GLI Jb4 map guide:
Map 0: This is a stock map with JB4 logging ability. It is also the starter map for cars that are running flash tunes and are stacking the JB4.
Map 1: Tuned map with a average of 4.0psi over stock. This is the shipped map and is compatible for both 91 and 93 and can be used with cars on hardware.
Map 2: Tuned map with 5.0psi peak boost over stock. 93AKI/98Ron recommended
Map 3 Peak boost 6psi 93AKI/98Ron recommended
Map 4 Peak boost 6psi (Golf R and Audi S3 7speed DSG specific), it has a taper at higher rpm so will also work well for all on 93 in hot climates
Map 5 Absolute map peaking 25 tapers to 20psi. E30 with bolt ons needed. (not to be used on 1.8T or 2.0T Jetta)
Map 6: User adjustable boost map. The map comes preset with a 5.0psi over stock peak and is ready to use on any car running 93 octane. The preset map is also suitable for manual cars with clutch longevity in mind.
The mapping can be done in two manners. If the value at 1500 is kept below 10 it will work as a boost adder map. If the value at 1500 is higher than 10 it will work as a absolute map. This means actual total boost targets will need to be entered.
Map 7: Meth integration map using our FSB Meth controller
Map 8: This is a valet map/safety map where 50% of the boost is cut. It is also the starter map for cars that are running flash tunes and are stacking the JB4. It will give the ability to log the car via the JB4. This is also the safety map, so in any circumstance the JB4 detects a unsafe condition regardless of map it will default to this map. This includes knock detection, lean AFR or the boost safety value being triggered due to lack of boost control.
Accord Jb4 map guide:
Map 0: Disables JB4 all together
Map 1: +3.5 psi, default map. Suggested for 91+ octane.
Map 2: +4.0 psi, Suggested for 91-93 octane
Map 3: +4.5 psi, Suggested for 93+ octane
Map 4: +5.0 psi, Suggested for 30% E85
Map 5: +6.0 psi (30% E85 or race gas, alpha testing, seems OK so far)
Map 6: User Adjustable Custom Tuning Map
Map 7: +9.0 psi (30% E85 or race gas, alpha testing, use at your own risk!)
Map 8: VALET/Low Boost Map

I noticed the car was heatsoaked, the car will pull timing after iat goes above 110. I saw about 130-150 in those runs.
Try it when the iat is below 110!

Map 2 the boost comes on harder but tapers off sooner. Map 3 is a bit smoother to redline, but I think carries more boost in the higher RPMs
My Buddy owns one of these. Their Power top end is pretty impressive, a Roll race should be interesting.

Agreed. 20,30, rolls should be interesting if you guys find enough space to go up to 100-120ish. How much power does map1 give compared to map 3? How much power does JBR 4 add?
The maps don't produce the same gains in each map cross platform. I posted the map guide in the description for both cars. But the highest map we both can run is +6 psi over stock. I don't have actual dyno #'s
Good looking car. Those cars make serious power with a simple APR tune about 305 HP. You guys should do Dig but also roll races since they are both FWD. Was this factory tires?
They are summer tires, he has Golf R oem wheels and tires.
Fwd problems... even stock with launch control it will still spin, just less

I remembered apr stage 1 low torque actrually pulled harder at higher speeds/revs then apr high torque files which made way more power. Of course the high torque file went way harder anywhere below 100 tho

Nice ride man, I was looking into getting a mk7. I have a stage 3 mk5 that my wife drives most of the time. What is the Jb4 that you installed? Is it a tune like unitronic or apr?
Thanks! It's my friends car. The jb4 is a piggyback tuner. It doesn't flash the ecu like those tunes and leave breadcrumbs behind. They are good but can cause the dealer to deny any claims
If you are out of warranty the tune will be a better choice if your willing to put the extra $200 or so into it that is. I've had both and the tune gives a much smoother / linear ride.
You can swap the maps without turning the car on and off?

Nice one bud. How has the new filter on the accord been holding up? I am thinking of copping one, saw you said it's only 50$?. I'm guessing you are going back to stock filter for race? or does buddy own one too?. Also what is the tint level on the accord? i been wanting to tint.
Thanks! Im very happy with the drop in. Yup only runs around $50 but check advanced auto parts. He did the drop in filter as well because as my findings, so all things will be pretty equal. He just needs to put his 2 child seats back in so we have the same setup.

Hi , i insatlled JB4 on my Jetta GLI 2016 and i was wondering if i run it on 6 map , will gearbox handle it ? Or its too much pressure on it? Please answer. iist DSG
Should be fine it's a pretty good transmission. Even if you constantly beat on your car even stock it will cause premature wear.

According to my buddy in the video with the GLI, theres a nice increase in power over the other maps

I've been looking into getting a tune for my mk7 gli, did you put any performance mods on your car before tuning it? Or is it all stock parts and just tuned?
It's my buddies car. At first just the jb4 and a k&n filter. Now the car has a full turbo back exhaust. There's a link in the description for the jb4.
Just spend the money and use a proper tune. They don't void your warranty for scheduled maintenance.
Yes but if something does go wrong they could potentially blame it on that. For instance his LSD was leaking for no good reason the car only had 2k miles on it. If they realized the car was tuned the possibility could have denied the warranty claim.
whats the big difference between the bluetooth jb4 and the wired one?
It not a big difference. Its more of a convenience when switching maps and viewing live gauges

It will not. The only way to do that is by getting a regular ecu flash tune

What Octane fuel is the tune on?
93 octane, hes running map 6 now with some adjustments from the tuner and it pulls much harder now. He also added a catted downpipe since
Can you run JB4 with 85/87 octane?
@@TheMapleleafs21 The gli stock requires premium fuel. Never run anything less than premium when tuning for more power, you would just be asking for problems

@@TheMapleleafs21 the highest available in your area. Always 93 preferred but if you only have 91 where you live then you have to make due.

How do you activate launch control?
Sports mode
Turn off traction control
Push breaks all the way down
Then press gas and it will activate
When you ran the OBD wire through the firewall did you have to cut through a boot or were you able to pull out a plug and push it through the firewall?
Yes he had to make a small cut in the boot to run it
@@DanVilla7 yep same here. So I just took it out for the first time on map one. I have an open AFE intake and basically a muffler delete. Definitely felt more power it was kind of weird I lost my DSG pop in between 1-2,2-3 shifts and sometimes it kind of felt like the jb4 was in and out through the run. Not like it completely cut out but like timing was changing or something like that. Power was kind of in and out
That's odd. Send a log to the tuners to make sure everything is working properly

If you're usind the jb4 wireless could possibly be a blue issue. The firmware shouldn't affect showing data. I would contact burger motorsports if you can't get it sorted. They have good customer service amd if your Bluetooth adapter is bad they will usually replace it for free
I know this is easy to remove and reinstall, but can the dealership tell the cars been tuned?
By using a jb4 your not reflashing the ecu so it really shouldn't leave a trace. I wouldn't say it would be 100% fool proof because anything is possible but not likely.
Dan Villa Thanks it’s tempting to see what these 2.0Ts can do with a tune, but I think I’m going to wait until my warranty is up to decide.
It won’t show on a flash counter but I have to think if they dig deep enough to deny a warranty claim they could see boost and fuel trim levels exceeded stock If the ECU stores that info. I have a friend with a Uni stage 1+ on their Jetta and dealer is replacing steering rack without issue. Dice roll. I’d rather tune a low miles engine and shorten service intervals than wait for 50k or later to add stress to the engine. My .02
