European Route E18 Protected Bike Lane (Oslo, Norway - September 2023)

A bicycle ride in a protected bike lane along European Route E18 in Oslo, Norway (September 2023). Highlights include a two-way protected bike lane, retractable bollards, bike parking, electric buses and a roundabout with a separate path for cyclists.
The ride begins by leaving Rådhusplassen where our previous video ended. We ride Westbound on a protected bike lane beside Nasjonalmuseets bibliotek (National Museum's Library and Archive). At the next intersection we turn left and see retractable bollards and bike parking. After we pass the second row of retractable bollards and turn towards Rv162 we see an electric bus (articulated Solaris Urbino 18.75).
We continue to ride parallel to the Aker Brygge neighbourhood and see examples of wayfinding signs and bus stops with digital displays showing the wait time for the next couple of buses. Next we easily navigate a roundabout with a separate path for cyclists. As we enter the roundabout you can see an Oslo city bike station on the left just behind Skur 13 (Indoor skate park).
The remainder of the ride is along European Route E18 where we see more electric buses, cargo bikes and pass by a pedestrian bridge.
