"Hey it' the guy from the IT crowd!"
said the other guy from the IT crowd.
the Richard and Chris moment in Cafe Central makes me feel like the universe conspired to bring these two together.
I've seen the snow-globe accident so many times, and still it's uncomfortable to watch.
Lol it's got to be one of the best pieces of TV of all time. "I want to feel bad for you, but the fact that it wasn't me who did this is just making it impossible to feel bad."
I've always wondered, it was clearly an expensive thing, but why a nissan 350z inside it?
I still have a hard time believing that it actually happened. His over-the-top reaction coupled with the store owners complete lack of reaction, plus the fact that he was even being that reckless with something he was just told was valuable...it just doesn't feel genuine to me.
@@Poopscipade if it wasn't Chris, i wouldn't believe it
@@Poopscipade don't think it would be pleasant if the owner started yelling. Not a good advert for him.
"any attraction that has hand sanitizer at the end should really make you think twice" hits different in quarantine tho lmao
I feel like sanitiser will just become a standard
What's had sanitizer?
@@philodactyl ds
@@Xxsnipedawg72xX how are you still alive?
as much as I love seeing Moss and Roy reunited I have to say Richard and Noel are my favourite teamup. they're just too good
Moss and Richmond surely 😉
The burping scene actually brought me to tears laughing so hard.
That was a deep one, that was from the shoes.
checking in the comments and confirming it wasn't just me; I had to pause the video and take a break from laughing
My sides are hurting watched it over and over..
I enjoy Mel's energy so much. She seems like the best hang.
I love how Mel can just be hilarious just being Mel and doing nothing out of the ordinary
I wanted to hug the owner of the snowglobe museum when Roy broke one. I feel really bad for him.
You called him Roy lol 😉
It was staged.
staged. snowglobes aren't made with thin glass
@@StanleyKubick1 Yes they are seen loads smash. But it IS staged af.
@@StanleyKubick1 I'm guessing you are only familiar with the cheap, plastic one's lol.
Richard Ayoade "air drumming" just made my day, that image wills stay with me forever.
i just love the contrast of noel fieldings free-spirited, stream of consciousness comedy with richard ayoades repressed, discomfited attitude
"are you on drugs?" .."Yes" I love it when they're a good sport.
Idk why, but I am continually entertained at how much of a lightweight Richard is. One shot and a sip in, "Yup, okay, I can't smell the bread. I've completely lost the bread." Reminds me of when he took 2 sips of mulled wine in Gadget Man and had a buzz. 😅
I will be adding "that [burp] was from the shoes" to my vernacular immediately.
"I was trying to get my money back in the last one"
Words can't the amount of love I have for this man. But it's quite a lot.
That Flamenco teacher got so annoyed with Richard. 😂
He does take the iconic English / classic Richard sarcasm and apathy a bit far sometimes, such that it just does not translate well. And he's absolutely brilliant - long live King Richard!
And rightly so. He simply wasn't funny.
How annoying is she with her da di dai dai over the top of him, does she even know what a TV show is?
@@MadcapShambleton my partner is English, and she'd stare at me like I'd murdered someone, if I tried any sarcasm.. 😔
@@pompeymik Oh myyy
I love that the prim and proper Richard didn’t lay into her for burping, and even justified it for her 🥺
Her name is honestly escaping me, despite seeing five different shows she’s been in this week alone.
Mel Gedroych I think.
"why am I such a weak person" - "It's in the mind!! Haha that's accurate.
"Surely they'd mention that on trip advisor" 😂. That flamenco instructor was so close to smacking Richard hahaha.
Richard trying not to smile on the rollercoaster is too good
hes more scared that the guy next to him is touching his shoulder i think hahaha
His inner child was desperatly trying to come out
richard playing guitar made my year. great day :D
He looked cool for a minute, realized it, so he had to stop.
"surely they'd mention that on Trip Advisor" (16:09)😂✌️😷❤️🇨🇦
That part got me! 😂
yeah. I lost my shit at that point
Eating a Kinder egg at a saloon, the American dream was real for a minute
fun fact: in the usa after a bunch of accidents with prizes in cereal boxes and stuff you can no longer put things like prizes or toys in food anymore, including kinder eggs.
@@_Molecule I know, it was the point of the joke.
@@_Molecule that's not true but it is a funny comment. 🤭
@@fatnsassy99 Oh you're right, I just checked and it's only with confection products these rules apply. You can still do it with cereals and some other things. USA is a weird place lol.
I think Ayoade will eventually be as big a national treasure as Stephen Fry.
