I feel like Jace being aggressive and direct towards Luke was a response to them both seeing Aemond train with Criston and just easily pushing Jace to the floor with one arm in episode 8

Yea remember this episode happened not long after episode 8 so that scuffle is still fresh it's especially frustrating for jace as in his mind he's the future king and he's getting pushed to the ground like a child and can't throw a decent punch aemond clearly got to him .

@Ali Chaudhry jace in episode 8 : "a king should honer the traditions of his forebears " he may not throw much of a punch but he has the heart and mind of a true king , aemond is just a over compensating manchild who got a kid killed for no reason and started a war , people only like aemond because he just happened to take vhegar and has daemon like personality but for aemond it's just to hide his inferiority complex and entitlement he's no more fit to be king then aegon he's just more of an asshole.

The baby was a stillbirth, that's why she wanted it out. There were no C-Sections so she had to get that baby out pronto.
The childbirth scenes, while absolutely horrific, are exactly what Aemma said in the very first episode. The woman's battlefield.

I think Rhaenyra knew she wasn’t giving birth to an alive baby, that’s why she was trying to pull her out.

Both Erryk and Arryk are whitecloaks. Arryk is Aegons sworn shield. Like Criston was to Rhaenyra. Erryk is the good brother who let Rhaenys out and stole Viserys crown.

The baby was supposed to be her only daughter. She was gonna name it Visenya…after the conqueror’s older, badass sister. Same name she wanted to name her brother when she thought Aemma was gonna have a girl. But the news drove her into a rage and the baby came a month early. It was malformed and had scales and a tail. Even knowing that Lukey was gonna die, it made the build up even worse. The dread. Poor baby. It was interesting that it turned out that the dragons took their own actions instead of what we’ve always just assumed thinking Aemond meant to kill his nephew. But no one will believe him. Cuz he’s a bit of a psycho. The writers have been confused why people love Daemon and I hope the whole domestic violence thing against Rhaenyra will make people realize more what a malicious character he can be. Cuz the whole wonton murder thing in episode one didn’t make people bat an eye.

The shock sent her into premature labour. She couldn't do anything at that point but give birth knowing her baby wouldn't/ couldn't survive it. She 100% wanted her daughter & was devastated by the loss.
The paper was the one she ripped from the book in episode 1. It was about Nymeria fleeing before the situation got worse. It was 100% supposed to be a "look we were so close once" as well as trying to manipulate her into not fighting back.

11:20 No, Daemon is not claiming that Dragon, because no Targaryen or Dragon Lord can claim more than one Dragon. what Daemon is doing is visiting the caves of Dragonstone to check the status of the riderless Dragons on the island, in this case it is Vermithor, the Dragon of his grandfather King Jahaerys I.

Aegon the Conqueror and Daenerys had more than one

    • @angelbianchi5610
      @angelbianchi5610 Рік тому

@@BrendanBeckett No my friend, Aegon I Targaryen, "The Conqueror", only had one Dragon as a mount, like every Targaryen/Dragon Lord that ever existed, that Dragon was Balerion "The Black Terror". The other two Targaryen Dragons that they possessed during the time of the conquest, were Vhagar and Meraxes, which were the mounts of Aegon I's sisters/Wives, Visenya and Rhaenys (Not to be confused with the actual Rhaenys Targaryen in the current timeline from House of the Dragon). The Three would have these Dragons as their only mounts until the end of each of their lives (Balerion and Vhagar would have more Targaryen riders after the deaths of Aegon I and Visenya, but Meraxes died alongside his rider Rhaenys in the Wars with dorne).
As for Daenerys Targaryen, her situation is special: no Dragon Egg had hatched in more than a century, and the three who were born in the Fire with Daenerys did so from a Fire and Blood Spell, and therefore the three they hatched at the same time and Daenerys was their Master and "Mother", unlike any common birth from an egg bestowed on a Targaryen of the past. But if you realize, both in the books and in the series, despite the fact that Daenerys' three Dragons (Drogon, Rhaegal and Viserion) are loyal to her, the only Dragon she takes as a mount is Drogon, because at Despite the unique situation in which her dragons were born and bonded to her, the rule that a Targaryen dragonrider can only have ONE Dragon as a mount still holds and Daenerys cannot escape it, therefore she cannot ride neither of the other two Dragons, even though they are loyal to her. For example, during battles, the two Mountless Dragons, Viserion and Rhaegal, follow her into battle, but they only follow what Drogon, her alpha brother, does, and Drogon is the only one who follows Daenerys' orders, since that Drogon is Dany's only Mount, in other words, Viserion and Rhaegal only follow their Alpha Dragon. Of course, that does not mean that they were not attached to Daenerys, she was their "Mother", but she did not give them any orders in the air or on the ground, because she was not a rider of either of them. Also, then Jon Snow (a bastard Targaryen) would take Rhaegal as a mount, because he had NO rider.

