Hi, looks like you are good at this game. Give me some tips on how to pass it faster. I recorded a video of this game on my channel. I will be grateful for the advice.
@@koalatysleepholy shit, that ruined my day. I’ve waited for a year to get better than I even looked passed the 50 percent positive reviews (that lasted a whole year) and looked up reviews, guess I’m gonna wait even more
I think this game will become a underrated niche if the developers put more time in it. I’d say it will even be the best of its kind in another 6 months, but sadly it’s never gonna be mainstream bc of the horrible release and waiting a yr for the game to become that gem.
It's not gonna happen unless they completely rework the progression. Right now I refuse to play because I'm actively being hindered even to try out new combinations, how am I supposed to have fun if I can't even decide which build to try out but I'm forced by their stupid RNG?
6 months is very optimistic. I'd say 1.5-2 years for it to be in a very good state such that we will start seeing youtube videos praising how fun is the game (that is, if Fatshark focus on it and start listening more to the community).
I mean vermintide 2 had the same circumstances when it first released. But after years of it being out, it's now beloved. Same thing can happen with darktide.
The gameplay of darktide was amazing from day one. Unfortunately the systems to create communities and keep players around just never materialized. Is a shame because gameplay wise, it's probably my favorite co-op game of all time and its fully realized hybrid combat is groundbreaking.
I'm clocking 900+ hours on Vermintide and "only" 260 hours on Darktide. I can tell you that Darktide has too many issues right now and some of them can't go away for the simple reason they are tied up with the core game. No matter how much content they are going to release, they effed' up pretty bad some aspects of the game, but I must give them credit that they nailed everything about presentation and feel... But that's about all the pros I can find. 1) lack of content: too few classes, too few talents, weapons feels too samey or are too repetetive to use. The lack of weapons with inverted attack patterns is felt, because you just need to learn heavy attack and dodge and that's about it: nothing more to learn or be careful. What I mean by that is that in Vermintide the are a few weapons with very unique attack or patterns, for instance the two handed hammer has light attacks for single target heavy damage and heavy attacks for horde light damage: it feels very different and helps to let every weapon feel different. 2) lack of story and purpose: no bosses, no memorable maps, absolutely nothing that makes me say "yeah, I love playing this map" or "be careful, my newbie friend: a boss will charge out from that door" or "I love the banters triggered here" 3) absolutely joke of progression and crafting: crafting prevents you from trying new build by locking out the other choices and you can't cash out or scrap useless/unused weapons to power up or boost the gear you are interested in. If RNJesus say no, say goodbye to the previous hours of game for absolutely no reward or progression to a reward. 4) class balancing: Psyker has been nerfed to the ground (even the few loadouts that were capable of actually do something at higher level of difficulties), veteran still has the best I-can-do-everything loadouts.

No the devs at fatshark are lazy you cant tell me theyve "put in a hell of a shift" if they put there nose to grindstone (keyboard) they could have already been successful
@@sorina9130 no one in this thread argued that their launch record was clean. But calling their development work "lazy," is ironically lazy. It comes down to game direction. I think their director struggles with game polish and game loop design. I hate that they prioritize releasing a title, over polishing; sadly, many developers are guilty of this. They deserve a lot of criticism for that. However, this type of work, and the concepts they've created are anything but lazy; it's poor phrasing from the original commentator.
It's still fun, played on launch till now. It still gives me the thrill playing as Psyker and Ogryn, I challenge myself every now and then by making new characters, deleting the old, and running it all over again. It's a bit better, not the best, or better than Vermintide 2. Yet, it will be worth your time for trying.
I played darktide quite alot when it came to the Xbox game pass, got me into Warhammer a little bit. I never had any performance issues or anything but stopped playing to wait for new content. Should I pick it back up? Do people still even really play it?
I just gave it a shot after abandoning it at launch. I can't tell a difference other than crashing less often. I guess you can sort of just barely play dress up now. Oh boy the excitement.
It's funny how every time when new game appears, some "streamer/vlogger" starts making videos about it (how GOOD it is and ect.). You are either developer or paid by them. Smart gamers will ignore your channel. And trust me, it is REALLY easy to see when REAL streamer/gamer makes videos, or/and when someone paid by corporation tries to do same thing. Cheers!
