Arthur Kottas-Heldenberg riding the classical Solo High School of the Spanish Riding School (at a show in Rotterdam 2001 ) with Favory Alea on curb bridle... The horse at that time was more than 25 years old and still in perfect condition. This solo shows a perfect classical seat wit soft aids and real collection of the horse performing calm and in balance all the High School movements on the ground. The collaboration between horse and rider is in harmony. I selected this video to document the difference in riding at the Spanish Riding School which we see today (2014) and the past years. THis video shows a classically trained horse. In the past years we see more and more horses showing signs of not classical and Hyperflexion training. Very nice...I am glad to see the return of classical dressage to the Spanish
Riding School....It is so influential...we need it to emphasize the importance of the classical training method.

Fab rider and so precise but not my favorite performance. short and choppy, prefer a bigger moving horse. but still an amazing performance, for a master of his craft.