1)I keep thinking that Rhaenyra's first son is Sir Christen Cole's kid.
    2) I think we will see Daemon scared of Rhaenyra at least once next season, and this may be if and when she gets her hands on Aemond. Only Sir Christen got a chance to be how physically brutal she can be with the boar, aka wild pig, she killed during the hunt. Rhaenyra is on the hunt. Aemond has been affiliated with a pig twice this season. We just saw Rhaenyra survive what her mother and sister in law didn't. When she gave birth to her 3rd child she walked the halls of the castle to the queens quarters to be with her baby to protect it, when she should have been resting and celebrating. She now just lost 2 children, learned about the lost of her father, and acquired the role as queen. Instead of grieving her stillborn, instead of grieving her father's loss, and instead of celebrating her ascention she is being asked to consider the future of the realm at the risk to her life and the lives of those she loves. She can still ride her own dragon, and now has dominion over other dragons and dragon riders. Poor Aemond. Poor Otto. Poor Aegon II. We don't know your future, but given what you've done and to whom you've done it-I cannot say you don't deserve what's coming, but I will weep for you.

    *Aemond* *Is* *Still* *A* *Kid*
We tend to forget Aemond is only about 15 or 16. I've seen the memes with Martin Lawrence and that Aemond looks like he's mf-ing 30 but we forget he's still just a kid. So the look in Aemond's face after Vhagar chomped on Arrax was like, OH S--T, I JUST F--KED UP. He feels the responsibility of killing someone for the FIRST TIME. Luke is like breaking his cherry at killing.
Aemond has ZERO experience participating in a war, let alone, killing multiple MEN like Daemon and Corlys have. He may look like a BADASS and I personally think he should take off his eye patch to show us his sapphire eye. But at the end of the day, he is just a kid. The change making it into he didn't intend to kill Lucerys starts to make more sense. The writers are reminding us he's not a cold-blooded killer but a kid who does stupid kid stuff that triggers Rhaenyra to go to war.

In it, it is revealed that the name of the song Daemon sings to Vermithor is "With Three Heads". Check the English translation:
    Fire breathes, winged leader
    but two heads
    For a third to sing
    From my voice:
    The fires spoke
And the price has been paid
    with blood magic
    With words of fire
    with clear eyes
    To tie the three
    for you i sing

We'll fly like we were meant to

This season and episode was great. I'm a sucker for good dialogue and buildup and that's what this was all about. From what I've read without spoilers, the main story started at ep 6 with the big 10 yr time jump but the writers wanted to give more background so we get the relationships/motivations of a lot of characters. S1 was never going to be all out war. That will be S2 and beyond. This was just exposition like the earlier seasons of GOT. We should be getting at least 4 seasons and I'm hype.

