My copy arrived this afternoon. I was fortunate enough to meet Mr. Cooke at a convention and get signatures and small doodles in my books. I hung around his table for a good hour just chatting. He was one of the more fun creators I've met. And very cool. He wore a smoking jacket all day. Really.
Had this book in my hands yesterday & didn’t pull the trigger. Thank you for making me regret NOT getting it. Seriously, thank you for your time & your efforts in making sharing your thoughts & insights on such a lovely book. Respect!
Love Darwyn Cooke. New Frontier, Batman Ego, Selina’s Big Score. Beautiful. Definitely getting this. Really looking forward to Catwoman Of East End Omnibus.

I got the original editions. I get sad every time I look at them because they look so nice all together and I'm reminded we were suppose to get 7 volumes instead of only 4.
Thanks for this vid! I was totally unaware of Cooke and just now found out he did the Batman animated series into! I really dig that 60's mod style and era. I don't know if you take requests, but have you ever thought about doing Lucky Luke? (Maybe you already have). Anyway, thanks for the regularly scheduled videos!
in the discussion reprinted in the edition the Dunbier, Brubaker & .... talk quite a bit about Cooke's involvement in animation. Nope, never made a proper Lucky Luke video... but I did a video about my fave european wild western comics (don't ask me about the number of that one but you'll figure it out) ... can't remember how long I spoke about LL but it was in there for sure.
I only can imagine how it would be if the comic was in the format of the pics min 18 , but then he would have spend few years to make a vol, he would be right up there with rosinski
Moin, moin Milan. Auf diese Vorstellung habe ich ja gewartet. Endlich kann ich mir mal ein etwas genaueres Bild von Parker machen und ich muss sagen, ich bin absolut begeistert. Vor allem deine wunderschöne Ausgabe im Schuber ist absolut nicht zu toppen. Die "Martini Edition" ist mit Band eins der Gesamtausgabe in Deutschland bei S & L erschienen und kostet dort knapp 50 €. Leider machen die keine genauen Angaben zu Ausstattung und reden nur von "Prachtband". Hast du da evtl. nen Vergleich? Ansonsten würde ich nämlich versuchen die englische Ausgabe in absehbarer Zeit zu bekommen... Gruß Carsten. Und Danke für die Vorstellung.
Ich hab die deutsche Ausgabe nicht persönlich gesehen, aber ich denke die muss kleiner sein... ich halt ja an einer Stelle im Video ein Lucky Luke-Album daneben - vielleicht ist das eine Hilfe. Wie gesagt: mein Exemplar habe ich für 83 Euro oder so bei Walt's Comics in Berlin gekauft... ist bei ihm aber schon ausverkauft. Und wie gesagt: Ich würde zunächst versuchen Volume 1 zu schießen...
@@DerReverendNA Die deutsche Ausgabe ist 28 cm gross und die englische Martini-Edition oder auch Absolute Edition ist dagegen 35 cm hoch. Ich hab Band 1 der englischen Martini-Edition: Die englische Ausgabe ist im Gegensatz zur deutschen Ausgabe im Schuber und wohl um einiges "luxeriöser" als die deutsche Ausgabe. Allerdings auch um einiges teurer. Der Comictuber "German Comic Books" hat in einem seiner Videos die deutsche Ausgabe vorgestellt. Guck doch da mal rein. Ansonsten - wenn Geld keine Rolle spielt:-) - kauf die englische Ausgabe. Solltest du ohne Probleme mit dem Schulenglisch, das man so gelernt hat, verstehen können:-)

Nope, never made a proper Lucky Luke video... but I did a video about my fave european wild western comics (don't ask me about the number of that one but you'll figure it out) ... can't remember how long I spoke about LL but it was in there for sure.
