- Yes, my clock says it's Sunday. It is. But this happens on plenty of weekdays too. Any time of any day is apparently game for the tenants upstairs. No regard to their three nextdoor neighbors. 🫠
Whether I'm trying to fall asleep, it's disrupting REM, or the first thing I hear in the morning. Only way to drown out the thumping of my ceiling is ear buds with white noise maxed out, which I find less than ideal when trying to sleep.
I don't want to dictate what people do in their own homes, but I feel like shaking my ceiling and screaming at 4am is crossing a boundary.
Oh well. At least they're having fun.

Q: How often does the couple upstairs do this?
At the time I recorded this, the couple upstairs predictably did this every Friday and Saturday night, between November 2023 and February 2024. It was all-the-more frustrating when it would happen in the early evenings or early mornings on workdays.
Q: Has it happened since?
Miraculously, it's only happened once or twice since I uploaded this. One time, it might've been in the early morning-and I was able to fall back asleep. The other time, it might've been an early evening, during which I was already listening to music. By complete coincidence, I recorded one of their last sessions. I don't think the couple broke up though. I've still heard both of their (loud) speaking voices through my ceiling. Yes, sometimes in the middle of the night.
Q: What did I plan to do with this recording?
The night I filmed this was the last straw. I caved in and recorded the noise, and I planned to show it to the landlord in the form of a noise complaint. When I voiced my intentions on Reddit, someone called me a "narc" and said I should confront my neighbors first. 😅 (Another person recommended I pound on their door to spook them haha.) I indecisively uploaded this video to UA-cam instead, for temporary storage. I really didn't expect the algorithm to recommend it to others. But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't hoping at least one person would come along and offer their sympathies. 🥲
Q: Do I have other recordings?
I vowed to record follow-up incidents; I figured having a repository would prove how frequently this occurs. But cosmically, they up-and-stopped soon after I recorded this. (However, I may have jinxed myself by implying they've stopped for good.)
I just uploaded this to YT on a whim. Why does this video have 22,000 views lol.
EDIT: One month later, 75,000 people have stumbled upon audio of my neighbors going at it. 100 people subscribed as a result. 😭

Fr like I’m traumatized after hearing this coming from my mom’s room. She raised me by her self since my dad left me and my younger brother has a dad it’s just his dad and my mom got divorced after he was born so he switches houses on certain days.

One night I woke up around 11:01 pm. I was around 13 years old at the time. I needed to use the bathroom and both the bathrooms happened to be right next to my mom’s room.
So I got up and started to walk past my mom’s room (she doesn’t have a door on her room) and I heard m0@n!ng. I thought to myself oh it’s probably the tv I hope.. I peeked my head around the corner and saw that it was pitch black and there was no light shining anywhere in the room. I heard the bed squeaking I was confused since my mom was single. I went to the kitchen and looked out the window to see a grey Honda mini van in the drive way. It had a fire ems sticker on the back it had dents in it and fresh looking scratches. I got so scared I ran to my room and started crying traumatized by the noises.
I waited like an hour till I couldn’t hold it in anymore I ran for the bathroom not caring if they were still doing the “devils tango”.. I didn’t hear anything and it was pitch black in the hallway so I couldn’t see where I was going. I tried running into my bathroom but the only thing I ran into was a door that happened to be locked. Then I tried going in my mom’s bathroom and it was also shut and locked.
My mom said “What do you need sis”
I said “I need to use the bathroom but my bathroom doors locked…”
“Oh your brothers in there” my mom said.
I said “Oh ok” as she walked out naked wrapped in a towel. I started to walk into the bathroom but she dropped something as I was walking in it was a pair of red Th0ng$ with uhm “Oreo icing” in them I looked down at them and looked up at her with wide open eyes. I ran in the bathroom and locked the door. While I was taking care of my business I realized that my brother wasn’t even home he was at his dads. I washed my hands and ran out of the bathroom only to see an old man (looked around 50) running into my mom’s room n@k3d….
My mom said here you look like you need some medicine take it. She shoved sleeping pi!!$ down my throat I went back to my room and called my Bsf Jenna to see if her mom (my second mom) could come pick me up. She rushed over and asked what happened I told her everything and she took me away from her for a good couple weeks. Until I got to see her again I was rly scared but now me and my mom are kinda close again we don’t talk much anymore but we’re still close ISHH.