In the book Aemond he kills Luke and because he wanted not to and as he is showing in the series that he is sorry, the name of Rhaenyra's baby would be a girl and her name would be visenya
Rhaenyra wasn't dreaming of a dragon giving birth. Her own dragon, Syrax, was screaming in pain at her because they are so bonded. If you notice during the Battle of the Stepstones, Caraxes screams when Daemon is hit by an arrow. this shows how Rhaenyra and Daemon have a great connection with their dragons. Rhaenyra's anger burns the whole transition was so well done, her anger is completely justified compared to how they made Daenarys
Daemon as crazy as it gets, he loved his brother. From the scene where he stopped Corlis talking shit about Viserys in ep 1, helping on the throne to mourning on the beach. I don't think Daemon wanted to show weakness because Rhaenyra was at her most vulnerable in childbirth and it wasn't easy.. (His last wife died in childbirth, and I believe it is also said that his mother died in childbirth and his wife Viserys died in childbirth.) So the only thing he could do was prepare for the war he knew was coming. The scene on the beach was much longer of him on the beach Matt the actor he shot a scene on the beach the daemon suffering from the death of his baby who was a girl and her name was the series visenya but HBO preferred to remove this scene the daemon he is not no saint anymore he loves his family he loves his children and really rhaenyra only unfortunately the writers prefer not to show that side of him much, i think the reason daemon didnt go to rhaenyra when she was giving birth is because he feared having to make an impossible choice. The last woman he had complications with died. He didn't want to have to make that choice for Rhaenyra. He couldn't lose her that way. When he dropped to his knees, he was relieved that she was okay and had survived. Rhaenyra didn't want help during the birth because of her mother's death. She wanted to get that baby out so she wouldn't suffer the same fate. This series/book is awesome...
Matt Smith said that Daemon would give his life for Viserys and Rhaenyra. I fully believe he was heartbroken to see his brother in that condition.

Jace is still remembering Aemond dominating him the night before & Aegon doing the same (actually worse) to Luke. Jace is trying to get Luke & himself up to the Green boys standard so they don't get whooped again. Jace is future King in his mind & he's frustrated that he got pushed to the ground like a little child. It was not weeks later either idk where you got that from, this episode starts on the same day or the very day after Rhaenys escaped. She flew straight to Dragonstone & her dragon is massive & flies fast plus Dragonstone isn't very far away in Dragon flight time. Jace wasn't being "mean" he was being tough for their Training. Nothing outside that scene shows Jace rude to Luke or pushing him around or anything. He was training his little brother.
Daemon & the council were not taking advantage of Rhaenyra giving birth. They were being realistic planning the defense of the island. Literally Green Assassins or soldiers or even all 4 Green Dragons could appear right behind Rhaenys at any moment. Planning defenses & preparing to secure alliances is what was needed in that moment. Considering the Greens were planning this in advance & got to the other High Lords first it was extremely important Daemon & company try playing catch up as quickly as possible.
We see clearly everyone on the council Daemon included bend the knee to her & accept her as Queen. Daemon is even loyal to her son Jace & as beein proclaiming him heir to the Throne not any of his kids with Rhaenyra. Based on the fact Rhaenyra didn't want any help I'm guessing she wouldn't allow Daemon to help either. I understand it's harsh that he wasn't there but I'm of the opinion that settling the Island defenses to protect his Wife the Queen & the potential healthy baby she might have is far more important. What's the point being there for Rhaenyra if an Assassin or troops show up to kill them all anyway & they're caught flat footed.
Dog that baby was like 3 months premature. The Maidens & That maester pointed like out. I think the baby had the umbilical cord around it's throat too. And it looks deformed or something around the head though that might just be birth gunk idk. But there was no chance a baby that premature being birth solely because of the stress put on the mom was surviving. And yea, likely a still birth. But no she didn't want that to happen.
