me out before bedtime!
Acorn has a series called "Mum". It follows a recent widow and how her family treats her almost like furniture, and yet she just steadily keeps going. Very funny. The humor is on point and very pointed at the same time.
Great British Bake Off is by far my favorite show to watch to relax! Even though it’s a competition, everyone is so pleasant and delightful that is usually not stressful.
Your videos are absolutely amazing. I've become obsessed with your content in just 1 week. Your videos have made my days better. Like I've been so stressed with college this semester because its my last one and my grades are like a roller coaster. If I pick up 2 classes, the other 3 drop. Its a circus ring. And I see your videos and your a happy 26 year old that is married and has 2 precious babies and have a company. I admire that. Not a lot of people have that at that age. Im 21 year old struggling college student that still does not know what with her life. Your enthusiasm is infectious and I just love your laugh. You're personality is just amazing and sweet. My favourite quiet and calm show is Midnight Diner. It’s a Japanese slice of life show that follows characters who regular a little diner in Tokyo that is open from midnight until 7am. It’s just very calming and somber in its opening, and the stories are generally really emotional, and it’s very pretty.
I loved❤❤❤ this soap. Natural and soft is the new star of the show!! The shows that I fall asleep to are any of the National Geographic shows. I LOVE THEM🥰!!
For a calming show - I love Father Brown. Some episodes are more intense than others, and there are murders, but the main theme is everyone is redeemable. ☀️ It's perfect for a rainy day with a nice cup of tea 🌧️
Most relaxing, calm tv is hands down Bob Ross. I love watching his stuff. Also, cannot wait to get this soap for my husband. We got our first Royalty Soaps a few days ago and we are LOVING THEM!
Katie, please tell me you’re a Keeping Up Appearances fan?? My mom and I watched it every Saturday night when I was a kid, and I still watch it. It’s just the absolute funniest show! I was thinking the other day that I would looooove to see a themed soap of the show: hyacinth, rose and daisy- scented, with the design of the soap the colors of Hyacinth’s Royal Doulton with hand-painted periwinkle fine China 🥰😂
It's not a tv show but I like watching Village Life on youtube. Two ladies in India cooking food on a fire. No talking, just them calmly chopping and stirring. I believe they make it to give to less fortunate people.
If you like watching people cook with no talking watch Imamu room. She has videos where she makes a weeks worth of bento for her husband. It is very calming.
While most would not consider them calm or peaceful, I really like to watch "scary" shows at bed time. I often fall asleep watching them. Lol I can take me several days to finally see the whole episode. But, when I'm really having a hard time falling asleep, I will put Bob Ross on. His voice is so calm and soothing. I also think listening to him helps me because when I had cable and couldn't sleep, his show was all that was on.
I really like star trek the original series as my calming show! Something about the music, visuals, and especially the voices of the actors are great. It's great because when you really pay attention, there's good action, good food for thought and good times, but when you just kind of have it on in the background, it's chill
My husband and I love watching Northern Exposure before bed. It is an 80’s series placed in Alaska. It is funny, fill of lovely nature shots, and has a good story line. We loved it when it came out (in fact I named my dog after the main character Maggie!) and we enjoy watching it again now. ❤️
Perfect fall colored soap. Really hope this becomes a regular. Easiest way for me to Christmas shop is to have my husband and kids to just give me a list of what they want for Christmas. This way everyone is happy.

I was literally yelling at my phone when you were using the tongue depresser "No...... Crazy lady with the tongue depresser! Stop!!!" It does look good though, but I LOVED the swirls alone even better.
I always need shows on in the background or before bed and it's usually a sitcom like The office or Seinfeld or Muder She Wrote since that is a very nostalgic show for me. It's light and formulaic and that makes it feel comforting. Also Jessica Fletcher is way before her time! She was a smart, witty and strong female character which was rare for the time.
Dinnerladies and Vicar of Dibley are two excellent shows, especially if you like comedy as well as that gentle/calming/cozy feel. Best watched in your pyjamas whilst eating soup.
This is one of my favorite color palettes to date. I love the kind of greens you used for this soap, Katie. I'd really like to see more green soaps in the future sometime!
Loving the green! Such a cute soap and the swirl + texturing looks so good :) My favourtie sleepy time show is the old midsummer murders, which sounds funny, but when I was a kid I used to curl up at my nanna's side and watch MM in the evening. Schitt's Creek is super cute; set in like a small town, it's pretty wholesome' it's about a rich family that loses their riches and have to live out of a motel in a town called Schitt's Creek. It's adorable; I watched it with my mom and sisters and we all loved it~