This is so cringy, what the hell are you on about mate? "real" streamer, who the hell talks like that? You sound like a tween; if you are one, don't worry too much about it. I'm sure we were all this cringy at that age, hopefully, you'll grow out of it.
so long as that mobile games dev lead is taking the helm and they focus more on the console port than polishing the game and weekly resetting the servers? no fatshark with darktide, has an egotistical chip on their shoulder. they're refusing to listen to what players want, what modes we want and enjoy, what balance we enjoy, and think they know what's best for the community more than the community does. if they keep that up, they're dead. there's a reason other coop shooters GAINED players during the summer sale and darktide lost MORE
This game needed 15 missions minimum to survive. Also have content worth grinding for like unlocking a ton of armor. Instead we got like what 5 maps and most armies have been locked behind a paywall 🤦♂️. Only fat shark could fuck up this bad. Only good 40k shooter is space marine 1 and the moment which is sad. Guess space marine 2 is going to have to put 40k realm on its back again.
Gamepass player, won't touch it until they make it a true multiplayer game. Game is a ghost town on GP. Segmenting your playerbase and not including crucial social elements like friending is just insanity. They shouldn't have launched in that state. With the wealth of promising game titles coming this fall, they are likely screwed.
"The game isn't perfect" what a silly, silly, SILLY thing to say. No game is perfect, nothing is, so what's the point to create a requirement that EVERY game fulfills? It's like saying "This game won't sexually assault your children", yeah, no videogame does or can. Why would you create a fake "pro" to the game you're talking about? Sounds like a distraction to avoid saying the game simply isn't good or up to other games.
there are innumerable problems with this game, and this comes from someone who loves this game btw. why is the ogryn worse at melee than the zealot? hell, why is he worse at it than even the veteran? why cant the veterans feat that makes their main weapon reload when activated not work when the plasma gun is equipped? why hasn't there been any new content besides just new challenges like having hordes of specific shocktroops? why does psyker feel the least powerful? imo and most people's, the psyker should easily be the most powerful because of the lore. yet they're this extremely fragile and barely powerful enough class to survive on their own. why is it that if you have a full squad that's full of 1 class and you have them run a heresy mission together that the only one that truly struggles and might outright fail if everyone isn't amazing at playing the class is the psyker? I can keep going, this is just problems that are the most annoying to me that I'm reminded of everytime I play within the first 5 minutes.
Gameplay wise I completely disagree with you. The gameplay of darktide blows every other horde game out of the water. With that being said all of the systems surrounding that core gameplay are woefully undeveloped. I can't believe you still can't rejoin a game with your previous team after finishing a map.

Starship Troopers: Extermination in it's super early build is 100 times more fun than Darktide after half a year of fixes. Darktide is dead, even Vermintide 2 has bigger playerbase.
darktide is one of those games that makes you think, "are these devs fucking stupid?", on a regular basis. i've been playing on and off for about a month thanks to a free trial of game pass, and holy hell, i'm SO glad i didn't buy this at any point previously lol i really don't get why devs feel the need to copy l4d's formula and enemy archetype, either. if you're gonna try, at least copy killing fllor lol that is a far superior horde game in every way, and despite vermintide being better than this heap of shit, killing floor is still better than vermintide as well. fatshark should have just "borrowed" gameplay elements from killing floor instead. just swap out the mid-level weapon upgrades for a crafting system and character progression, and this game would have been incredible. instead, we get some unfinished, sub-par ld4 wannabe with some of the laziest, shittiest cosmetics i have ever seen lol
I agree with you in terms of gameplay. In my opinion it's the best gameplay of any co-op horde game that's ever existed. But I definitely disagree with you on all of the community/progression aspects of the game.(I don't particularly care about progression but I understand why some people do) In co-op games allowing players to create and maintain relationships in the community is paramount to keeping players engaged in the long run. Darktide completely and utterly dropped the ball in this respect.
@@Dave-dl6ql The game was $40 and you aren't forced to buy any of the content what are you talking about? There are things to criticize darktide over, but having to pay for skins is way down the list on the things this game needs to fix.

