For all the studios that were shuttered, What were the sales numbers for those games created under those studios? Also creating a studio in Poland makes sense financially. Tango Gameworks, and Arkane Austin were located in cities where it is expensive to maintain teams that are not selling blockbuster games. Didnt most of Arkane Austins team leave after Redfall released. It was probably a skeleton crew that had a stigma attached to them.
Im getting the vibe Zenimax closed Tango to fund more Bethesda games where Activision opened this one. Both are massive publishers operating (semi) independently from Xbox and MS. Thats where Phil should get the final say on studio closures and shuffling teams around.

I’m not exactly thrilled about the closures but let’s put it in perspective. Tango lost their creative lead and probably a lot of their key talent when mikami left. Arcane Austin also lost their key talent which is why redfall was so bad. Roundhouse and alpha dog haven’t really contributed anything yet other than being support teams from what I understand. At some point a studio loses its identity when they lose enough of their staff and that’s what seemed to happen in this case.
