Manatee County students' AP test scores voided

There are a lot of unhappy students in Manatee County after learning their Advanced Placement test scores won't count. They studied for months, but an apparent oversight regarding qualifications of test proctors forced the College Board to void the test scores.

my scores for AP MacroEconomics were almost voided because a teacher accidentally gave us 5 extra minutes on the multiple choice portion and some kid snitched. i had to retake the test on my graduation day !! i still hate that kid

An exception should have been made. I highly doubt the integrity of the tests was breeched, and the students had no control over that decision. They shouldn’t have been punished.

@@coolote6245 At my high school, we partnered with a state university who recognizes AP so well that all we have to do is pass the class with a C to get the dual credit. Almost all of the AP students are taking the exams because the teachers offer 200 points participation for taking the AP exam (passing grade not required) or a 200 point exam made by the teacher. We're also really blessed to have our exams paid for by the county. Just pointing this out because I'm an upcoming senior and have 22 hours of college credit. Right now, with all the classes I have scheduled for senior year, I'll graduate with a minimum of 43 college credit hours (if i pass all classes with a C). I will be going into college as a second semester sophomore. I live in a small county in West Virginia who values education and has made it easier for us to get on our feet before we graduate. It really just depends on what your county is willing to do for you.