I mean you still had others but i run various builds in verm and darktide (need a much of work) yet both camps of there are and there are no builds just saying that they don't give a shit and staying at the point of their own experience. Getting the right gear is now much easier, i don't need to see Ranald's middle finger 40 times just to get 5 pieces of equipment which i don't need to craft 1 that i need (probably untill next update). 2 missions to get 3-4 pieces from arsenal and 3-4 missions to max one you think is best for you, it's that dead simple (you can get +30% ordo coins or whatewer the shit they are by your accessory), they can be a bit more generous with recourses but i already have all equip i need on 4 chars after ~100 hours so now recourses just hoarding. You might not get the greatest one so just keep to the best you got, with time you'll find you got what you needed. Cosmetics shop the same they had in verm 2, they just reused it, but now you can't get premium currency for free which is sad. I can't translate penace meaning right now, weapon perks some good some bad, need work indeed. Achievements some are grindy but easier than verm 2, don't care can't say. I love all three games.

It still gives me the thrill playing as Psyker and Ogryn, I challenge myself every now and then by making new characters, deleting the old, and running it all over again.
It's a bit better, not the best, or better than Vermintide 2. Yet, it will be worth your time for trying.
Can you play solo yet?
Vermintide 2 has new content
I played darktide quite alot when it came to the Xbox game pass, got me into Warhammer a little bit. I never had any performance issues or anything but stopped playing to wait for new content. Should I pick it back up? Do people still even really play it?
I played a dozen hours at launch but now am waiting till it's good
Darktide players are very similar to people who play Fallout 76 in how infantile and high on the copium they are.
Chill tf out. Atleast darktide is fun
I just gave it a shot after abandoning it at launch. I can't tell a difference other than crashing less often. I guess you can sort of just barely play dress up now. Oh boy the excitement.
It’s got way less to do than vermintide which is a shame since it’s a 6 year old game
Can I play solo or do I have to queue with others?
just give it a few more updates (hopefully) and only play with friends, then yes its a good game
subclasses are in roadmap but when? no idea
Schizophrenic ramble. It is the UA-cam algorithm that makes creators float up when a new game comes out
When will be released this update which include crosspalyng with Xbox Gamespass owners?
so long as that mobile games dev lead is taking the helm and they focus more on the console port than polishing the game and weekly resetting the servers? no
fatshark with darktide, has an egotistical chip on their shoulder. they're refusing to listen to what players want, what modes we want and enjoy, what balance we enjoy, and think they know what's best for the community more than the community does.
if they keep that up, they're dead. there's a reason other coop shooters GAINED players during the summer sale and darktide lost MORE
They Should add moar enemies and maps should be longer Like Vermintides maps
Great idea, instead of every mission being 3 generic points defence, let's make them 4!
It was fun for most of the time i played it, but lets just say I'm glad i was just playing on gamepass
Mean while my console homies can’t even play the game😔
This game needed 15 missions minimum to survive. Also have content worth grinding for like unlocking a ton of armor. Instead we got like what 5 maps and most armies have been locked behind a paywall 🤦♂️. Only fat shark could fuck up this bad. Only good 40k shooter is space marine 1 and the moment which is sad. Guess space marine 2 is going to have to put 40k realm on its back again.
I play the table top, so ill put up with alot of jank lol so i really like it idk.
I played Fallout 76 and that was awful at Launch, I will give Darktide a chance. (When it comes out on console)
They are probably gearing up for console too.
Why isn’t this on console
Have they added controller vibration yet? I'm a pad player due to an injury. Gameplay felt hollow with no vibration when shooting etc.
Darktide or Vermintide?
Vermin 1 & 2
Vermintide is a miles better game somehow
Cant you just add people in steam?
The gameplay is super fun. I love killing mobs in this game with my ogryn.
Content is poor tho.
there are innumerable problems with this game, and this comes from someone who loves this game btw.
why is the ogryn worse at melee than the zealot? hell, why is he worse at it than even the veteran?
why cant the veterans feat that makes their main weapon reload when activated not work when the plasma gun is equipped?
why hasn't there been any new content besides just new challenges like having hordes of specific shocktroops?
why does psyker feel the least powerful? imo and most people's, the psyker should easily be the most powerful because of the lore. yet they're this extremely fragile and barely powerful enough class to survive on their own.
why is it that if you have a full squad that's full of 1 class and you have them run a heresy mission together that the only one that truly struggles and might outright fail if everyone isn't amazing at playing the class is the psyker?
