Try to find some new eclosed fusca workers and put as many as you can to the queen and put them together in the fridge . Then wait like 30 min and check on them if they arent agressive on each other . But i also recomend taking a look on some websites and dis antkeeping servers
Ok: For the socialparasitic Formica quenn: You have to go out and dig out a part of a serviformica colony. Then get as many pupea as you can get with a sponn and add 2 workers to care for the brood. Connect the brood and the two workers with your queen. She probably will kill at least one of the workers but she will accept the new workers when they hatch. Over time add more and more Serviformica Pupae. As soon as the queen has enough serviformica slawves she will start laying her own eggs. Good Luck!
those who gave hate just didn't want to see it so don't watch and those who were looking forward to it didn't get the chance to see it, if antscanada did this it would be* EtHIcAl* no hate love the guy "NO HOMO" , great vid by the way, and I was looking forward to it, keep the good ideas coming hopfuly they will actually get uploaded.😐😐😣😏🙄
There was a high likely hood that it the queen would be killed and then the video wouldn't be very good anyways. At least this way the chances of success should be much higher.
@@issifraser8212 Idk what you mean "from discord" but I am in the Ants & Ant-Keeping discord server. Also you're right but it's generally not done. Introducing callows has a higher success rate than anything else.
Hi it’s US. ANIMALS. my birthday is around the corner. And my parents want to know what species of ants I want for my birthday. And I am not sure because I want an ant species that fits me. I am a sort of beginner/intermediate ant keeper and I only have 6 colonies. 5 are all tetramorium caespitum And one is Camponotus Tortuganses. So if you could please tell me a good species for my stage as an ant keeper that would be great. PS. great vid!
I would recommend crematogaster, phedole or Lasius. Phedole are very polymorphic so they can have many queens and they grow very fast. They also have majors that are massive. Crematogaster have a Formic acid they spray on their prey. My crematogaster colony is very active and love honey. Lasius Neoniger are very active and grow pretty fast. Good luck ant keeping and thanks for the support!
Sorry to hear you coped some crap for your video, people that experiment outside the box will always attract negative attention. Just remember the world is "yours" not "theirs". Keep up the good work dude.
loved that vid
Camponotus species are my favorite and easy to raise.

What is the small ant farm brand your colony was in? I’m looking to start my own and the small one you have in the video looks perfect
Tarheel ants
also a tip for parasitic queen add callow workers and try to find cocoon less pupa in my case my queen let the workers die in the cocoon
Ben Schinkel thanks for the tip
This is 3 years old but helps me a lot
What is the especies of the camponotus?
I have the same one but don’t know what especies it is
Camponotus castaneus
also what happened to your tetramorium colony in the terrarium
Ben Schinkel I ended up releasing them back into my garden because of mold.

Id get 4 workers, offer her 1, then another one, she will obviously kill them once she gets their scent id add the other 2 workers with the brood
hi, just put 5 cocoons of formica fusca with the queens and lets do. I think that's the best method.

Issi Fraser thanks, I just got too much hate so I don’t think it was a good idea to upload it.

@@MinigunL5 are u from discord and yes but then you could put the host colony in the fridge to slow them and it also depends on the size

Also I would like a good ant species that is in the state New York because I don’t want to be keeping an ilegal species.

I have all of these species and they are all easy to keep. Phedole are escape artists though because they are very small so watch out for that.
thanks!
I might think I want to keep the big headed ant like you said.
I also subscribed!
Bro I have the same cups as you XD
that antscanada nest is a bit oversized for them
Ben Schinkel yeah I know but soon they will grow into it. I
It's not oversized so much as it is I overpriced. It is way to expensive for what you get.
