Diana Ross put the original version on her website age under her favorite things and said that she loved JK’s songs and videos. Said Michael was coming through. She also said that she loved the dancing. Happy to see you are enjoying getting to experience all the great music and talent in BTS. Jimin and Jung Kook have a travel show that is coming out on Disney Plus on August 8th. I can’t remember how many episodes there will be, but it would be a great opportunity to get to know a little about their deep friendship and personalities. 😊 if you watch JK’s songs from”Seven” (he cut his hair quite a bit for it), then 3D, Then Standing Next to You and then this remix you will see a trend where his hair gets shorter and shorter. He told us that he would be doing that as time hit closer for him to enroll. The Usher Remix was filmed just a few weeks before he enlisted.

Jungkook's entire album "GOLDEN" is in English. However, you can always turn on the subtitles (CC) and read the lyrics. A lot of BTS songs have some English words/phrases, but the group's only complete English songs are "Dynamite", "Butter", and "Permission to Dance". They also have some features on other songs that are all English. RM, the leader of the group, is the only member fluent in English, the others have said they are studying it, but for the most part, while singing English, they are doing it phonetically.

If you enjoy dance, Jhope used to be a street dancer and has a love for old school hiphop and is an amazing freestyler and was part of a crew named NEURON when he was a child, on the otherhand jimin was a contempory dancer who went to school for dance, but he also partook in dance battles for freestyle which you can find!!
Both RM and SUGA were underground rappers.
Not to mention their insane lyric writing and composing of their own songs, all members have written and directed a lot of their work, spending a lot of time in their own studios, their penmanship is INSANE!!!!!!!

I became a BTS ARMY through Michael Jackson. Michael’s nephew Taj Jackson kept tweeting about BTS around MJ’s birthday in 2020 and it got me curious enough to check out their song Dynamite. In that MV BTS have a lot of MJ inspired choreography.
7:22 your comment about ‘MJ would be so proud’ I agree wholeheartedly. As a MJ fan I clearly remember a young Usher performing with MJ at Michael’s 30th Anniversary concert in 2001. Now we see Usher figuratively passing the torch to his younger colleague Jung Kook.
Also a massive MJ fan I love how BTS respects and admires Michael Jackson. It’s not just Jung Kook and Jimin either. All 7 BTS members have shown that they regard MJ - j-hope (one of BTS’s 3 rappers and BTS’s Dance Leader) says they ‘revere’ him. Nor is it just recent - from 2012 to present day BTS have repeatedly shown they are inspired by him. In 2012, 6 months before they even debuted RM rapped about how cool Michael Jackson is (you can find this on UA-cam- it’s called Welcome to the Bangtan Room)
A lot of artists clearly have been inspired by Michael Jackson but in BTS case I think you see how they’ve adopted his strive for excellence. Like MJ did they make songs that not only have meaning plus sound great, then make killer choreography and music videos to go with it. Then replicate that quality live to put on an unforgettable show.

The original version it's just Jungkook but seriously, I have to say this collab for the remix is just as good! Usher is the perfect feat. for it and also he said he was really excited to collab with Jungkook since he likes BTS and also bc this song reminded him of Michael Jackson 💜

One thing I ask is to please not compare them to one another- they are still all a part of the whole of BTS. They all have different styles and messages in their solo work as well as the group’s whole musical catalog. Even their approaches can change from their solo album to album ( for example Jimin’s FACE is totally different from MUSE). They all are about exploring and pushing themselves and their music.
I know there are songs that I am not so keen on, but the beauty of it all is there are so many that I do love, and I never get bored since they cover so many genres and their lyrics are phenomenal.

So jungkook has a full English album. Jimin has mixed, which is how it goes in K-pop. Taehyung (V) has very chill songs. The rappers go very different and diverse. RM, suga aka Agust d and hope , bangers. Their music is not for everyone, they do a lot of hip hop too. I have a feeling you might enjoy RM. I LOVE HIS MUSIC. he talks about a lot of things in different perspectives. Philosophical. Suga talks about world in a psychological way. jhope has his own vibe, very dancy too, as he is the main dancer. As for Jin, he’s working on his album as he was first to enlist. He has few solos which shows his majestic vocals, he has a song called astronaut with coldplay. Amazing vocalist. I hope u give them a solid chance. As a group and as individuals. Language can be a barrier, once u look past it. It’s WONDERFUL music. ❤

Besides all the homages to MJ armys on Twitter have connected the dots and found a LOT of direct references to Baz Luhrmann's Romeo and Juliet movie - the wings, the stage is almost identical, Jk sign in the heart, rival families setting w the girl and the fight etc
Also ,there was some confusion about the actress , it's not the one who played Diana in The Crown, armys got too excited 😂

Hi! To confirm your thoughts: the video is an homage to Baz Luhrmann's 1996 film adaptation of Romeo and Juliet, confirmed by the video director on her Instagram. So many callbacks and tributes. The fight scene happens in the film, too. It's the warring families of the two lovers. It makes sense from the "We aren't allowed to be together but f**k that I will die for you" perspective of the lyrics. Borahae from Portugal.

The main character's wings (Jungkook in the music video, Juliet's wings in Romeo and Juliet) 3. Same heart shape 4. Fighting between people from both families There are many similarities to Romeo and Juliet, including scenes. The meaning of the song's lyrics also means an eternal love that will be with you no matter what.

"Seven" songwriters Andrew Watt, John Bellion and Cirkut strike again with this incredible song. Other credited songwriters are Henry Walter and Ali Tamposi. Also, like "Seven", it was produced by Watt and Cirkut. JK said Andrew Watt did a great job of directing him with his vocals. 💜

Filmed at an old out-of-use power plant and also at a speedway (for racing cars) in Budapest Hungary. The woman is a Ukrainian model. They built the whole set that looks like a stage inside the power plant. MV director said the MV is based on Baz Luhrmann’s movie Romeo & Juliet (the one with Claire Danes/Leo DiCaprio). Same music producers as Seven- Andrew Watt/ Circuit and Andrew Watt is one of the writers. All English album of songs based on love ( good and bad sides)- for the international audience. JK is aiming to be a “big global pop star” 💜

After JK recorded "Seven", Andrew Watt offered to show him other songs he'd been working on and JK liked this one. He said he would practice it so he would be ready to record the next day. He recorded the whole song in four hours. --Suchwita, ep. 21.

I'm sure someone will make a comment that's more detailed and informative than mine, but I just have to shout out the dancers for a sec... JK isn't kidding when he praises them. That's a handful of world-class choreographers there, and JK's got them being his backup dancers, lol. Apparently, he reached out and asked them personally. Persuasive power of the golden maknae!
One of the dancers in particular-the Filipino guy with the shaved sides (blonde in the Usher vid), the one who is usually right next to JK and being all playful with him-is Brian Puspos. He was Jimin and JK's favorite choreographer back when they were much younger and significantly less famous... and those two would practice Brian's choreographies in their free time (there's some cool old recordings).
Big Hit commissioned Brian's choreography for one of BTS' earlier songs, "Butterfly." Several years later, he also did the choreography for Jimin's solo song, Serendipity. Both absolutely gorgeous! But apparently, the way kpop does choreo commissions is all remote, so none of them ever met in person (in fact, Brian explained in a later interview that he had no idea what group he was even working with, for Butterfly... it was all arranged through the company.
But yeah, JK personally sought out Brian. And JK, who is now the waaaay more famous of the two, was still star struck to meet him. It was super cute. They became fast friends, though. They had some hilarious social media interactions during the Golden promotions era.