I can keep going, this is just problems that are the most annoying to me that I'm reminded of everytime I play within the first 5 minutes.
turn up your mic
Better than launch? Yes. As good as VT2 or literally dozens of horde game alternatives? No.
Gameplay wise I completely disagree with you. The gameplay of darktide blows every other horde game out of the water.
With that being said all of the systems surrounding that core gameplay are woefully undeveloped. I can't believe you still can't rejoin a game with your previous team after finishing a map.
@@StrengthScholar0 lets not believe that the game is good its not good for your health people the game is shit it needs overall big changes to the base game thin the new stuff with it I'm as fair as I can get if you want me to go hard fine 4 classs lame all of them voice acting is boring makes ethen fromRE7 AND8 look great music is shit i only heard 3 good ones the specials are stupid you cant even tell witch one is sometimes no nose or music to tell us boss are the worse in this one only nurgle thing and the spawn witch from vermintide btw the maps makes me sick mentally and ask why there all the same and i wont say a thing about its late game store shop or the crating that based on luck only and remember the characters in vermintide feel like real people just like left for dead 40k as co op wont work unless you break the roles of the lore for the game sake no one cares about the nerds who play teabletop that is why this one is a shadow of what vermintide is and its amazing replay value you can get this game meant to be even better thin vermintide but its not even close its sad and disappointing
@@StrengthScholar0 While having a good core gameplay look is imperative, when virtually every other system in the game is terrible the game is holistically worse than both its competitors and predecessors.
I prefer darktides gameplay over vt2. Wracking mobs over the head with a hammer is fun, but I'd rather gun them down.
i just started playing this on game pass… is it normal for people to be so fucking stupid at lvl 30? lol
This game is amazing...only people who need the crust cut off their sandwiches by their mothers complain about this game.
Please continue to enjoy being a cashcow for greedy companies!
@@Dave-dl6ql Ill continue having tons of fun with the best co op gameplay to come out on PC gaming so far. Thanks.
I agree with you in terms of gameplay. In my opinion it's the best gameplay of any co-op horde game that's ever existed. But I definitely disagree with you on all of the community/progression aspects of the game.(I don't particularly care about progression but I understand why some people do)
In co-op games allowing players to create and maintain relationships in the community is paramount to keeping players engaged in the long run. Darktide completely and utterly dropped the ball in this respect.
@@Dave-dl6ql
The game was $40 and you aren't forced to buy any of the content what are you talking about? There are things to criticize darktide over, but having to pay for skins is way down the list on the things this game needs to fix.
@@StrengthScholar0 I never mentioned skins in my comment, and don’t know why you thought I was saying that they were high up in the list of darktide’s problems. Look at the guy’s comment again, then read my response if you missed the context somehow.
This game is like 5x worse than vermintide
Just like vermin 2 was to vermin 1. People who says shit like "this game is worse then vermintide 2" doesn't remember what an unbalanced piece of shit was that game at the start, we had Sienna talking Bardin's replic for a year.
@@ffs-forfunsake6474 did vermintide 2 also have shit difficulty at the start? No subclasses? Trash penace system? Gacha lvl of gambling to get the gear you want? Cosmetics focus?
@@eutiger4789 They were changing skill trees, difficulty and enemy spawns many times was pretty busy at the time so can't say how much times exactly i can recall 3-4 skill tree revamps. Subclasses was in the position where people mostly played meta (pyromancer, headhunter, saltz zealot, shade(times of grim giving power)), 80% of time you had them and then there's other profs who just there, sometimes (not you witch hunter or battle wizard or mercenary(my main for some time)) it took some years to figure out greatness we now have (unchain still op).
And yeah at beta verm 2 had absolutely unbalanced builds and a lot of placeholders such as wrong voicelines which was pretty funny at the time but some took a bit too long to fix
It's a weak game, Left for Dead with SciFi Graphics, nothing more... Rating: 10 Meh. out of 10.... Zzzzzz Adds nothing new to this style of FPS 'horde' combat simulators.
Did they fix the performance on PC yet
