Glad you have fixed it! The Extreme MLAG protocol acts differently with STP since XOS 22.3. Prevoius versions handled the STP by itself and nowadays you have to force enable it as you mentioned. The misconfig on that 1 port caused the loop since STP kicked in where the MLAG didin't.
Yeah that makes sense. I was kicking myself for missing issuing that command against that port but I was consoled by the fact that professional services missed it too! They suggested the MLAG between dist switch and core would fix the problem. Wait till I tell them STP was still enabled on one port. :-) Thanks for keeping me honest and please keep sharing your knowledge with us! God bless!
I hate answers like these but... it depends. Depends on location, experience, etc. I'd say for a new network admin, no experience you can expect from $40,000-60,000 to start. Work conditions are generally pretty good, mostly just setting up and tearing down networks. They don't break too often. Most places will want you to be on call for at least some portion of the time, meaning, you're expected to answer calls in the middle of the night and resolve issues. Best of luck and God bless!

Do you hire a professional company to run those cables?
Much of the fiber was run by a contractor, the remainder was run by our in-house engineering team. God bless!
