HI Jason. Thanks for the introduction to one-way data binding here. To declare the product composable, then the DataSource itself really needs to be composable. It's a nice start to show that you can bind to an external source, but as we know, our end users demand standard features as an MVP. Can you do a follow up video with that card container and the cards where you show how to: .Search .Sort .Filter .Handle pagination and infinite scrolling .Break the request for the data into chunks i.e. pagination of record requests .Show how to handle slow data sources i.e. with some kind of loading or spinner control .Handle any simple client side business logic or rules that we often need to implement, like formatting the dates or combining a strings for a user's title and name etc. .Two way databinding - how can the user interact and have sitecore keep track of their interactions i.e. breadcrumb in url, local data storage, postback of interactions for state management of preferences, filters etc .How does tracking work? How do you connect this with Google Analytics for example to see what the user's interactions are .Combining data across multiple data sources. I was recently asked to provide a postcode/geo lookup and then sort the cards by distance. Can you demo something like that please? .Personalization - How do we know which user is interacting with us, and how can we personalize their experience here .Version management - How do we create versions of these pages, and how do we track which versions have the best UI/UX interactions with an A/B test? These are just some of the basic features that product owners and users now expect out of the box, so my question is, can XM Cloud handle this, and if not, what is the roadmap and timescale for such features?
Thanks for the comment Matthew! These are great ideas for things to show in coming videos on how developers and business users can meet various needs with different parts of XM Cloud. I'll chat with the team and see if we can get some of these into content over the coming months!
Just a suggestion, but maybe this video needs to be archived or updated as the interface is no longer up to date as there is now a FEaSS and a separate Components tab.
Good point! We are doing more updated videos right now, and even today's screens are probably going to change in the next few months as the SaaS products are constantly evolving. We don't tend to take down videos when the visuals become out of date, but we'll make sure to bring back more XM Cloud Components content with the latest updates.
Jason just casually dunking from the free throw line.
Really powerful stuff there Jason, thx!
Thanks Anderson!

@@JasonStCyr Cool - that's great, appreciate the team taking the time to engage with developers at the coal face
