Hey Everyone, thanks for watching this video! If you want to see how I style Blow Dried Hair, check out my Stretched Braidout Tutorial: ua-cam.com/video/Uz6UJ36GE_A/v-deo.html
I have natural hair and tried the blow drying routine every two weeks after my wash day. When I tell you, my hair has gotten thicker and longer than I have ever seen it!😀 but also, I noticed that my hair tended to be more dry. So now, I alternate between wash and goes, blow drying and braiding my hair. Over all, there are great benefits to using a blow drying routine. Love your hair and great video!❤
Hey, thanks so much for watching and leaving a comment! It’s amazing how much stretched hair prevents breakage! I’m glad you found a routine that works for you and helps you get the maximum benefit.
I can agree having hair in a stretched state helps with maintenance. I tend to braid my hair while damp, and when I take it down in the morning I use a blowdryer to stretch it to where it still has a little bit of texture, but mostly stretched out. I braid with a light cream or a little grease at night to keep it stretched. It cut down significantly on single strand knots. I don’t do wash and go’s anymore. Stretching hair does help with retention in the long run
I’m also a blowed dried natural as of this year. I restarted my journey for about the 4th time lol in 2022. Although I’ve been natural since 2012, I’ve cut my hair every 2 to 3 years. But not cutting it again. I don’t enjoy styling my hair wet as I did in the past and I’ve been more comfortable wearing it out.
I’m glad you found your groove with wearing your hair stretched! It really was an eye opening experience and I’m surprised that I don’t see as much content about it. Typically when I naturals with straight hair on the regular, it’s relaxed or heat “trained”. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!
Isn’t it the bomb?! It takes me about 30-45 minutes to stretch it, but to get it straight it’s about an hour for me so it was a big shift from my normal routine.
Oooooo this is what i am….well a stretched natural. Every style i do starts on a rollerset or blow dried hair, and must last for at least 14 days with no additional styling…if i work out i need to be able to sit under a drier or blow dry my roots without a bunch of manipulation and maintain the style. Once i figured these things out my hair has flourished. I do…. Mini twists Rollersets Rollerset with flat ironed roots Flexirods I want to get to the point where i rollerset to do EVERYTHING, but i haven’t found products that get my hair completely dry in an hour or less so pending lol. If i ever got a rev air i would totally do styling technique. It looks like a stretched wash n go.
I have been setting my hair which does a great job straightening it. My hair is so much better straightened. However, I can't do anything with my hair when it is hot but wear it curly.
Yes I do! I like to use a cream to braid or twist my hair, let it set overnight, then take it out the next morning. The Revair is amazing, right?! Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.
I recently incorporated silicone into my hair routine and it has been a game changer. I’m using the ORS Olive Oil Heat Protectant and it helps keep my hair from reverting when blow dried and from getting too frizzy curly. It is water soluble silicone as well so it washes out with sulfate free shampoo. I’ll post about it soon, but I hope that helps!
Hey thanks for watching and leaving a comment! My jacket is from Marshalls. Being a Blow Dried Natural could work for you since you already wash once per week, but it could be a considerable amount of time and manipulation each week if you’re planning to use a traditional blow dryer vs. something like the Revair. Maybe it could be something you try in cooler seasons so there can be more time between washes. Lol so much experimenting on this natural hair journey 😅
Hi! I use all three products you mentioned with it and have not had any issues. The key is not having the hair be dripping wet or too oversaturated with product when putting it into the Revair. In my experience it has never dried my hair out and I always finish wash day with moisture. I will be dropping a video about a week in my natural hair where I show what products I apply before using the Revair, so keep a look out for that! Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.

You are so pretty and your hair is GORGEOUS. Nice to see natural beauty without the caked on makeup.❤

I totally agree! At this point, allowing my hair to shrink is not an option, it’s just too much hassle. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!
@ no problem ! And I hope more natural ladies accept heat more. It’s all in how you use it !

You look great. So nice to see a young lady with natural hair and makeup.
Thanks for the compliment, Claudia! We appreciate you watching and leaving a comment.
I’ve never taken longer than 25-30 mins using the RevAir 👀. I love it

Sounds like you’ve got a nice routine! Yes the revair is suuuper clutch especially since it’s no tension on the hair and has lower top heat.
Where you lost me: “It takes an extra hour to do my wash day….something something, something”…fades into the distance…
Girl it was a lot 😩 Between my density and needing to get my hair straight, I was like “this isn’t sustainable” 😂🤣

I totally understand, this heat is no joke! Thanks for watching and leaving a comment 🩵
Question - after you blow dry what do you do? You then do a twist out? Braid out? I have a rev air also and love it!

I’ve been doing this too but I feel like when I do perm rods or other heatless styles, it doesn’t last. Any tips?

Your jacket is sooo cute!! Where is it from? Love the video btw! I've been contemplating being a blow dry natural but I wash every week.

Does the RevAir dry out the hair and can you use leave-in, creams or sealants with it?
