Enigma! Had no money when it was first released; found it on Camden market in '86 for two quid. Bought it, kept it. Including picture cover... Hats off to UA-cam, world's best jukebox...
I havent been able to find this track for 35 years. What a treasure trove. Thanks for posting this, takes me back to doing homework and listening to john peel. Marvellous
Southsea was a great gig. John Mackie was the drummer. He later played with Radio Stars. He now works in movies doing special effects. Kevin and I will probably be playing some Stukas tunes together in Scarborough the first Saturday in October 2012. My latest band is Beat Club based in Bournemouth. Best Regards, Raggy Lewis (the one in specs)
Oh how I wanted to be one of those colours! I'm doing well, thank you. Bit of a Stukas reunion in Scarborough next week. I live near Bournemouth - you can find me on Facebook. I hope all's well with you. I was an Ann Dickens' 50th birthday party a few years ago.
Hi Peter! We never released an LP, but the track may have made it onto a compilation. Klean Livin' Kids was on a Chiswick compilation and you can now obtain various tracks on dodgy cd albums like this www.retro-records.com/stukas.htm Cheers! The one in specs.
I was in a band and we supported The Stukas in Southsea. Their music made me leave the covers band I was with and go join a punk band. Anyone know who the drummer was?
I have added someone on Facebook that I think may be you. If its the wrong person I think I'm quite easy to find. There's a pic of me with my niece. Bournemouth eh? I'm still in London and yes, all is well with me. Would be nice to catch up
Oh my - are you the Paula that used to roller skate in Edmonton? Or the Paula that worked at RAK? Or the Paula that mistook the Nissan Main Dealer for Nelson Mandela? And why are you using Marco's account?
Garry Lewis I'm in Ottery St Mary in Devon , spend a lot of time up Bournemouth way too I'm very well too thanks , still playing on a very regular basis !
I have an ex-Qualcomm colleague who lives in Ottery - rides a scooter and swims in the sea - I'll tell you his name when I remember it. I temporarily retire from live (bass-playing) performances (work and family obligations) at the end of November at the Spyglass and Kettle in Southbourne with Beat Club - playing songs made famous by British Beat Groups 1963-66. Let me know next time you're up my way and we can chin-wag - although I spend a lot of time overseas on work assignments.

Hi Raggy. The Paula who lived in Edmonton with the colourful love life. Marco is my son. How are you?
I was in a band and we supported The Stukas in Southsea.
Their music made me leave the covers band I was with and go join a punk band.
Anyone know who the drummer was?
John Mackie was/is the drummer
Sorry, I may have misread that.
Did you want to know the name of the drummer in The Stukas, or the name of the drummer in the punk band you joined?
