So this is ridiculously late, but I've got around to playing this after getting a PS4 (finally!!) and I'm not gonna try and diminish your achievement at all with the run - it is most certainly a pretty amazing achievement to have done. However, I will say that I believe this would have been even harder as a Hard mode run *not* on Challenge Mode. I did my first run on Hard as an experienced RaC player expecting things to be simple but I had to adjust very quickly. You can die really easily on Veldin with the 2 warbots and the dropship and because you have such low health, you can only take 2-4 hits before you're done. Speaking of the difficulty, one of the things I feel was really nicely done is the way the Blarg will judge the direction you're moving in and shoot where you're going to be. It added a whole new challenge to the gameplay because for once simple strafing in one direction wouldn't work and the enemies could just pick you off. Plus the grenade throwers in later levels are some of the most aggravating enemies I've faced in a RaC game with incredible accuracy and range, plus knock-back... I found it really cool that the game forced me to adapt really fast - I certainly wasn't expecting it!!
I haven't messed around with the feature too much, but you may look into the button mapping options the PS4 has to avoid accidentally using a weapon. Love your videos btw.

Awesom that your starting wrench only in this game =] But if you really wanted to not use a weapon, you should of waited a bit for skips to be found, but anyways this is still awesome keep it up!
Imagine if you complete the game and there is a third option to enter 'Wrench Mode', where it is similar like Challenge Mode but the player's weapons get removed and the only weapon they use is Ratchet's wrench. The part where you have to blow up the doors with a Fusion Grenade are edited when you have to throw the wrench and the doors blow up and the hard part where you have to shoot the door with a Combustor is skipped where you have to press x + x to jump then double jump to throw the wrench. But the health can remain 200/200 health like it was on Challenge Mode and the cut scene where 5 / 5 Galactic Rangers aim their Combustors at Zed are edited and Ratchet's Combustor is replaced with a Wrench and he acts like the Wrench is a Combustor.
I was playing Ratchet and Clank on Challenge mode on hard it was certainly most more difficult but I did not think it was insane you just have to make sure you dont gt hit I suppose, I have max health and it does nothing.
I’m so happy that they kept the spirit of the original with all the same planets, added content, and hilarious fourth wall jokes, they even kept the loading screens! And what they did Qwark! Beautiful!

Technically you could have gotten past the third door by jumping into the lava. The lava would propel you over the door.
perhaps you can equip the hypershot/swingshot to prevent accidental weapon use.

I have a challenge for you do the Ratchet & Clank game on challenge mode but only use the pistol and see how good you are with that
