Excited for you man! I just released my very first one last Saturday and oh man, the feeling of sharing my work in physical book form has been unbelievable. Looking forward to it!
Chris, thank you for continuing to make deep dive videos on the artistry of photography. I learn a lot every time, and its those nuances that I find harder to learn then the purely technical aspects of the art form. It was dope seeing you shoot with Mike Gray and his crew, you're both amazing artists in this medium, excited to see more of your work as you continue your journey, much love from a fellow photographer!!
That a new preceptive for black and white, changed my mind actually and made me think of a new "not completely new" way to present my work and my vision. great topic, thank you!
It's really different when you try to shoot in B&W. It's like you need to activate your B&W eye instead of your normal everyday vision. Amazing video 🔥
This is a few month old video and not sure if you are still looking at the comments @chris , but when you show pictures if possible it would be very helpful to see what camera / lens / film if possible. I see some of these beautiful photos and wonder if I can get the detail on cameras I have or if they are out of scope because of the resolution isn't there.
How do u feel about, taking colored photos, and turning it into black and white in post? That’s what I do. I have a Fuji xt 3 so I feel like turning it into bw takes away the film simulations side of things. But that’s just my opinion. I like options so I do the post production editing if needed. Sorry if that was confusing.
I understand where you are coming from. B&W in my opinion is a type of film where it can tell a story in the photo and it can be made the main focus of the photo. With color, it has the capability of telling a story but can be dismissed by the color of the photo. Color can be used for the True color and beauty of the photo.
I'm excited to release this photobook
Me too bru👻🤘
@@apdisatar6630 thanks for the support!

Gotta start the week of right. Monday morning drop!!! 🙌🏾
YESSIR! Captain Mike Gray, sir!
I've always loved shooting in black & white! Up till now, I could never put into words why I shoot in b&w but you explained it so well.
it's truly underrated! I'm glad you already loved creating that way!

The intro to this video SLAPS. Where the questions articulate the difference way more than a bland 2min explanation ever could.
for some reason, I totally agree with you. Awesome Work, as always !
Glad to hear it!
Thank you! Love your videos and your tips/teaching.

composition does change when the photo is intended to be taken in B&W

Now im more interested in shooting in black and white. Love seeing the deep dive videos brother
Five minutes in and my brain is howling. I hope you make a deep dive into each of these ideas.
I love getting nerdy into concepts like this :D

personally i always turn my picture b&w if the colors are overwhelming, and so far it works well.
I do that too in weddings. If there are too many mixed lighting temperatures (tungsten w/ daylight), I throw that puppy in BnW.

oh dang that last part "but can be dismissed by the color of the photo" is so good
Loved this, felt that 'class is in session' vibe
thank you! I enjoy making information more concise + digestible
Mate! Great video! Thanks! Another string to add to my own photographic bow
Happy to help!
These video are always fire 🔥
Glad you like them!
Very well made video once again!
Thank you, my friend!!
Great vid!
Black and white is pretty poggers
B&W POG Champ
I mean we could combine both but gate keepers hate "sElEtctIVE cOloR" when that's not even how you blended images...
I was actually a lover of bnw until I met the ccd of my M9.
oooooo I gotta try a CCD sensor! I heard great things about the M9 (and it's corroded sensor, but everyone is replacing them so it's fine now)
I paid a LOT to have it changed just before they stopped making them. So mine is considered ‘new’ You SHOULD give it a try!