Daemon choked her in attempt to snap her out of this stupid stale/inaction taking attitude she has that's like her father. It was literally a weakness of his & it's the reason a war will start now. His inaction allowed the Greens to gain this power. Daemon doesn't want a similar fate to fall on her. He's also lashing out a little for feeling overlooked again by his brother not telling him this secret dragon dream.
I mean let's really consider this here, the entire reason they let Laenor leave & risked turning Corlys & Rhaenys against them is because she needed Daemon to help her against the Greens. I mean she literally says "I need you uncle I can not face the Greens alone". He agrees & now the time is here, these fuckers have usurped the Iron Throne, basically spitting on Viserys grave, and she's considering accepting the Greens terms? Basically surrendering? I'd be pissed off if I were Daemon as well. She's literally being naive to the point of stupidity just like her dad. Daemon was preparing for this fight the moment they married because that's what she needed him for & he feels like she's going back on her word to him.
I mean the choking part aside I'm with Daemon here. He was on point this entire episode. The only thing (again choking aside) that I may not have done was kill Otto like Daemon wanted to. Because I wouldn't want to deliver the first strike in the war. Plus it's super dishonorable to kill the messenger. Rhaenyra (And Alicent suffered this same stupidity last episode) is being naive to think there's anyway this goes peaceful with her ending up on the Throne. And it's even dumber to think the Realm is safer under Aegon II who she knows is a drunk fool who isn't even aware of the prophecy. What was she going to get him alone & tell him & expect him to actually take it seriously?
I'm against Daemon choking her. But she forgave it & understood. It's not the sign of a consistent toxic relationship thing since it wasn't a book story. It's most likely a one time foul up to remind us that Daemon is still a rouge. In this fictional setting I'm looking past it & still loving Daemon. Until we see otherwise that is. (And while they've made book changes nothing so far that effects the end result. Aemond accidentally killing Luke still ends with Luke dead, Daemon killing his wife still results in her dead, Laenor not dying still results in him being gone from the story, etc...)
The above said, I do think she needed a wake up call & I do think he realized he over did it.
Daemon went to see Vermithor the second largest Dragon. Not a wild Dragon. Not to sure why, I really hope it's to claim or at least attempt to claim a 2nd Dragon. But it could also be to get the Dragon used to humans again for the war. Dany literally controlled 3 Dragons. People can complain & argue she didn't claim all 3 & therefore couldn't ride all 3 if she wanted (Bullshit I say personally) but it's without doubt she had control of them especially when they all reunited before leaving Meereen. She could direct them all in battle as proven by her taking all 3 to save Jon & crew & not a single Dragon came close to killing the good guys as per Dany's instruction. You don't HAVE to ride both at the same time to be able to roughly control them both. You can direct them to the enemy & let them go ham.
At least the loss of control of the Dragons makes since.
Arrax is basically a baby probably less than 10 years old getting chased aggressively by this giant monster over 150 years old. Arrax knows Vhagar is being used to scare/harm them so out of fear it lashes out with fire. That attack triggers Vhagar to go assault mode.
BUT, I do fully blame Aemond for this. He shouldn't have been so stupid as to bring this 150 year old living Nuke of a Dragon on a chase to scare his nephew. Sure they both lost control of their Dragons but Luke is a child riding a child Dragon being chased by a giant war machine monster. It's understandable on his & his Dragons part that they got scared. It should've been understood by Aemond that Vhagar is no dog able to be controlled by stern yells. Vhagar lived during the Conquest, burned literal cities & towns to the ground. Brought lords & Kings to their knees. Aemond fucking knows that yet still was so stupid to believe he could play a cat & mouse game with this beast?
And for something Aemond already settled. He said losing the Eye to gain Vhagar was a fair trade & told Alicent to chill.
Ultimately Aemond may not have meant to kill Luke, which is a change I like, it's still his fault 100%.

