The Artti T10 is anything but bland. I A/B’d em with my S12 Pro and it beat them hands down. Better sub bas rumble. Better mid bass impact and definition. More natural mids and treble with equal technical performance. And less planar sheen. It’s just a better, more natural sounding set.
So say one goes out and picks up a higher end IEM like the Monarch mk3 or U4s. Is there enough in an IEM like the NiceHCK F1 Pro to warrant a purchase or should we not even bother because the more expensive IEM is already on another level?

The plan was to get an endgame (at least for me) level iem which would tick all my boxes so I wouldn't be tempted to pick up multiple iems through the year. Whilst I haven't been tempted by any new iems so far, I'm just wondering if a affordable iem like the NiceHCK can stand out from the pack enough to warrant a look in to, or would my Mk3 still wipe the floor with them. 😊
Hey Timmy, I've played around with the graphs on squiglink and I've noticed that with just a couple of filters you can bring this pretty close to something like the Kato, which I really like the sound signature of. Would you say it's worth it to get this if my only intention is to use it with eq? Does the technical performance justify it and do you think it would handle eq well?
If anyone is interested, the filters are: Peak filter @500hz, +3.5 db, Q 0.3 Peak filter @3800hz, +5 db, Q 1.5 I know this isn't "light" eq, but it's enough to bring the frequency response incredibly close to that of the Kato, which is a more safe kind of sound and one I definitely enjoy more. If this handles eq well, for 100$ to get planar technicalities and being able to get the Kato sound sig would be a pretty good deal, though I'm sure it needs testing
I am a boom operator and i need a more detail aspect iem on vocals mainly what you suggest ? Hexa ? Im on 200 dollar ish maximum to spend. Great reviews , thank you

These all use the same driver. There is no way that all planar drivers have that same basically frequency response. All the way up to the campfire audio supermoon.

Heyday imo is the best planar. But they are super similar technicalities wise between heyday, s12 and timeless so its more or less on tuning which is entirely subjective. The s12 series is quite niche in tuning unless you are a treble head so makes sense.

I bought the 7hz timeless and s12 pro last week with a an ifi hip dac 2.... the moment i turn the power on i said to me: shit, my wireless earbuds are pure crap 🤣🤣 what a HUGE difference !!! Now i want a better iems than the 7hz, maybe a dynamic driver for a warmer sound, but i don't know what to buy under 500$

Overall details are similar. Tanchjim oxygen and Kato are well regarded warm DDs for under 250, dunu Vulcan is fairly similar to timeless, blessing 3 is a detailed set but fairly neutral so might be boring. All good options. Aful performer 5 is an all rounder set with good value since it's only 220.
T10 sounds great but looks like a dollar store IEM sadly, which for some of us matters. If SQ is all you care about then definitely go for a T10 and save a lot.

IMO you really, really have to know what you like to spend that kind of money on an IEM.

For eq I'll prefer s12,12pro as they adopt eq like magic
For reference I have Er2xr, s12,12pro ,B2dusk and these planar are best for EQ

He said top better in his review. Both are basically equal though, top has better lower mids and bass and variations better treble and upper mids.
