15:47 To answer your question, they did edit The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh into a movie and release it overseas. It’s actually on the set on Disc Two while the original Three Part episodes as they originally aired on The Wonderful World of Color are on Disc One.
That’s so great that you have all 30 sets! I do as well, most I purchased from 2004-2010, but there were three sets I was missing that I didn’t get until 2014, 2016, and 2017. In 2020 I even got the 54 disc D23 Exclusive Walt Disney Treasures Premium Collection. I still can’t believe that I found that for only $700 on eBay when it usually sells in the $2000 range. I too wish so much that they would have continued making them. I totally agree with you that they are peak Disney physical media. So much more needed to be released. In case your wondering why they came to an end, well Leonard Maltin has been candid before about that he pitched the series to Dick Cook who was the longtime president of The Walt Disney Company. He was the one who enthusiastically approved of the Treasures and was why they got made. He was then quite suddenly dismissed by Bob Iger and when he left there was no one to champion for them. They just didn’t care and didn’t have any interest in releasing them. Things like this is one of the reasons I very strongly dislike Mr. Iger.
Wow! The 54 disc d23 set! That's awrsome and a great deal. Every time i see it on Ebay it's over 2,000. Thanks for the info about why they ended. I figured it had something to do with Bob.
I mean to be honest, as nice of a set that D23 is, it's really overpriced based upon what is included in it. For one thing, it's not a complete set. It's missing three sets out of 30. And it doesn't include all the booklets, lithographs, pins, replica tickets of Walt Disney World that were exclusive to the separate tin releases.
@@AlSumait Do you have the Premium Collection? I’d have to agree that overall the individual releases are better mostly because the Premium Collection doesn’t have the excellent booklets written by Leonard Maltin himself. But as Walt Disney Treasures is my favorite series of all time it was honestly worth it for me for the amazing packaging and having the corrected discs for More Silly Symphonies as I sadly missed out on them when Disney still offered them.
Classic Disney is so good. I love the animation style they use. I’m not too big into the newer Disney movies
Yes I feel the same way.
