Hi, great review. I have had the D1 PRO now for a few weeks and really love it. Ok this is my first projector so can't compare it with any other like you do. But i think for the price i got it for which was £150( should have been £250) got a Amazon discount, its amazing. I had every intention of hooking up my Orbitsound soundbar, but like you said the sound really is amazing. I have linked it up to my soundbar and obviously it becomes even better, but if you haven't got a external speaker this will cope well with your average size room. My only negative ans its a subject that nobody like yourself has ever mentioned is the USB subject. I specifically purchased a projector to play stuff through a memory stick( specifically holiday videos downloaded from my DJI equipment). I can never get good smooth footage when mirroring footage through my tv so thought id go down tge projector route. So imagine my disappointment when i tried to play a holiday last year around Switzerland through the USB port and found that Aurzen only play footage of 4GB or under and the stick must be formatted to FAT 32. So my 9.9GB of footage had to be broken up into 4 separate parts. I've written to Aurzen about trying to somehow change the issue of space of a USB to play larger files. The technical department said it was something they would look into and thanked me for my suggestion. Maybe you know if any other projectors have the same operating limit with their usb ports. Id be interested to know your thoughts on this. But the Aurzen D1 PRO is brilliant and i won't be changing it just yet.👍
Hmmm yeah I can’t say I was aware of this problem to start with. It is quite weird that would be limited. I imagine it isn’t a problem they will fix and probably leave on the back burner.
Still trying to figure out whether to buy new TV OLED but prices too much for me, would this be an option and what about the screen I would need or a wall maybe? Please tell me exactly everything I would need starting from scratch. I stream everything on my tablet right now but miss TV screen for action movies!
You can use this on a white wall, a cheap 100” screen would also help. This isn’t comparable to an Oled. But a great night time option or if you can block out a decent amount of daytime light
I’m curious about the differences between the D1 Pro and Boom 3. Given that the Boom 3 is now their most dated model, what differences are there in the operating system speed and responsiveness and has the app navigation interface changed or is it the same across all 3 models. I have the base model D1, but it’s not bright enough for the tool it’s in, but I can’t decide on the Pro or Boom 3. I like the premium look of the Boom 3 more than the D1 series, I just wouldn’t want to buy the Boom 3 if the interface is less user friendly or older feeling and slower than the D1 Pro. What do you think? Have they updated the Boom 3 to have the same user interface and speeds as the D1 pro?

Honestly I think the D1 pro is the better buy unless you want the slightly better speakers in the boom 3. Lumens are very close
