Yoon originally wasn’t the maknae though, he was part of the maknae line when there were 5 members in WINNER. Yoon wasn’t the original leader back in 2013 when they did WIN: WHO IS NEXT, it was Mino. But then during the survival show..Team A (WINNER) was struggling a bit finding their chemistry or style as a group. When practicing for a collab stage performance for GD’s “Crooked” stage, Mino injured his ankle. YG had a meeting with Team A and suggested to change the leader position since Mino has to take care of his ankle and because it seems like Team A was still unsure about their direction as a group. So he appointed the lead position to Yoon, maybe it was just temporary. BUT then it worked out because Yoon managed to get the group on the same page and really showed his calm yet strong leadership skills. Mino was actually thankful towards Yoon because he took over as leader. Mino is naturally such a bright personality, but when he became leader he felt that heavy burden and couldn’t be his upbeat bright self. Yoon had the right mix of calm and stern leadership, but at the same time he really does know his members well..their strength and weaknesses and knows how to deal with the different personalities. So he remained the leader of WINNER ever since and he has been doing an amazing job. He may seem mature, calm, and cool and at times seems like the HYUNG than the actual hyungs. But there are other times when Yoon’s maknae tendencies and behavior comes out and the other members of course tease him a lot for it. So it’s a good balance, he can be a cool leader, but also the cute and playful maknae at the same time. The point is that they all respect each other and the hyungs really look out for their leader maknae who is such a perfectionist and workaholic. He worked so hard and is such an unselfish leader, they want him to also focus on himself and live his life too. Which I find so sweet, they’re really family. 😭
cuteakoya he's even working as a deputy director for team winner. He got paid. But seungyoon's royalties is probably higher especially with really really haha
Sorphear Hoonie is known to be very frugal with his money. The hyungs isn’t really big spenders like the maknae line. Most of their clothes are fan presents and when Hoonie feels like splurging he will, but is very picky lol. Jinwoo is even pickier haha! I remember when the members bought him a brand name bag, but Jinwoo hasn’t used it yet. Haha! They felt insulted a little bit, but Jinwoo said he’ll use it someday cuz he already has a bag that he likes to use more. This group is so savage to each other, but at the same time are such brothers and good friends.
