I live in Indiana and IU football fans have come out of thin air. My close friends and parents are IU fans. They believe they have the best football team in the state. I’m glad Notre Dame got this first round matchup. Let’s go dominate IU and prove them wrong.

Thanks for the cast guys! Always fun and look forward to the weather reports next week. I do have a two points play for you though... 1)
With regard to ND season tickets and who holds them: you don't have to be an alumnus to have them, and different groups of people get access to them in different ways. In fact, I can tell you (because I can name an instance) that at least some sometimes-IU fans hold them, and more than just a few can get at them. Even in my own personal case, I went to ND, but my wife went to IU (!) so we have a common-enough split, I would imagine, but... Parents, Students, Associations, clubs, donors, employees, staff and -tbh some truly odd cases can get access to seasons tickets regardless of where or if they went to school. How the 'other tickets' come about to be available - (shrug) we can only hope they got it right after the last OSU game.
    2)
I suppose a certain amount of arrogance and a perception of your own self worth being inflated are necessary for the head games it takes to be an upper tier P4 Head Coach. Like Karl Urban says about Chris Pine in Star Trek, 'If you're going to ride in the Kentucky Derby, you don't leave your prize stallion in the stable'. Which of the collection of personalities that 'play Head Coach' of each of the 12 contestants in this playoff are 1) The most _overtly_ egotistical (Curt Cignetti is my pick); 2) Most humble (if this is even possible as an attribute), 3) Most annoying (I can't be sure whether it is Sweeny or Dillingham -but I do live in UofA country, so that that might make me...partisan) 4) Most Twitchy (my pick is Freeman, since only a madman chooses a fake punt on his own 26 against USC with the season on the line). Go Irish!

The way Luke describes IU fans is how much of the world thinks of ND fans. That being said, IU fans really didn’t have anything to be excited about in years so I fully expected this reaction to their season. My wife and I both went to IU but are diehard ND fans and will be rooting for ND.

The QB Maiava came from UNLV.. it’s not like he was an elite prospect.. USC lost their top RB and they still dropped 600 yards there’s definitely a concern lol

USC loss to Michigan, I doubt they would beat Indiana. Also many Indiana fans are normally Irish fans, so yes some of them are sure to be obnoxious. I have enjoyed the hubris of the Irish media. However, my engagement with most Irish fans has been positive. It will be interesting to see how Indiana’s run defense fares against the Irish run game(The stats from the OSU game are a little skewed,.OSU only had 75 rushing yards until they broke a 65 yard run when everyone thought they are taking a knee in the final minute). This will also be the best team Notre Dame has faced this season. It should be an exciting game.

@ Well, Notre Dame may very well win, but Indiana is the best team you have played. You can believe that Notre Dame has played a hard schedule, the truth is your schedule is similar to Indiana and in future years will get worse as the TV contracts start to require more ACC, B1G, and SEC crossover games. They could lose USC and Georgia Tech.

Guys I watch the tape on that USC game I'm sorry it wasn't just really good place it was very bad coverage Christian grey had very very bad technique leverage on almost every play to the receiver the receiver had a perfect window every single time to catch the ball and he doesn't understand leverage and you have to understand that if you want to be a good or at least an average corner in this college football league you have to know leverage and he truly did not understand the concept of leverage during that USC game only one play he did during the interception

The average low in SB in late Dec is between 32 and 20, if you’ve never been to a football game in the 20s, I assure you that you’ve never experienced “weather“ like that and there is a 0% chance that it will be “a nice day“ at 8 PM. Invest in gloves, boots and hand warmers or you’re gonna get nerve damage. Also, there was a 28 point swing with those pick 6s, unless ND gets Cross back and the rest of the line has their best game of the year, this is a bad matchup. Their strengths play to ND’s defense’s weaknesses. I don’t care about the name on the helmet, I watched the games and Bama would’ve been a better match up, but hopefully IU can’t get their passing game going

Yes, I would be surprised if Indiana didn’t have a decent crowd. Indiana has the second largest alumni base and many live in Chicago. This is why tickets are going for over 3,000 dollars for lower seats and 1000 dollars for nose bleed seats. I checked last night. I decided to buy an eighty-five inch TV and watch it with friends from Bloomington.