I've seen people saying the queen is being too indecisive. Indecisive yes she wants to think about it but she plunges the kingdom into war were thousands and thousands of people are going to die. I've read the books and I like the changes they've made it makes a lot of the characters more three-dimensional than just look at me I'm good or look at me I'm bad. That scene with Damon choking her why do people forget that Damon is not a good person. He's a straight-up murderer. I love Matt Smith is one my favorite actors he is killing it in this role but Damon is a bad person any supposed to be. Phenomenal first season I was obsessed from episode 1 to the end of episode 10 and you've done a great job with these videos.

both dragons didnt obey their riders. as Viserys said controling dragons is an illusion and power they should not tap into...
calling their riders as masters just stupid because any dragons can burn and chomp on their riders at any moment if they feel discomfort

I don't see why people think the Dance of the Dragons should be more than three seasons. It doesn't last very long and there are alot of troop movements and repetitive battles, as any war would have. The would need some filler between the expensive set-pieces, which we should be wary of.

Nice rection. It felt like they wanted to build up to her saying to hell peace then. We go to war. Which is supposed to be the look she gives at the end. But for somebody could have burnt the whole green to the ground at the crowning and saved many lives. No war is what she wanted. Maybe she's hoping they will kill each other, and her house will be all that's left. And finally, she can be queen. Or maybe she just said to herself if I can't rule these kingdoms. Let's get them to kill each other till there are no kingdoms. Revenge style for not making her queen when they should have. Or does she know the song of fire and ice. As she pointed out there was only one of them trying not to break the kingdoms apart. Their all so fickle. The best part was the dragon fight. Lots of inexperience there. After talking about everything burning when dragons fight. I was expecting more destruction. Not in the budget, I guess. True the death of Ned Stark was better, but it also came as a shock. A famous actor to die in the first season. It set the tone for everything that followed. Here it feels like we're going to be a lot more plotting and then things just going wrong. Like attacking a kid and having your eye cut out for it. I expect we'll see more things like that and more feet probably too. That was bad as queen she should have been better than that. Cersi would never have done that. Or Sansa and we know Khaleesi wouldn't have allowed that either. These folks from the past are weak. Let them all die by dragons' fire.

I will disagree, the finale was in a great point bc that was a HUGE moment in the book and what really started the war.
Most of the reactors love it, i surprise you didnt like it,
btw as a book reader i understand some people were mad about Aemond killing Luke "by accident" but i was ok with that, i kinda like it, draogns are hard to control.
AND NO, DAENERYS ALSO HAVE PROBLEMS CONTROLING HER DRAGONS, SHE EVEN LOCK THEM AND DROGON WAS NOT WITH HER FOR MANY TIME

I enjoy your reactions and you seem like a lovely person, but I do have to disagree with quite a few of your criticisms here. The last few episodes have been built up perfectly for the full blown conflict to be the center point of season 2. If they tried to rush the actual start of a war into this season, or cut the season off at episode 8 like you suggested, the whole thing would have been much worse off.
Your takes on the birth scene and the Luke/Jace interaction were not exactly agreeable for me as well.

Amazing reaction, as always! Ending the season at Episode 8 would've made a lot of sense, narratively. The final 2 ep's definitely did not sit or feel like season enders. On the other hand, I actually love them as epilogues (as you said) so to speak because they frame season 2 so well. Already, I think this series is starting better than GoT. I am Team Black, jsyk. I hate the (what will be) endless waiting for S2, but I will definitely tuning in to the rest of your content. Cheers!

The truth is that in this chapter I do not understand Rhaenyra, she wants to bring peace after she has been removed from the throne and has been humiliated since she had Asus children, what was she saying to Daemon in chapter 1x7, I cannot alone with them greens I need you and now that daemon realizes that the throne has been taken from his wife what is the first thing he does to look for allies reinforce dragontons in case they attack them and she starts to fight with him because she thinks she can do things better than him ,that is why it is the anger of daemon who sees in her a viserys 2.0 he knows that the hightowers have been the problem from the beginning that daemon told viserys I will protect you from anyone but that is what hurts daemon realizing that viserys I never trust him if daemon he has never been a character neither good nor bad to him the only thing that matters to him is to protect his family I know that what he did to rhaenyra was not right but that is what bothers him to see that rhaenyra be like viserys who lets himself be manipulated by others

Yeah, I saw it on Saturday. Sorry, "guilty". But I couldn't wait! Best episode of the season! Very good writing. How do you force Black Queen Rhaenyra into war? You kill her "Jonas Brothers" son. 😆
Luc and Jace Valyrion remind me of the Jonas Bros.
EDIT: Daemon went into the pit to claim Vermithor. King Jahaerys' dragon. 2nd largest dragon to Vhagar.
    Aemond: "Vhagar, No..."!
    Vhagar: "Hell yes"!!! 🧒💀😩

The chocking scene was disgusting and they ruined daemon's character... This never happened in the book...and daemon would never behave like this with rahnerya... Infact opposite he would kill anyone who dares to touch her😶
Also about the war...that was wrong as well...in the book he was the one ..who wanted to know about any diplomatic solutions before all out war😶😶😶😶😶
Both rahnerya and daemon wanted the throune equally....
They ruined his character in episode 10...wtf is wrong with showrunner 😶

Why is there so many people who expected war/battlescenes in this season finale? Remembering how the last seasons of GOT ended with a pace that went way to fast im baffled about peoples expectations for ep 10. Do they actually think someone is just going to war without knowing who her allies are and without any plans? And they think everything would be settled and ready to go within a single episode after Rhaenarya got the message fram Rhaenys? Are people stupid or just ignorant? They literaly expect and want a scenario that most people didnt want with GOT. Jeeeez
