Fun fact:
For characters that are young boys they usually get a female voice actor. This is because an actual young boys voice will go through puberty and deepen which would be an unwanted change their characters voice. Especially if the making of the show takes a while. Its just a trick they use so that the characters can "stay young forever".
This isnt always the case but it is used in many cases.
That’s why I respect phineas and ferb, phineas voice actor went through puberty mid-show, so can hear a difference in his voice throughout the show

My mom told me Edna was voiced by the director of the film because he couldn’t find anyone to do the voice he wanted properly, and kept doing it for them as an example of what he wanted, and ultimately ended up just doing it himself, since he could do it 😆

What's concerning about that?
As far as I've seen, most male characters are portrayed by men(exceptions being Naruto, Goku, Monkey D Luffy, etc) and it's more common for women to portray men when they are meant to be androgynous. Same with most female characters too, I assume.
Most male and female child characters are portrayed by women with a few cases of male sex accuracy(one famous example for me is the male voice actor for Gen in Barefoot Gen who voiced him as a child and teenager).
