I remember when MTV used to show music videos. That's how I first heard of Memento. I remember buying their album not long after seeing this music. It was definitely one purchase I did not regret. I miss good music like this.
Memento along with Depswa and Lo Pro should have been big. It sucks when good bands don't get as much attention as others. This song was released when nu metal was fading from the mainstream (along with the other bands I've mentioned) which was unfortunate.

Just thought of this song because I asked if nothing was sacred anymore. first time I heard it was at ozzfest 03. Then I got a demo of ozzfest that was all the smaller bands songs and this was on there.

@@365daysgone yeah which is unfortunate since the whole album for beginnings doesn't have half of the unclean vocals I would've expected to be featured in most of the songs but still memento is an awesome band anyway they could've just builded up a heavier groove since memento had so much potential to become this famous
@@connorron3110 If you ask me, Memento sounds nothing like Mudvayne. Two very different bands. Justin Stewart Cotta's voice is much better than Chad Gray's... again, in my opinion. Seriously though, singing like Justin in this song is much harder than screaming through "Dig" by Mudvayne, for example.

the band vast introduced me to memento since Justin cotta use to be vasts guitarist and backing vocalist and after he left vast he wanted to try out something new then showed people how much of a sick voice he has its kinda strange he was first in a indie rock band then moved onto being in a nu metal band I mean I thought back than he looked like he could've been in one and I wasn't wrong Justin even had a goatee, an eyebrow piercing, he'd dress in a fishnet shirt, wore arm/wristbands and baggy pants what can't get any more nu than that?
