- Offroad Ontario's XC series Round 4 at Cochrane's put on by NTR.
Another big XC turnout with 323 registered racers.
Despite a strong start I fell back and was p11/18 in Vet 50B and p119/162 overall after the first lap.

I got a glimpse of you and that bike on the first lap. Very intrigued in the platform……..have you ever run out of battery at an event yet? what the hell is that????? Also thanks for not breaking my leg at 5:37 :)
I've pulled more than a few gassers out of the bush trails at MotoPark with fouled plugs, overheated engines, and no gas and I haven't been stuck out on a trail yet. The display clearly shows exactly how much charge is remaining, and I think the bike goes into "limp" mode around 10%.
I have a second battery that I swap out sometime after the first hour at the XC races. On most most courses at race pace I burn 1% per minute. At this race I swapped out at the end of the 3rd lap with 27% left in the tank.

I was probably more panicked about breaking your leg than you were at the time, I doubt you heard me coming. I wasn't expecting you to put your foot out right then, and I didn't have much room on your right to work with.
Hmmmm you had sold until battery swap…. If only you could go 50+ K at pace on stock battery… Did you go with the optional 21/18 wheels?
A 21" front would have definitely helped me in spots where it wanted to knife or wash out.
I picked up a KKE 21/18 wheel set a few weeks ago, just waiting for the really light IRC ve-33 and ve-35f tires to come in stock in Canada.
