I would suggest "Murder mystery of Reporter" by Jaiprakash Jha. It's a wonderful book to read in the mystery detective genre, a must-read for mystery lovers by Agatha Christie. Unlike normal crime thriller this book doesn't focus on brutality of the crime but it focuses on the mystery.
Gone Girl is really such a great book. Even without any lovable characters , the plot and writing carried the whole book on its back . Its one of my fav thrillers

I've a bittersweet experience with Gone Girl! I actually loved almost the whole book but the ending really bothered me! I wasn't really expecting that, and maybe that's why I love the book because author didn't really gives you what you'd really want! If this makes any sense XD

You know what when you were reading The Orient Express ..and used to put in ur stories ..I was really eager to read it ...and my elder brother has already watched that movie (he loves watching thriller,crime and horror movies specially hollywood) ..I was just talking to him and said that 'I want to read this book and gonna order it' and he instantly said that 'I have watched this movie and this this happens in the climax' and tells me the whole story ..I was like What the Hell ...and the same happened with 'The Gone Girl' last year ...and at that time I was reading it and had it with myself ..and was half way through it although it was difficult for me to read it as a beginner but I tried hard..and I had to keep that book because of his spoilers...So moral of the story is ..I must pick a thriller or Crime book on which a movie has not been made..🤨😕 . And I think, I am gonna pick up 'I Am I Am I Am' It seems very interesting to me ..BTW great recommendations..
