Years ago my GF and I were staying a weekend at Foxwoods Casino in CT and attended Bette's concert that night. Happened to bump into when she was checking in. I didn't want to bother her, but I couldn't help myself, so I casually approached, carting my overnight bag and said "Thank you for coming ... and I'm Rick," She seemed surprised that I was thanking her, shook my hand, and as the attendant approached, she asked if I was attending her concert and I replied: "absolutely! You're the reason why my GF and I are here!" With that, the attendant guided her to the elevators and she waved and said "see you tonight." We had second-row seats directly in front of the stage, and we expected a great concert and did. Midway through the concert, Bette was use about to begin a song and --- out of the blue, she looks down at me and gives a sight little wave and --- says "Hi, Rick." Everyone starts looking at me for a mini-second and what could I do but give a slight wave back at her. What a weekend!
This film reminds me a bit of the board game, "Clue" that I played in the '80s with my friends!. Great scenes, and a great cast. Just love this song; I'm going to be singing it in my head all day. Really enjoyed this, Craig! 5****.
I do not know the movie, but thanks to YT and some friends including you Craig, I learned to admire Bette Midler! A great artist no doubt! Great voice and beautiful music! A beautiful work! Hugs!
@Ed Miller Perkins and Sondheim wrote two more screenplays that were never made. They were quite the power couple. This film was released just a few months before he married Berry Berenson.

Class act.
One of my favorite movies
My favourite whodunnit movie. Bette Midler’s Friends as the end credits song was clearly most fitting.

Anthony Perkins? The same that we saw on Psyho? Was he a writer? What other books did he write? Super video.

What is.