The cosmonaut food scene gets me every time lol
Same here...really is funny
Haven't seen all the full episodes - Richard and Rob in the Fiat: absolute gold; Richard plays guitar? Wow. Then there are the unintentional IT Crowd tie-ins, from Absinthe to Carlsberg. The snowglobe incident will get us every time, but at least we'll always have Galoppen. That was awesome, thank you Travel Man!
The barter interaction at the tea shop made me sooooo uncomfortable I'm so glad Richard took a second to stop the bit and pay the man
Minimum of 5 hrs for the tour is an awesome thing to say 😂
Richard: "Any attraction where you need hand sanitizer at the end is something to think twice about"
2020: -.-
Noel Fielding never disappoints :)
God I wish I had friends. Maybe then I could visit these places.
traveling is actuallty more fun alone . you meet people from everywhere and its adventurous .
It's great when the people providing service can go along with the jokes. It is very awkward when they don't understand Richard and act insulted 😬
that flamenco woman was horrible
@@myname-mz3lo she didnt speak english lol...
Imagine how it feels for them? Misunderstanding is bound to happen with language and cultural differences, but I can see how it might be interpreted badly. You put the sole responsibility on one side of the equation. When traveling to a place and being received by hosts you have some responsibility to know the customs of the region. (blunt translation : some Brits come off like dicks without realizing it. Cough it up to cultural differences in humor.)
@@Ohm521 I was talking about the video in particular. I was talking about how I felt watching it. I wasn't saying every service person should take a joke. I was saying that it was better in the video for me as a watcher when the service people understood him. Richard is a very difficult person to understand, comedically. If you don't know of him and his form of comedy, you're just left lost and confused. THAT situation is a hard watch.
@@Ohm521 @kerryh3833 sorry to resurrect this thread, but i'm curious about what y'all think of this idea: my gut says it was a stumbled-upon bit. not something planned ahead of time, but birthed when the instructor started making that anthem beat. richard often seems to take a non-confrontational approach with strangers, so the remark in the middle feels a bit more intentional than casual + rob, towards the end, gets real fancy in that american "i see we're past the line" kinda way. maybe it's just because i'm from the states, but the tonal shift really felt like a bit of editing jiggery-pokery instead of actual tension
Finally! An hour of Richard and the gang. You can't imagine how long I've wanted an hours worth.
Snail away, snail away, snail away! Mel burping is hilarious!
I think we all knew he was gonna break a snowglobe... it didn't stop my heart from stopping for a second! Ooooh that nervous laughter is gonna HAUNT ME!!! 6:33
His videos should be blowing up... His stale delivery punch lines are hilarious
"I have no empathy, im here to close deals." Lmao
Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this video. Thank you.
I went to Gallopin when in Copenhagen just because of this episode...it was so fun
i love mel so much omg XD
When Noel said "I really liked the open sandwiches" he sounded like Stewie Griffin.
How did Richard not say “A lightsaber is just a lightsaber?”
That seems like a huge cross section for the his nerdy type of comedy
>just hold it on the glass please
>doesn't
>immediately breaks it
That was incredibly satisfying.
I don't know why that tea seller made me so sad, he was so sad. I hope he really payed him more!
Noel's giggle is so cute 🤭😀
I miss them so much 😭❤️
“Freud would have LOVED a lightsaber…” is probably my favorite throwaway line of all time.
That Jeremy Clarkson line 👌
Noel's coat looks like it should be worn by a 5 year old girl ... I want one!
a697ag I was just going to leave a comment I had a coat like Noels in grade school. 😂
Pretty sure it's a indigenous women's coat. I see them all the time here in Canada. ( Assuming from the heavy wool, fur, and dog sledding motifs ). Red, baby blue, and white are common colours I see.
Richard smiles and chuckling is my weakness
I've seen all the episodes on CBC Gem. I could watch any of them right now. And yet I'm rewatching a mashup on youtube and loving it.
44:00 "why are you so happy?
Are you on drugs" -Joe Brand
".... Ayeuss." -Venician gelato boss
When he broke that snow globe, i lost my shit!
Yup, I should definitely have not been watching this as I'm pulling an against my will all-nighter from insomnia!
Bet that mask store at the 41 min mark is doing big things right about now.
My favorite part of an airplane trip is always the landing also Richard.
42:34 their faces lol. They look so done with it 🤣
46:40 he is actually more correct than he knows. these planes use a single flat 4 cylinder air cooled engine. the exact same engine from a vw bus.
