That’s not how you use a diffuser 😤 i did my hair like this 10 yrs ago in high school. It’s coming back now, but you are supposed to put your hair in the diffuser to get the scrunch look. Latinas started this wayyyyyyyy back. Just how we used to straighten our hair with la plancha (the iron ).
He deliberately used it like that because if he put the hair directly in the diffuser it would make it too big or too curly. He specifically used it the way he did to keep the loose, wavy texture. I watched another video and someone said the same thing. Moreover, he’s a hair dresser. I’m sure he knows how to use a diffuser the normal way, lol
