The history box was really interesting. Last year we paid off our mortgage (hooray 🎉) and when we received the deeds to the house the information in them was fascinating. The house was built in 1915 and there are birth certificates, marriage certificates, death certificates, letters and all sorts. It really gave me a insight into our homes history. As for what to do with your box, maybe donate to a school that is covering that era in history? Sending love xxx

How interesting the belongs of Mr Gardener, I found a birth certificate in an old book once,and set out to find the family, I did and returned their grandfathers birth certificate and they were really pleased, it took me 2 years , so wasn’t an easy task nut so satisfying xx

I know you probably don’t have time but when you were reading mr gardeners letter etc I thought what a great thing for story time at a infants school showing kids how it was in the “olden days” . I think you’re a natural when it comes to talking to the camera.

Great haul, Carla. I was very moved by that box of letters and other things. It was a snapshot of someone’s life from a bygone time. I wonder if a local museum or library might like to have the box.