After watching most of the fantastic series, I often wonder just how many meals the crew got stuck paying for, ie, Iceland, "I'm NOT paying," Richard shakes his head in a knowingly negative nod"
😂 I think that it comes out of the production budget. The crew doesn't get stuck with the check. They have to arrange filming etc ahead of time. The production company picks up the check
Oh my God, the haggling part has me dead.. poor guy.
The snow globe! Omg! 🤣
Mel’s face looks like she’s not enjoying her food! 🤣
Poor Chris O'Dowd must have been mortified!! (I can relate) I hope that Irwin changed the show double the price for the snow globe! 😮
'Just hold it on the glass, please' 🙄
"I might varnish it and wear it like a hat."
Seems on brand
When learning Flamenco "this dance move is called baile", well that means dance. All dance moves are baile. I wonder with other languages how much sarcsam am I missing from this show??
Johnny Vegas is such a treasure
Mel Burps 'WOW'
Actually... Absinthe was banned in France in 1915. It was already banned in several countries including the French Congo, but France finally outlawed it in 1915 when they needed healthier and more sober soldiers to fight a war.
wtf was that at 50:53 the dude looked like he was gunna cry
Just found your UA-cam channel and I’m so excited to dig into these videos!!
i would recomend watching full episodes theres so manny good moments they barely have half on this channel
Seen the little mermaid so many times...it's crazy how seeing something that often...you never think of taking pictures!
It’s great to see Richard and Chris as the uk representatives.
I would buy ticket to Richard's concert ANYTIME!
'That my friends is Gallopin'
I would imagine that calf's cheek is incredibly tender. It sounds very nice.
Love the hotrod tour😂
the way that guy spoke about the vikings sounded like he was proud, the plod
Johnny Vegas Laugh is cute
- Are you on drugs?
- YES!
Richard is so charming at 10:10. This scene plays like a dream, I'm sorry! He seems so posh, you wouldn't expect him to be so sweet about someone burping so deeply in his face. (LOL) But Mel is so cute too! If he's actually like this off camera, his wife is so lucky! The reassurance, making the excuse for her, even pouring her more... I need this man.
Worth it just for the Walkman nod there.
NOELLLL❤️❤️❤️
Richard in the shop in Dubai giving the man more and more money because he seems sad is so me it hurts.
"it's charming"
"anything where you need hand sanatiser at the end something to think twice about" haha welcome to every where in 2020!!
You know full well that you've already seen multiple comments from 5 months earlier all saying the exact same thing. Why do this?.. do you just really want to try and get attention? Is it boredom and need for likes?.. is it just ignorance?.. I'll never understand why people will comment the same thing many people already have acting as if they thought it up on their own..
Wtf that museum put the women’s rights exhibit in a tiny KITCHEN CUPBOARD?
A cat show might be like a Monster truck show. Once in a lifetime is enough. At least you don’t need earplugs for a cat show.😎😎😎
That got dark 😳 at the end 😳
Ms flamenco....none too happy...i just want say
he is amazing.
Richard treads a very fine line between humor and being downright insulting. His affected ignorance on multiple topics borders on total dismissal of others' traditions. "Oh, show me your traditional clog dance. That must be really hard on your bunions." Funny morphs into crudely embarrassing in a heartbeat. Cambridge as opposed to Oxford?
I think he went to Cambridge. I think his attitude stems from being on the spectrum, rather than the university. He's genuinely socially awkward, quiet, bookish and with a dry sense of humour and he leans into it a bit. It does come off rude at times especially when he should be well aware that it doesn't always translate to non English speakers. Some folk look like they get it - he should ease off a bit more when they aren't understanding the dead pan delivery
16:14 Oh..my..l can see why that wasn't in the original broadcast.
I need to sit down after that.
a german talking about hitler and concerthalls through a crackling handheld radioset, is something entirely different scary
54:30 richard playing the guitar
I've done similar scenes myself that got me
Is this still ongoing?
I adore Richard, but what was he thinking, leaving that fantastic feline spectacle before time? 😳😿🙈
is the snow globe bit part a bit?
No - I don't think so. The guy genuinely looks mildly upset. I don't doubt that the production paid for it but it looks real. In the broadcast I'm sure they mentioned it later and Chris was still embarrassed about it
I’ve never opened a bag of chips err crisps and expected smaller bags inside? Like nesting crisps?
What's the most awkward, uncomfortable moment in your whole life? Chris O'dowd: A snow-globe accident I once had...
They've never had sausage with cheese in it before?!... Wow
that guy selling them the tea looked pissed wth
That moment you fake dropping a snow globe before actually dropping a snow globe.
