Story behind the song:
It was impossible to turn down an invitation from one of our fans (Brad and Andrea Harker) to visit a private race track in the middle of the Nevada desert just outside of Las Vegas. We took our cameras with us and a new tune that we created just for the occasion. Thanks to a number of subscribers for the suggestion to remake this epic classical piece by Carl Orff! It was one of three possibilities we were considering when writing with the race track in mind. In the end it was no contest; especially when we read the English transition of the Latin lyrics in the piece -- which speak of fate like a "wheel" and a "driving force!" Our version of O Fortuna was so much fun to create that it was done in a matter of three days (we couldn't let ourselves do anything else until it was finished). It consists of 6 piano tracks, 43 acoustic cello tracks, 3 percussion tracks, and 48 vocal tracks.
A special thanks to Orin Harker (He owns the white car) , along with his wife Val, who hosted us, gave us all the ride of our lives, and taught us about the coolness of Radical Racing! They definitely went the "extra mile" with us in so many ways -- we are indebted to them. They even treated us to a steak dinner...good thing too, because we would have just had some cheap pizza! =)

"The Symphony Of Speed" ~ The opening and the closing stance of 'Carmina
Burana' talks about 'Fortuna', the Roman goddesses who governs the
wheel of fortune that drives the fate of both men and gods. The tone of
the song roars up after a min. or two like an unleashed race car, and
that's the brilliance of this video. The beautiful thing is that even if
it abruptly ends, you could still feel the heated emotions radiating at

Da, all other versions are without the car sounds.
For me, the car sounds add so much. They bolster the power of the voices and intensify the experience. I'm not even that much of a car guy, I just fell in love with this version instantly.

Great art work. I just discovered -this time- this adaptation of another's work by The Piano Guys: Carl Orff's Carmina Burana. I could not believe to my ears what I hear. The very familiar music, that is almost always in the schedule of the New York Philharmonic (fall program). You can feel the music and understand it in as many ways as it fits. And car race is a wonderful interpretation too. Just like the atmosphere of challenge, fight, live, passion, (emotional)drive, hold your breath, run, turbulence .... Not to mention that The Piano Guys' This is Your Fight Song was also an indispensable remaking of Rachel Platten's song with a totally new meaning forward. Well done again. Beautiful!

O Fortuna does not lend itself to piano and cello. It really does need a choir.

+Alan Liefting I completely agree with you; O Fortuna needs the grand choir and everything else, but having said that I think it just shows how good this piece of music is when you can strip it down to the bare minimum, piano and cello, and still get such a beautiful track.

Compré esta canción en un album llamado "The Piano Guys - Hits Vol. 1." Ese album era el primer de los Piano Guys, y no estoy seguro si ya es posible comprar legalmente, otro que la edición firmada. Y ese cuesta $44 US ahora.
Tal vez sería posible comprar el album de otro lugar, como eBay o algo.

Its most likely that they were forced to take it down from their channel. Such as their Batman evolution track, which was taken down by Sony due to copyright reasons.
kinda bothers me that the wrong lyrics are used at the wrong time of the song. but it's cool.
If you listen/watch their performances you will see that they "modernize" (some say corrupt but I don't agree) many of the classics. Whatever you call it they are excellent at what they do.
