- Module 4 (Storage Devices) of the Full CompTIA A+ Training Course which is for beginners. This is part of the Core 1 which mostly focuses on the 1001 exam questions and topics.
In this video we cover the fourth module of the Full A+ Course which is all about Storage Devices. Pretty much everything in this module is about some form of storage. This includes but is not limited to things like RAM, Hard Drives (HDD, SSD), RAID and much more

I have gone through this course with you twice, just listening in the background to refresh before taking the test.
I tried listening to a couple of other people's A+ courses and they suck. Thanks for keeping it interesting and easy to follow. AI generated courses suck and they are watering down the UA-cam platform.
I've been seeing a lot of people say they listen the stuff in the background.
I actually didn't make the training material with that in mind but surprisingly it ended up working quite well when people also just listen to it like a podcast. Who knew lol haha

@@BurningIceTech I work full time and have lots of yardwork etc, so time to stop and view a screen is very limited. But also, I went to a tech school for electronics and networking during Y2K bubble, and got hired right out the door so I skipped getting the A+ and Net+ certs we were trained for. Just feel like getting them now to make it official and get back to computer work after several creative gigs. Your observations are right in line with my experience doing various jobs including help desk and cloud controlled directory kiosks along the way.
I am planning to sit down and watch your more advanced cert courses to see what direction seems appealing next.

Hello. Great video. Regarding the dual memory channel, I did have an issue when trying to install 2 different brand of DDR3 stick. Although the have the same speed, capacity and latency, only 1 was recognized in dual channel mode. I had to install the other stick in another slot in single architecture. too bad.

The 1002 videos are from module 10 in the course. The full course consists of 18 modules, the first 9 is 1001 or "Core 1" as some call it and the last 9 (10-18) is 1002 which people call "Core 2".

Hi,
The reason your seeing more than one video listed as "Module 4" for example is because there is more than one version of the CompTIA A+ course your watching.
CompTIA releases a new version of each of their courses roughly every 3.5 years. Normally when they release a new version, there is about 3-6 overlap period where the previous older version of the course can still be attended at training institutions and where the older associated exams can still be written. After that, the previous older course gets "retired"
Usually when they bring a newer version of a course out, they remove some older things which are now considering out dated and then they also add some new stuff which is to keep up with modern technology.
Usually when they bring out new version of the "A+" course for example, the changes are massive. The last time round though, the changes were luckily minimal.
The video your commenting on is from the "1000 series/version" of A+ which consisted of 18 modules and which got retired in end of 2022. The link you gave is a to a video in the newer "1100 series" of A+ which is currently the latest version of A+. It was released in May 2022 and will probably still be the latest for at least another 2 years.
The newer 1100 series has 20 modules instead of 18 like the previous one but that does not however mean that it's "more content". CompTIA simply went and stretched the content out over more modules and then they also went and re-arranged some topics.
In my honest opinion, if you want to do the older 1000 series of the course, you'll be perfectly fine and you'll still be able to pass the newer A+ exams. In the end, 1 + 1 is still 2 :)
