I know many people that are in relationships or married and aren't happy in their relationship but don't want to break up with their boyfriend or girlfriend, divorce their Husband or Wife because they don't want to be single and alone again. So they put themselves through the mental & emotional drama to stay with that person for the sake of being in a relationship or being married.
Exactly!!! Most people afraid being alone because they're suffering from autophobia

First of all you two are very good talkers and come up with some great advice for people and still keep it 100% real!! Love your podcast!!
I recently watched your father’s documentary “Sly” on Netflix!! My father was a big fan of your father!! Probably even more so after watching First Blood! My father was a Vietnam Vet 1st Air Commando in the Air Force! Very much like your father’s portrayal of John Rambo, my father’s actual job was getting POW’s out of prison camps!! I can’t imagine how many people’s lives have been changed or how many families have been formed because of what my father did in the military! My father passed away in January of 2023! Your father said something in his documentary that hit me right in the heart, brought me to tears because he was spot on. He said,”We don’t see our heroes die, before our eyes”!! “That there’s always some mystical quality about them”!!
This is the most accurate way I could describe the moment my father passed away.
My father was on a ventilator, his breathing tube was removed at 1320 on January 19th. and a morphine drip was started (just to keep him comfortable) Nine hours almost to the minute my father fought. All day there were signs of him holding on. My family gathered in his room around him telling stories and just remembering happy memories/moments. Around 1930 I went home to put my daughters to sleep and eat something. Around 2145 we headed back to the hospital. I spoke briefly with my sister and she informed me he was being moved to a private room in a different part of the hospital.
Upon arriving I was in the lobby of the hospital and a staff member passed me and went upstairs in the elevator. We made our way upstairs and were told where to go to his room. Upon entering the room, the same staff member that passed me in the lobby was talking to my sister. He then turned to me and told me that a few moments before they arrived in the room, he had passed! It was 2219
Point being is that your father’s statement is absolutely correct!! We don’t see our heroes die! My father slipped away while no one was paying attention!! The nurse on duty had stopped my mother and sister just to introduce herself and to let them know she was there for whatever they needed. I was on my way up! During that little distraction he slipped out!! You two always talk about how spot on you father is with things! That’s the good and bad experience of life talking!!! Obviously he’s been on both sides!! Sorry for the small noval!!!

I will tell you the same thing i told my daughters. People are only staring at you because you are beautiful and in your case because of who your family is. So next time you are any were walk to that bathroom like you're on the runway. Own that beauty that you were given.
You mentioned on an episode that someone wrote a beauty/ fashion article about you both. So own the fact you are extremely beautiful. And do not let any orher human take that a way from you.
I tell both my daughters this all the time. I have also told them never act dumb or stay silent because you need to know your worth in life not just to a man. My daughters are 21 and 24. That is why i watch the podcast to help me understand the young women of today to help my daughters when they ask me anything. Thanks
what makes you think that these 2 are any type of example of young women today? Owning your beauty is healthy but I doubt that is their problem- using your beauty to manipulate men, people and situations might make you feel powerful in the short term but in the long term you reap what you sow and you will just end up feeling empty and alone

When you admire a celebrity / Comedian for like most of your life, dealing with loss is hard. Richard Lewis passed away today at 76. He was on " Curb Your Enthusiasm ". So many incredible stand up comedy shows, tv talk show appearances. It's hard dealing with loss , people you admire, you love their body of work never getting a chance to meet them.
Just maybe a topic you can talk about on the next Podcast.

That was the strangest episode yet
I was like wtf happened , they normally drop on Sunday nights.
Wonder what happened?
the primary reason/s people get divorced is that they don't get to know the person they're marrying (they're together for superficial reasons and follow the peer pressure to the altar). after the whirlwind of the falling in love, engagement, marriage, children they wake up one day and realize they're living with someone they don't even know that well. that's why it's more important to vasopressin bond than to oxytocin bond (attach to each other under pressure rather than in the absence of stress [romantic dating]). romantic dates are for people who are already in a relationship - they're a precursor to bonking and not a very good way to get to know someone.
learning the basics of attachment theory is also very helpful. sounds like sistine is avoidant, which means she emotionally distances herself/shadowban-breaks up with the guy first so he can't break up wtih her and they become more anxious when they feel her pulling away. you're not stuck with your pattern in the same way that you're not stuck with your diet, it's just what you've become accustomed to and you'll need to change it up in order to live a more healthy lifestyle/have healthier relationships.
yeah, most guys don't care about the wedding or the romantic dates or pretty much anything where they need to get dressed up.. unless they're not into chicks of course.

I wish I would have married you, Sophia. I have your attitude about marriage. I would totally work on what we blessed each other with. And do anything to protect it. I have been homeless for over a year, and this is not a marriage. I did nothing to her, but she has hit me with a Frappuccino bottle and put stitches in MY head. Then begged me to not tell the hospital what happened. Or to call the police. Me being homeless has to do with the last 3 neighbors stalking me and causing tension in the marriage. Because the police did nothing about it. So, I raged in our home and yelled at them in their home. And of course it got overwhelming to her. I am sorry about this and told her. But she is siding with the neighbors instead of supporting her supposed to be husband handle this.
