I completely agree. Children are mostly influenced by their senses. However, we are educated to suppress our senses so that we can live in a society of concepts. I think that ikigai probably comes from the senses that children have.
To me, the butterfly moment is probably when I watched "Back to the Future" at 11 yrs of age. It's ironic the future became the past a long time ago. And now I see how the movie shaped my life. I do think it's possible to re-arrange the history 🤔.
I think the authentic self shows up only when you need it, and it doesn't actually happen to everyone. I do believe there are people who finish their lives remaining nescient.
